JS10th #8 – Near Mint early first run low number Chromeboy that has been played but really shows no evidence of it in the chrome as there is no fingernail or pick scratching. There are scattered wiping / dusting scratches and a patch of light scratches on the control cover that just don’t have an explanation, but are there. The front does have some small scattered pimples but they are of the smaller variety. Because I know this was played several times any of the light scratching can be attributed to use but if you read the details on the #22 listing it’s also just as likely they were on the guitar when new. No glam pics taken, all were taken with flash or into glare to try and show the surface at it’s worst. In clean original case that has 3 longs scuffs and one small tolex tick, strap and cord were used.** $5750** GONE** THANKS JOHN** 5/4/07

JS10th #22 –Near Mint early first run Chromeboy that has about 15 fingernail scratches below the pickups and very few light scattered wiping scratches. It’s very hard to determine on these what was post factory/distributor and what was on them when shipped to the dealer as Chromes were new territory to all involved and how fragile the finish wasn’t known. #4 was delivered to the dealer in pathetically scratched condition. This was ordered and picked up from the dealer and claimed unplayed, supposedly never to leave its case and it is very possible that is the absolute truth. Chrome flaws are numerous pimples scattered on the front and an extremely pitted control cover. There is also a “water spot” flaw on the back near the lower strap pin. First run chromes are more nickel white than chromes blue and as a result are a little less mirror reflective than the later 2 runs, but of course these are the most desirable low numbers. No glam pics taken, all were taken with flash or into glare to try and show the surface at it’s worst. In crisp original case with unused strap and cord.** $5500** GONE** THANKS LOUIS** 6/11/07

JS10th - Great chrome on this one, no pick or fingernail scratches, any scratching present is ultra light wiping scratches and normal handling scratches found on them new from the factory. Probably due to the tougher chrome on this one [remember there were 3 different platers that did the run, each different] as I cannot scratch it with a hard finger rub. No hairs, some scattered tiny dust specs, really excellent chrome. I finally found the dink on the edge of the trem rout, and it does have one short scratch through below the tone knob. Unfortunately it's been separated from it's original chrome backplates [edition number unknown], strap, cord, and original silver case. It has black replacement plates on it and is in a clean UV1000 case.** $2300** GONE** THANKS KEVIN** 11/10/03

JS10th #492 - Dead Mint -, super clean chrome, very few and sparse light wiping scratches and one very small 2mm "dull spot" in the chrome at the volume knob. In unplayed condition. Perfect case and all unused case candy.** $3250** GONE** THANKS NICK** 9/25/03

JS10th - # 243 - As scratch free as will be found!! Has 3 hairs and 3 small pieces of dirt on the face but truly in superb condition for a Chrome! Crisp US case with all case candy of course.** $2850** GONE** THANKS AMBROSE** 12/12/02

JS10th - # 495 - Has been played but the chrome is in SUPERB condition. Outside of 2 scratches on the edge and some light swirls in the fingernail area it's exceptionally scratch free. Case, cord, and strap of course, and in original shipping box! Signed by Joe if you care.** $2700** GONE** THANKS EVE** 7/2/02

JS10th - In played condition, has a 1mm x 6mm strip of chrome missing I have yet to touch up, pick scratches are not bad, but all over wiping scratches. Back is actually way better than front. Silver case with all accessories. $2000** GONE** THANKS ROSS** 1/12/02

JS10th - Used but excellent condition, very light fingernail scratches, VERY clean chrome, used strap and cord**$2200** GONE** THANKS DON** 12/19

JS10th - # 76** - In virtually unplayed condition. Minimal 'factory' surface scratching, about 6 fingernail scratches. Rear cover with some scratches. Unused strap and cord, RARE case with Anniversary plaque** $2750** GONE** THANKS RICK** 10/18

JS10th - #40 - Mint with factory touch up**$2400** GONE** THANKS DAVID**10/12

JS90th - Exc -, the worst flaw is a large circle crack on the bottom edge below the switch. There are 2 top edge [while playing] finish crack, one 2mm and the other 5mm, everything else is on the back with about 5 short 2mm finish cracks scattered. There is chrome wear on the top and bottom edges of both pickups and the chrome is thin around the poles. There are more light pick scratches over the neck than below the pickups, and there's a tiny chip at the tip of the headstock, near zero fretwear. There is allot of chrome corrosion on the hardware that will take me a long time to clean up but I did test areas you can see in the pics and it does clean off. I've had this for a long time as it was covered with stickers when I bought it and had to remove them all to tell what the true condition was. With cert, in clean world case.** $1550** GONE** THANKS JEFF** 1/30/06

JS90th - Excellent +++, one small 5mm x 1mm wear spot on the bridge p/u chrome, a patch of scratches on the bottom side down from the output jack, probably from a stand burr, and just enough pick/fingernail scratching to know it's been played once or twice. Otherwise this is a crisp 90th, and looks like it. In original World 90 case, with Cert of course** $1800** GONE** THANKS KEVIN** 7/19/04

JS90th - Excellent +, chrome wear off the very top edge of both bobbin bridge pickup, and just a hair line off one of the bobbins bottom edge. Paint it extremely clean with no even light scratching anywhere. It's only real flaw is a well touched up neck pocket chip on the bottom side of the pocket where you can't see it. Cert, In M100.** $1600** GONE** THANKS  JAMIE** 7/12/04

JS90th - Fair condition would be generous, plenty of little dinks and cracks, 85% p/u chrome loss, little chip on edge of trem rout, hardware corrosion, but still looks "decent" from the front. Large 1cm x 2.5cm chunk of finish off back edge, large dink next to trem cavity [cover missing], but good neck and good player. Does have fretwear grooves starting in the first few frets. Has cert, go figure. Chrome Bobbin Toppers put on since pics, looks much better! Original case. $975** GONE** THANKS LIAM** 6/23/03

JS90th - Excellent +, no chrome wear, only a hint of pick scratching, but a 4mm finish crack on the upper horn and a 2x4mm dink on the front bottom edge. If it weren't for these it would be near dead mint! No cert, World case** $1625** GONE** THANKS HAL** 2/8/03

JS90th - DEAD MINT, crisp, but missing cert. Perfect case. $1850** GONE** THANKS LARRY** 11/19/02

JS90th - Fair condition would be generous, plenty of little dinks and cracks, 85% p/u chrome loss, little chip on edge of trem rout, hardware corrosion, but still looks "decent" from the front. JS90th - A great one to buy as a player. 1 tiny 1.5mm dink, 3mm finish crack, a 4mm scratch bottom edge, with chrome wear off just the edges of the bridge pickup only. Back was flawless until it was shipped on top of the cert. People, people, people, don't ever ship a guitar with the body directly laying on the cert!!! This causes cert rash, which are very very light scratches, but lots of them. In world 90th case, with cert, top edge of cert folder crumpled by the neck plate during shipping, cert fine** Offered 2 ways, as is $1500, or buffed $1550** GONE** THANKS JEFF** 8/19/02

JS90th - DEAD MINT** $2000** GONE** THANKS FRED** 8/9

JS90th - Dead Mint **$1600** GONE** THANKS LUTHER**10/12** CONGRATS on the teams Bronze Medal!!**

JS7 - Harpers built Custom JS style 7 string in Dead Mint condition. Blue finished Sweet quilted maple top over mahogany, 24 fret neck with full abalone vine inlay, Lo Pro7 trem and Duncan p/u's. Harpers necks tend to be very squarish, which is good because there's plenty of meat to be reshaped into any profile you like. WELL over $2000 invested when built. In new UV1000 case. $1450** GONE** THANKS BRIAN** 7/8/03

JS1's - before I'm asked *again* "What's a JS1?", a 1 is the original top line JS. It has the same specs as the JS2 (Chrome), JS3 (Donnie), JS4 (Rainbow), and JS5 (Rainforest) except for the finish. These are original Edge equipped just like Joes. When the cheap JS100 was introduced they changed the JS1 model # to JS1000 so that the best model didn't have a lower model # than the cheap Korean version.

JS1BK - 1990 in, Fair to Poor, you decide. It wasn't padded heavy enough for shipping and took a shot that broke up the top edge. There's a 3" long rip running across the top edge with a smaller smack mark on the back edge. I wouldn't doubt there's some cracked wood under this one. Not that it was a prize pig before it was shipped, but it sure looked alot better in the picture and description I bought it from!! Plenty of pics so you're in no way misled about the condition from overall dings to long finish cracks on the back, rough headstock, missing string tree, changed knobs, etc. The skunk stripe in the neck is unglued on the treble side which was a problem with JS1's [in fact I rejected a JS1200 last month with the same, it just didn't have 17 years on it]. The neck is stable and it's not a structural problem but it could use sealing with super glue and ten sanding flush to not feel it. Overall a piece of crap I'll loose around $300 on just to dump. Possibly good for a refin / custom pain project. Hardware is actually in very good condition [the white corrosion on the mounting rings usually comes of with some clearcoat polish and fingernail scraping] and there fretwear definitely isn't bad. In the same piss poor gig bag it shipped in with the lost black chips still inside. ** $525, AS IS of course** GONE** THANKS FILIPPO** 5/31/07

JS1BK - 1991 Black in Excellent. It's definitely got it's share of fingernail/pick scratching but even though the area is cloudy it's very light scratching. There is a short finish crack below the vol knob and a very small ding between the vol and the mounting ring, a shallow 5x3mm finish crack/dink at the top edge arm contour, and a small one on the back bottom edge. It has 1/2" neck joint finish cracks treble and bass sides and a ding and chip at the bass side edge on the neck pocket on the neck and the pocket. There are some minor marks on the back of the neck commensurate with it's age, none that can be more than barely felt. There are 3 flea bites out of the edge of the filthy headstock face, and enough fretwear to know it's been played but only a hair of dimples at the G and B 2nd fret. In horridly thin home market gig bag [I bought this out of Japan] with original warranty card and hang tags priced at 140,000 Yen [a LOT for 1991!]** $1175** GONE** THANKS SCOTT** 12/26/06

JS1BK - 1990 in Fair. My run of bum auction deals on JS's continues. The body was oversprayed with clear, probably just to brighten the shine but who knows. There's a wear thru patch below the pickups and another around the vol knob. Small ding on the face, there are deeper larger dings on the bottom and top sides, and what caused the whatever on the back is anybodies guess. Rough tip on the headstock, replaced nut, vol knob, looks like the trem is a used replacement because of the wear to the bridge mounting ring. If it hadn't had a very good level and the neck wasn't such a good neck, this would just be a basket case. But the neck is very good so it's an excellent player, especially for somebody gigging. AS IS of course. In another crap gig bag.** $725** GONE** THANKS RICK** 10/2/06

JS1BK - 1991 Black in Excellent. It's definitely got it's share of fingernail/pick scratching but even though the area is cloudy it's very light scratching. JS1BK - 90' Black in Excellent -. Flaws include a shallow 3mm ding on the front near the top in the contour and 2 other tiny dings, one in the pick scratch area [which is just a little hazy] that's 1mm and the other on the lower horn that's a bare 1mm depression. The worst is an inch long scratch on the upper top where your arm would cover when playing [it's polish up a little with a dremmel buff but could wet sand out easy] and a shallow 5mmm ding close to it.. Super clean neck, head, and hardware, absolutely minimal fretwear. Missing trem cover. In pretty clean EC3 case.** $900** GONE** THANKS KEVIN** 3/12/03

JS1BK - 91' in players condition. No chips but several dinks on the face, a finish crack from the volume knob, back has several long finish crack, neck joint finish cracks. Excellent neck with mild fretwear mostly under the G string. Some pimpling on the hardware, missing trem cover. In E3C case with large piece of tolex missing. $625** GONE** THANKS JOHN** 12/16/02

JS1BK - 91' with 1 long narrow dink on face and light overall scratchy surface (needs buff), Perfect neck!! No case.** $650** GONE** THANKS ROSS** 1/24/02

JS1BK - 91' in near Mint, 1 small 1/8" dink on face otherwise exceptionally clean! 2 very shallow dimples on back.** $800** More pics here ** GONE** THANKS RICK** 1/9/02

JS1BK HSH - Scarce 92' HSH model with the 5 way switching. Body is very clean except for a *large* chunk of missing finish in front of the lower strap pin about 1 1/4" long by 3/8" wide. Some light pick scratch and some light surface button scratching on back, not worming. Some very thin chips on the top edge of the head. In M100, all latches working but with some heat distortion on the bottom side.** $675** GONE** THANKS EDDIE** 5/24/02

JS1IR - 91' in Excellent -, Looks extremely clean from the front but between the bridge and bridge pup is a line of 5 small chips, only one 2x3mm showing wood. Caused by the regular FR trem arm the previous owner had on it allowing the trem more forward motion that it was designed for which let the saddle ships come into contact with the edge of the trem rout. There's only one dink on the body and it's on the back, about 4mm round. The headstock is normally scratchy for a 13 year old played guitar and the back of the neck has had the finish removed to get that slippery woody feel but has not discolored. Has a Carvin M22 in the bridge position but the original Fred will be reinstalled and a new Edge arm holder will replace the FR type in it now. In clean M100** $900** GONE** THANKS STEVE** 5/26/05

JS1IR - 91' Very rare Inferno Red, a few dinks but in excellent player condition. In non Ibanez case** $650** GONE** THANKS RICH** (no, not me!!:) 1/22/02

JS1WH 91' HSH - Exc. condition and looks clean until you look close. Face is clean but with a few scratches, including a weird one that runs between the neck pickup and neck. The bottom side has a large bruise that only left light finish cracks. There's a series of scratches on the back butt end, minor marks on the headstock edges, an E string impression on the back of the neck [weird, but barely felt], light fretwear and a small impression in the board, NJFC's on both sides, and pimpling to the trem and bridge bezel. Missing strap pins and trem cover, in OK gig bag.** $900** GONE** THANKS SCOTT** 12/11/06

JS1WH - 1991 refin in good condition. The refin is not bad but definitely not pro. Probably quick body shop. There is light wet sanding scratches left that needed a better polish, and a few signs there were blems under the paint, including a line depression on the inside edge of the lower bout and a couple long line finish cracks on the back, but overall it looks pretty good and the hardware is pretty clean with just some light pimples on the trem. The neck is showing the typical marks on the back you would expect from a 15 year old played guitar. None of the bruises are deep enough to be a bother, mostly light and shallow, some small spots of clear loss that have darkened. There is a little fretwear but also, no bad at all. Of course this was supposed to be a super clean guitar, just another bullet to bite, so dumping AS IS. In thin no protection gig bag.** $775** GONE** THANKS ANESTIS** 7/21/06

JS1WH 91' HSH - Very early [by serial number J 001380] HSH model in super clean condition. There  is a very tough to see 4mm finish crack on the lower front and an impossible to see 1cm finish crack on the back. Very light fingernail scratching in the picking area and some very light scratches on the lower back, definitely the cleanest HSH WH I've seen [it would also be the cleanest HH WH if it was]. In original Prestige Deluxe.** $1200** GONE** THANKS JIM** 3/18/05

JS1WH - Player condition, pitting dinks cracks etc. missing covers, in M100c broken center latch** $575** (This was my 'travel guitar' and I took it with me camping/trips etc., for obvious reasons, it's not as clean as the rest of my players, I'm just running out of room!!:)  SALE ** $525 ** GONE** THANKS GREG** 8/23

JS1 Nickel Plate - One of my ebay mistakes. Nearly finished but it needs new stud inserts and studs, and to be wired, otherwise it's done. These Nickelers [who advertise on ebay as Historical Arts and Guns Girls and Guitars] are pure butchers. They get a great nickel finish but at the price of sloppily routed neck pocket and trem rout, wavy surfaces from loose finish [the nickel and conduct coat is about 2mm thick so very stable, but the adhesion to body leaves a little to be desired] and the process can create some underlying original finish problems, this one pronounced with a ridge that runs right under the trem rout to the tail. Area the size of a pea of missing nickel, copper showing, right at the point of the lower side trem rout, direct from the platers like this. Pathetic when paying for a first rate plating. Very nice neck and head with moderate fretwear. Needs good buff [I gave it a quickie for pics] Blowing out at cost but will include the inserts and studs to finish. In absolute trash bass case for shipping. [I've seen one other JS plated and it wasn't nearly as bad [at midnight in the street after a JS concert] but had the same sloppy routes and that one had file gouges all around the cavities where they'd cleaned plate buildup]** $825** GONE** THANKS KEV** 5/19/03

JS6 - Exc+++, definitely one of the cleanest 6's I've had. There's a little fingernail wear and coloring under the bridge pup, a small patch of light scratches on the butt side, and a light scratch on the back, but for an oil finished guitar this is super clean. Perfect crisp headstock without even any string change scratches, clean hardware with no wear/corrosion, near to no fretwear. In grey forgotten model Ibanez case [my 91' catalog Donnie came in a case like this].** $1650** GONE** THANKS BRIAN** 3/30/06

JS6 - Excellent condition but it does have some dings and worm marks typically found on any oil finished guitar. The most notable are the 2 below the pickups, but there are several more on the side near the jack, and then some other minor worm trails and marks on the back and bottom side. Clean hardware, virtually no fretwear. In M100 that's been sprayed with black to "freshen" up the blackness, dumb.** $1325** GONE** THANKS MILOSH** 11/28/05

JS6 - Good condition, small hole drilled in the face for a GK2, Ibanez logo and swoosh scraped off "cleanly", nut changed to bone style, some light marring on the board that will steam out. Very clean body with pretty grain. In SKB, AS IS.** $675** GONE** THANKS RICH** 6/16/03

JS6000 - Exc +++. Like all oil finished mahogany every single bump leaves a mark, but this is an extremely clean looking guitar. The largest and only really noticeable bruise is on the top edge where it bumped something just hard enough to flatten the edge 5mm x 1cm. There are quite a few very small very shallow marks around the sides, none that can be seen from the front. There is light pick worming on the front above and below the pickups seen at certain angles, and light worming patch on the back but no sweat staining on the body anywhere. There is a small 2mm edge bruise on the lower edge of the headstock. Finish wear on one side of the volume and tone knobs [kinda odd] and strange finish loss to the treble side of the neck mounting ring that is not from wear or picking, just the very edge of the low E saddle showing wear on the bridge. Just enough fretwear to know it was played a few years. In clean original RG140C, original hang tags, original shipping box.** $1600** GONE** THANKS ELVIND** 9/24/07

JS1000BTB - I think. When I bought this I thought it was a TB but I'm figuring it's a BTB with weaker scorching. Of course when I bought it I thought it was a whole lot cleaner. Condition - fair. I'll keep the description short and let the pictures show, because there's just too much to list. Front looks decent, besides the ample hardware corrosion. Typical pick scratch patch and some blems near the bottom front side. But the sides and back show more than I could count using my fingers and toes, and yours. Many many dings and finish cracks, mostly small but a few not, with lots of rivet rash on the back. The good points, good neck, barely any fretwear, and only one small edge chip to the head, and the body front doesn't look that bad. This will be sold as is, you don't want to pay the upcharge for me to work on this. JS2000 - Dead Mint, this guitar came in with a fresh setup, fret level, and action set extremely low. It's definitely passable as is but the frets could use a better crowning and there is evidence of crowning file scratching. They are in decent polish but it could be better and could the end finishing. If you want the crown, end finishing, and polish redone add $100, otherwise I'll tweak the setup and send it as is. In crisp UV1000 case.** $1200** GONE** THANKS MARTON** 11/27/06
