RBM400 - Koch Collection - SOLD

WRB3CA - Super clean and extremely rare. These are just as rare as the graphic model. There is a 3mm finish crack on the top above the bridge, and a couple small shallow depressions near it, a small 2mm edge chip by the strap pin, a few very light scratches top and back, on the back there is a 5mm finish crack between the cover and strap pin. a 3mm finish crack on the other side of the cover with a tiny ding nearby, and a couple minor scuffs on the pin side edge. NJFC's on both sides of the neck pocket. The neck is very clean but does have some very light marks, and the tip of the head has a small bruise, a slight chip off the edge of the head. It was played some and has very minimal fretwear, but the EMG logo with wear on the center pickup. The rosewood fretboard is so nice and near grainless it's very difficult to tell from ebony. Signed and dated cover with slight wear which is mostly little scratches. In it's correct original gig bag. RBM1- LACS - This is a factory RBM1 that has been modified by the LACS, possibly modified for Reb, but no way to verify. The stock RBM body has a brass pickguard and pickup mounting ring, and has been somewhat sloppily routed around the original control cover rout to fit a larger sloppily cut cover, for what reason is unknown as the control cavity itself [I believe] is dead stock, although I don't have another RBM to compare it to]. The stock RBM1 neck has been reboarded with a thicker rosewood slab and the headstock, that was color matched, was painted black [the turquoise showing through around the string retainer holes. The side dots in the second half of the scale were between maple and rosewood so the leftover halves were filled with maple. These disappear before the 12th for whatever reason. The neck is unplayable as it is. There is a large hump at the 2nd fret [or serious scarf joint itis bass side] that will cut out in a deep cut, but the neck is also very twisted to the treble side. To be properly fixed the frets should be pulled and the board planed to remove the hump and twist, the rosewood is plenty thick enough. There are other ways to fix it but that choice is up to the luthier that does the job. There is no open E, A, or D, or F, A#, D# as it is now, and the frets ends have a minimum 1/2mm and more of overhang from neck shrinkage. As for condition there are long checking cracks accross the face of the headstock, the body with several small dings and finish cracks scattered but the worst on the back edge that's a little over an inch long by probably 1/2" wide, mostly all finish cracking. Long NJFC bass side with a shorter on the treble, lots of gold wear to the mounting ring, black edge trem with plenty of wear and pimpling on the baseplate, and needs to be changed for a gold lo pro. Full EMG setup. In generic case but fits well. If this was modified for Reb he has said many times that his RBM2's were the only good guitars he had from Ibanez and that the rest were junk, this one would fit that description. ** AS IS $1500** GONE ** JARED PITTMAN** 2/16/09 **WARNING** Guitar was delivered on 2/18. - Then listed on eBay 2/27 by the buyer, eBay ID - farmerjoe.502, here. There is no mention of any issues with the neck and only evasive answers by email. From the pictures shown it does not appear anything has been done whatsoever. Further prompting has led to a refusal to send me a close up of the second fret, although from this picture it's evident to me nothing has been done to it [which he's removed since to remove any close ups where you can see the fretwork, but it still remains in the ebay system], and this picture recently added to the auction clearly shows the twist has not been fixed. He's still "adjusting" the description, now claiming the board has been planed to perfection, I guess it has a perfect twist to it then so you have nothing to worry about.  I'm also still owed $25 in shipping for this guitar and am being ignored, in fact just told to fuck off. These facts should tell you all you need to know.** UPDATE** That ebay account was killed by ebay, obviously this guy has a history of defrauding buyers. It is now listed under a different ID here, using the ID motorsguy7881. Now with almost no description and his typical AS IS NO RETURNS policy. On it's 3rd listing under this ID, now flouting the LACS association.

RBM2NT - 91' but with Lo Pro, this is signed #50. This guitar has seen it's share of play and live gigs so it has it's share of marks, enough that I will just let the pictures do the description, but, it's got a great neck with no signs of scarf joint shrinkage and very little fretwear to show for it's years of play. RBM2NT - 91' - First year with the Edge trem in Near Mint!! This was the cleanest 2NT I'd ever had, now back for a second visit. There is some minor guard scratching, a little gold wear off just the points of the wound saddles and some off the treble side of the bridge p/u bezel, and an area of scattered light worming lines in the back. There is a small bruise on the back edge of the lower cutaway, but otherwise it's a very crisp nearly flamed mahogany body, and a sweet Koa top, with absolutely no staining. Perfect beautiful Brazilian neck and board with just a hint of fretwear, a small tick at the very tip of the headstock. Old Gallery  pics here from when I had it many years ago. RBM2NT - First year model with Edge trem #42. This one like most is showing plenty of minor handling marks since there is nothing to protect the wood. Nothing major and all well documented in the pics. In addition there is wear below the pickups and a little wear above, but plenty of finish wear to the pickup bezel and trem baseplate with pimpling also. The neck is very clean with the exception of a lost factory fill to what I believe is a small knot in the back, probably popped from shrinkage. There is a small edge bruise on the back edge of the head and a very shallow one on the front edge. Medium fretwear that will cut out. The knob has been lost and replaced with a very similar type but grey plastic which I'll replace with a regular gold if desired. The signature on the plate faded and the date and number overwritten, the back of the head signed in 94'. In the case is copies of the original pics of the first 2 groups of signed plates received by HUSA, I will include copies of these. This guitar sold on eBay about 6 months ago for $2750, and another in very similar condition sold recently for the same. In it's original silver band M150 with 2 metal backplate bulletproof pro repaired broken latches.** $2600** GONE** THANKS BILL** 7/14/08

RBM2NT - Player condition would be generous, but beater might be a little too harsh. There are numerous dings and worm trails, 2 extra screws added to the face for some reason, it was used lefty for some time so both pins were moved, the top pin twice, to the AANJ and to the lower horn. There's gold corrosion under the pickguard, the micro switch has been replaced with [I guess] a tone pot and has a skull knob on it, the headstock logo is gone, serial number unreadable. The good points are the gold on the original edge trem is in very good condition and the fretwear is fairly mild. No case, no gig bag, nadda. AS IS, this was an ebay mistake and since there's no profit in it I can't put any time in it.** $1150** GONE** THANKS DAVID** 12/15/05

RBM2NT - Exc, plenty of small marks that are shown in the pics but overall it looks excellent.  A previous owner did do some light sanding on the upper top and in the belly contour, probably to get rid of sweat staining on the front and ? [worming?] on the back. The guard is very clean and the trem is only showing gold wear on the tops of the saddles but the treble side of the mounting ring has allot of gold wear and the top of the bridge EMG is showing string wear. There are several small bruises to the front and back bottom edge of the headstock, and medium fretwear especially under the G second fret. In clean M150C with a sticker on the top, but the butterfly is broken on the center latch, latch still intact and locks fine [just a little trickier without the butterfly].** $1700** GONE** THANKS JOHN** 12/16/05

RBM2NT - 91' - First year with the Edge trem in Near Mint!! RBM400NT - Exc first batch 400 #20 with the typical worming and handling marks you'll find on any oil finished guitar, all shown in the pics. Very minor fretwear but plenty of pimpling on the bass side of the trem and the treble side of the mounting ring with a small palm oil spot over the ring. There was no guard on it when I bought it so I put a new factory guard on it. In  a pseudo flight case.** $1675** GONE** THANKS JEREMY** 2/26/07

RBM400NT - Definitely the cleanest 400 I've seen and very close to brand new. Only a couple super light worm trails and a touch of corrosion on the pickup bezel from perfect. Plastic still on all covers. In M150 case.** $2400** GONE** THANKS JOSIAH** 2/28/07

RBM400NT - Exc +++ bordering on near mint. This is another first batch 400 and is # 28. There are very few worm trails, a 1" long one on the arm contour and a small 2mm bruise at the tip of the lower rear horn are all the face blems. There's some minor worming on the back upper horn belly contour, some near the bottom back lower edge, and a group on the bottom side where it would sit on your leg. The headstock and neck are super clean. The pickups have been upgraded to EMG's and it's my guess it was a distributor upgrade [this was back when you could still order custom options like that through HUSA]. There is gold wear to the bass side trem baseplate and the tops of the lower 3 saddles, as well as the mounting ring, and the pickguard is not as mirror as normal but very even. Very little fretwear. RBM400 - 93' 400 in super clean condition, outside of some gold finish wear to the saddles, bezel, and volume knob I could call it near dead mint. All the wood is cherry with no marks or staining. RBM3 - Excellent + and exceedingly rare and only available in Japan RBM3 with the Winger album cover graphic face. One 4x5mm chip on the side/bottom/back edge, a 1/2" finish crack on the bottom flat of the lower horn, and a very short finish crack at the tip of the horn. 2 short scratches at the back edge of the upper rear wing. RBM1CA - 91' in players condition. 1 medium and one small face dink, more on the bottom edge and under the trem,  remnants of adhesive in the shape of a small cross on the back, missing trem cover, neck joint finish cracks. In gig bag.** $475** GONE** THANKS LEE** 4/15/04
