JSBDG - Brand New, no issues, super nice. Tons of bold red highlights on the darkest of rosewood. The picky notes I made during initial inspection when received "Very red orange streaked rosewood, very sweet, but does have some typical testing scratches in the sharpie squiggles on the neck pickup and mounting ring. Slight orange peel to headstock clear. No other issues." Comes complete as it should including the shipping boxes, just moving them into the used page for better visibility so I can make some room. It is new so it does include factory warranty. MY LAST BLACKDOGS!!** $5750 AS IS** or $6000 Pro Prepped** GONE** THANKS FRED**

JSBDG - Brand New, no issues, super nice. Board with full coverage orange highlights, very light birdeyes on the back of the neck. The picky notes I made during initial inspection when received " I can't tell if there are pick scratches on the ring doodle closest to the neck, as it is a little light, but I don't see any singular scratches. I'll say there are to be safe. Nice orange highlights in the board. No other issues." Comes complete as it should including the shipping boxes,, just moving them into the used page for better visibility so I can make some room. It is new so it does include factory warranty. JSBDG - Brand New, perfect in every way, except it has a small fingerprint off the top edge of the upper horn where the graphic guy had a little silver marker on his finger that's just visible in regular light. It is new so it does include factory warranty. The picky notes I made during initial inspection when received "Frets very oxidized; there is also a partial "fingerprint" of light silver on the top edge of the upper horn. Just visible in normal room light. There is also a lot of glue present on each side of most fret ends, usually just too much glue, or no cleaning after glue. Some light scratching on the mounting ring squiggles.  Double drawn neck pickup. Lighter areas of rosewood on the board."   Comes just as it would from Ibanez with all case candy and original shipping boxes.** $3750 AS IS** or $3950 Pro Prepped** GONE**THANKS JOE** 6/22/12

JSBDG - Dead Mint, this guitar is from Hoshino Second Stock and has been stamped on the back of the headstock with an S to denote it as such. The box tag states scratch on case, no cases available. I've had plenty of these flight cases with scratches like this at full price though. The kick on this guitar is, it's one of the first 2 I received in 2007, and was rejected and returned. Structurally the guitar is flawless, the reason I rejected it was some the drawing on the bottom edge of the front was wiped off and redrawn. Maybe it got smeared, who knows. At any rate, it was not completely wiped off, some of the original light squiggles are still visible, and the silver smeared from cleaning it off was never fully removed and left a light ghost cloud in the same area. If I didn't point it out you may never see it. Unfortunately they stamped it with the S on the back of the head but otherwise this guitar would be well over $1000 more. There is a light shortish scuff on the top panel of the case but, read above, and some wear to the paint on the end of the switch tip from the case [also common]. This would make the perfect player Blackdog. The package is complete and includes factory shipping boxes.** $3250 AS IS** OR $3550** Pro Prepped** GONE** THANKS GREG** 8/29/11

JS2PRM - Near Dead Mint Mizumo build that is about 20 fingernail scratches below the pickups from perfect. The case has several scuffs, ticks, and wear marks from some rough handling, but includes all case candy. This is a new guitar that had one test drive, but the case was not cared for in the warehouse.** $6250** GONE** THANKS AARON** 10/10/13

JS2PRM - Dead Mint, as perfect as you can buy. I compared it to the one I kept trying to decide which and I ended up just keeping the one I already had, but it was the closest of calls. This is the 2nd batch Mizumo production that you want. Whoever plated the first batch fucked them up and they have fogged areas under the clear. I wouldn't even inventory one much less buy one for a collection. These second batch are the only ones to buy for a collection but their limited numbers make them very expensive. No matter which batch, all had some light scratching somewhere [most had many] and this one has a light one between the trem rout and the side when angled in the right light, and a small insignificant patch where Joe turned it on a carpeted table when he signed it at a GC clinic signing [I've seen those tables, the carpet was there to protect finishes but backfires on PRM's].  This is as clean as you will buy a brand new JS2, much less now that they are several years old.. It's the complete package, all case candy, untouched case, in flawless factory shipping box. Prepped any way you wish, but I recommend leaving as a case queen.** $8000** GONE** THANKS VICK** 5/31/13

JS2PRM - DEAD MINT, as it left the factory, but with some long very light sets of scratches that run across the top and the back that can be seen in the right light angles. I count 5 on the front and 4 on the back. Definitely factory as one runs right under the neck pickup mounting ring and out the other side, and another under that strings between the pickups. These were all there when the guitar was assembled. This is a second batch Mizumo plated model, released in Japan where I bought it and imported it. In it's dead mint PRM case with all case candy, and in it's factory shipping box with a few stickers and shipping labels on the outside. Buy for under a bed, or to play. Sold AS IS.** $5750** GONE** THANKS JONATHAN** 9/29/10

JS20TH - Near Dead Mint, this guitar is from Hoshino Second Stock and has been stamped on the back of the headstock with an S to denote it as such. This is a very nice example with perfect 1/4 sawn neck and nice rosewood, the guitar is flawless with the exception of tarnishing to the upper and lower parts of the Silver Surfer. This is something I've seen on about a third of the 20th's I've handled, so it can be considered common. In addition there are what appear to be scratches under the chrome on the trem between the arm holder and the knife edge, which is very strange. The package is complete except it does not have the JS through time booklet [rats, I probably would have pinched it myself!], and there are no shipping boxes. The case has a couple long scuffs on the top panel.** $2675 AS IS** OR $2975 Pro Prepped** MUST GO - $2200 CASH! GONE** THANKS OLIVER** 6/14/13

JS2KPLT #33 - Dead Mint and untouched since I shipped it to a collector 6 years ago. Frets verging on brown from sitting in the case. Crisp HUSA case, cert, etc. Selling for a client. Fully sorted and setup, or just dolled up for display, your choice.** $4000** GONE** THANKS ANESTIS** 1/30.07

JS2KPLT #148 - Near Mint, only scattered light fingernail / pick scratching away from flawless. Nicely signed on the front by Joe. JS2KPLT #101 - Dead Mint untouched. There is an area about 1cm in diameter on the bottom edge of the lower horn where the surface isn't perfectly smooth, and another about 1/4 of the size about 2cm away. JS10TH Sample - Most dealers would hype this as a prototype, and it would be a gray area either way how to classify it, but I prefer the term show sample, as while it does have some differences I believe they are more due to the early date of assembly as opposed to any design changes. A difference like the thickness of the printing on the headstock just doesn't fit into design change which IMO would have to be present to be a true Prototype, with at least one notable difference in design. The differences of note - I wish I had another 10th here to direct compare but I sold #18 just a little too soon, and I can't get to mine. The differences I can be sure of are, the shelf of the trem cavity has been painted in shielding paint, and the floor of the trem cavity has been layered with a sheet of chrome mylar. The trem cover screw anchors look different also but it's probably because I'm used to looking at them under ground down chrome finish. The neck pocket floor is extremely clean which is very uncommon, and I believe is dated but just a little too obscure to be sure. The JS10th logo on the headstock overlay is also fairly thick instead of very thing like a regular 10th. Of course the big difference is there is no tribute to Joe or number plaque on the control cover. **Condition - After getting it cleaned it has some cloudy fingernail scratching below the pickups, more so under the bridge p/u, but it's very light with no pronounced patch. There is fingernail scratching on the back side of the volume knob, and what looks like a "brushed" area on the treble side of the trem rout just below the trem. There is a curled area of fine scratches on the upper horn, and on the inside of the upper horn.. On the arm contour there are 2 small short cut scratches about 3 and 2mm long that catch a fingernail. On the back there is an area of [probable] button scratches, maybe 12 or so short to 1/2" long, and one on the back of the upper horn, that is separate and not button. Overall the entire guitar looks superb in normal light condition, but examination under halogens reveals it is covered in extremely fine wiping type scratching that will be seen in those certain angles of light. It also has plenty of pimples scattered around on both side, and runs, drips, and built areas on the top edge of the belly cut, the bottom of the leg cut, and all around the neck pocket. Very reminiscent of the catalog model shots but I cannot be sure it's the same guitar, although it might very well be, show guitar were very often the one shot for the catalog. The headstock overlay has several string change scratches, but has had misguided maintenance and the foil has been bunched around all but one tuner ferule when somebody tightened the tuners [a huge no no on these!! Snug is about as good as you can ever get them, once you try to tighten them you distort the foil.]. No marring or blemishes to the wood, no fretwear as it has had very little play. The trem cover itself has cracks across 3 holes, the worst being the upper center where the crack curves around the hole and is visible on the inside of the cover. I would be very careful with this cover. The strap pins are not original. It comes in a JS10th case in Very Good condition with some scuffing and tolex ticks, there is no case candy, there is no paperwork, just bar and tools. **$5250 AS IS** or **$5600 Sorted and setup** GONE** THANKS JOSHUA** 3/23/11

JS10th #18 - Near Mint early first run Chrome with 97 serial number. These first run chromes look much more nickel than chrome and this one has a very clear finish. There is a fingernail patch under the strings but the rest is in superb condition, with just a few super light scratches on the upper back. It does have some mild pitting and a couple specs of dust, but no hairs, and none of the typical spider web wiping  and handling scratches. There are a couple of light string change scratches on the headstock overlay around the low E and A tuners, and a light brush on the edge of the end of the headstock. No fretwear, no issues with the skunk stripe, a really nice early example. In it's case with some handling marks, but still in quite excellent condition, with used strap and cord, also excellent.** $5225 AS IS** or $5500 fully prepped** REDUCED** CONSIGNOR WOULD LIKE TO MOVE THIS** $4750 AS IS** or $5025 fully prepped** GONE** THANKS JEAN** 1/28/11

JS10TH #435 - Exc +++, this is a 10th you can buy and play. It still looks fantastic, but it's not perfect so you can feel comfortable playing it without stripping lots of value. It does have a couple marks around the bottom back side, a few inches on either side of the jack, these would be considered dings on a chrome. Nothing missing, one a short 4mm line, the other a round 3mm, no missing chrome. It has several scuffs including a light one over the neck pickup, and some very light scuffing where it looks like the end of the bar came in contact with the body and moved, but then I put a bar in and they're out of range so I'm not sure it isn't just one of the wonders of factory flaws. There are 2 little tiny spots on the front where the black undercoat is showing, well under 1/2mm, one about 1/2mm on the trem cover, and one about 1mm on the back side of the upper cutaway.. Otherwise it has overall ultra light scratching from play or wiping clean. The neck is perfectly clean with no fretwear, but does have a small bottom side bruise on the headstock that just distorted the front edge, and the skunk string has a separation in the middle scale on one side about 7" long. These are fairly typical on JS's and just means that in that area you can barely feel the edge of the stripe. The strap locks are on it and it, and the strap have been used, but are still in excellent condition. These later number chromes from my experience are a little tougher and usually put up with playing better that other ranges.. In it's original silver case that has a few flaws including a longish black line on the back side, but looks very very clean. Fully Prepped.** $4250** GONE** THANKS MARTON** 3/1/10

JS10th #8 – Near Mint early first run low number Chromeboy that has been played but really shows no evidence of it in the chrome as there is no fingernail or pick scratching. There are scattered wiping / dusting scratches and a patch of light scratches on the control cover that just don’t have an explanation, but are there. The front does have some small scattered pimples but they are of the smaller variety. Because I know this was played several times any of the light scratching can be attributed to use but if you read the details on the #22 listing it’s also just as likely they were on the guitar when new. No glam pics taken, all were taken with flash or into glare to try and show the surface at it’s worst. In clean original case that has 3 longs scuffs and one small tolex tick, strap and cord were used.** $5750** GONE** THANKS JOHN** 5/4/07

JS10th #22 –Near Mint early first run Chromeboy that has about 15 fingernail scratches below the pickups and very few light scattered wiping scratches. It’s very hard to determine on these what was post factory/distributor and what was on them when shipped to the dealer as Chromes were new territory to all involved and how fragile the finish wasn’t known. #4 was delivered to the dealer in pathetically scratched condition. This was ordered and picked up from the dealer and claimed unplayed, supposedly never to leave its case and it is very possible that is the absolute truth. Chrome flaws are numerous pimples scattered on the front and an extremely pitted control cover. There is also a “water spot” flaw on the back near the lower strap pin. First run chromes are more nickel white than chromes blue and as a result are a little less mirror reflective than the later 2 runs, but of course these are the most desirable low numbers. No glam pics taken, all were taken with flash or into glare to try and show the surface at it’s worst. In crisp original case with unused strap and cord.** $5500** GONE** THANKS LOUIS** 6/11/07

JS10th - Great chrome on this one, no pick or fingernail scratches, any scratching present is ultra light wiping scratches and normal handling scratches found on them new from the factory. Probably due to the tougher chrome on this one [remember there were 3 different platers that did the run, each different] as I cannot scratch it with a hard finger rub. No hairs, some scattered tiny dust specs, really excellent chrome. I finally found the dink on the edge of the trem rout, and it does have one short scratch through below the tone knob. Unfortunately it's been separated from it's original chrome backplates [edition number unknown], strap, cord, and original silver case. It has black replacement plates on it and is in a clean UV1000 case.** $2300** GONE** THANKS KEVIN** 11/10/03

JS10th #492 - Dead Mint -, super clean chrome, very few and sparse light wiping scratches and one very small 2mm "dull spot" in the chrome at the volume knob. In unplayed condition. Perfect case and all unused case candy.** $3250** GONE** THANKS NICK** 9/25/03

JS90th - Exc -, the worst flaw is a large circle crack on the bottom edge below the switch. There are 2 top edge [while playing] finish crack, one 2mm and the other 5mm, everything else is on the back with about 5 short 2mm finish cracks scattered. There is chrome wear on the top and bottom edges of both pickups and the chrome is thin around the poles. There are more light pick scratches over the neck than below the pickups, and there's a tiny chip at the tip of the headstock, near zero fretwear. There is allot of chrome corrosion on the hardware that will take me a long time to clean up but I did test areas you can see in the pics and it does clean off. I've had this for a long time as it was covered with stickers when I bought it and had to remove them all to tell what the true condition was. With cert, in clean world case.** $1550** GONE** THANKS JEFF** 1/30/06

JS90th - Excellent +++, one small 5mm x 1mm wear spot on the bridge p/u chrome, a patch of scratches on the bottom side down from the output jack, probably from a stand burr, and just enough pick/fingernail scratching to know it's been played once or twice. Otherwise this is a crisp 90th, and looks like it. In original World 90 case, with Cert of course** $1800** GONE** THANKS KEVIN** 7/19/04

JS90th - Excellent +, chrome wear off the very top edge of both bobbin bridge pickup, and just a hair line off one of the bobbins bottom edge. Paint it extremely clean with no even light scratching anywhere. It's only real flaw is a well touched up neck pocket chip on the bottom side of the pocket where you can't see it. Cert, In M100.** $1600** GONE** THANKS  JAMIE** 7/12/04

JS90th - Fair condition would be generous, plenty of little dinks and cracks, 85% p/u chrome loss, little chip on edge of trem rout, hardware corrosion, but still looks "decent" from the front. Large 1cm x 2.5cm chunk of finish off back edge, large dink next to trem cavity [cover missing], but good neck and good player. Does have fretwear grooves starting in the first few frets. Has cert, go figure. Chrome Bobbin Toppers put on since pics, looks much better! Original case. $975** GONE** THANKS LIAM** 6/23/03

JS90th - Excellent +, no chrome wear, only a hint of pick scratching, but a 4mm finish crack on the upper horn and a 2x4mm dink on the front bottom edge. If it weren't for these it would be near dead mint! No cert, World case** $1625** GONE** THANKS HAL** 2/8/03

JS90th - A great one to buy as a player. 1 tiny 1.5mm dink, 3mm finish crack, a 4mm scratch bottom edge, with chrome wear off just the edges of the bridge pickup only. Back was flawless until it was shipped on top of the cert. People, people, people, don't ever ship a guitar with the body directly laying on the cert!!! This causes cert rash, which are very very light scratches, but lots of them. JS7 - Harpers built Custom JS style 7 string in Dead Mint condition. Blue finished Sweet quilted maple top over mahogany, 24 fret neck with full abalone vine inlay, Lo Pro7 trem and Duncan p/u's. Harpers necks tend to be very squarish, which is good because there's plenty of meat to be reshaped into any profile you like. WELL over $2000 invested when built. In new UV1000 case. $1450** GONE** THANKS BRIAN** 7/8/03

JS1's - before I'm asked *again* "What's a JS1?", a 1 is the original top line JS. It has the same specs as the JS2 (Chrome), JS3 (Donnie), JS4 (Rainbow), and JS5 (Rainforest) except for the finish. These are original Edge equipped just like Joes. When the cheap JS100 was introduced they changed the JS1 model # to JS1000 so that the best model didn't have a lower model # than the cheap Korean version.

JS1BK - Exc 1990 JS1. There are lots of little tiny marks around the guitar, the worst on the front being a pair of 4mm dings below the pickups, and on the back is a 4" long NJFC that runs all the way to the trem cavity but is very smooth and tight and showing no sign of separation. The skunk stripe on the back of the neck with slight separation in the mid scale [not uncommon on JS1's] with the back of the neck showing a couple bruises near the plate joint. Back of the headstock lower edge has some bruises but the front shows clean with a small 2mm ding/circle crack on the face toward the end of the point. Hardware is in nice shape with some fine pmpling on the bass side of the trem. Just a little fretwear but a non issue. As you can see from the pics it's cased, but it's seen far better days. Dual set of pics loaded from when I sold it before and just bought it back.** [WAS] AS IS $1000** On HOLD for Bryan** 3/20/09 ** Sold it, Bryan's engine blew the day he got it, I bought it back. JS1BK - 1990 in, Fair to Poor, you decide. It wasn't padded heavy enough for shipping and took a shot that broke up the top edge. There's a 3" long rip running across the top edge with a smaller smack mark on the back edge. I wouldn't doubt there's some cracked wood under this one. Not that it was a prize pig before it was shipped, but it sure looked alot better in the picture and description I bought it from!! Plenty of pics so you're in no way misled about the condition from overall dings to long finish cracks on the back, rough headstock, missing string tree, changed knobs, etc. The skunk stripe in the neck is unglued on the treble side which was a problem with JS1's [in fact I rejected a JS1200 last month with the same, it just didn't have 17 years on it]. The neck is stable and it's not a structural problem but it could use sealing with super glue and ten sanding flush to not feel it. Overall a piece of crap I'll loose around $300 on just to dump. Possibly good for a refin / custom pain project. Hardware is actually in very good condition [the white corrosion on the mounting rings usually comes of with some clearcoat polish and fingernail scraping] and there fretwear definitely isn't bad. In the same piss poor gig bag it shipped in with the lost black chips still inside. ** $525, AS IS of course** GONE** THANKS FILIPPO** 5/31/07

JS1BK - 1991 Black in Excellent. It's definitely got it's share of fingernail/pick scratching but even though the area is cloudy it's very light scratching. There is a short finish crack below the vol knob and a very small ding between the vol and the mounting ring, a shallow 5x3mm finish crack/dink at the top edge arm contour, and a small one on the back bottom edge. It has 1/2" neck joint finish cracks treble and bass sides and a ding and chip at the bass side edge on the neck pocket on the neck and the pocket. There are some minor marks on the back of the neck commensurate with it's age, none that can be more than barely felt. There are 3 flea bites out of the edge of the filthy headstock face, and enough fretwear to know it's been played but only a hair of dimples at the G and B 2nd fret. In horridly thin home market gig bag [I bought this out of Japan] with original warranty card and hang tags priced at 140,000 Yen [a LOT for 1991!]** $1175** GONE** THANKS SCOTT** 12/26/06

JS1BK - 1990 in Fair. My run of bum auction deals on JS's continues. The body was oversprayed with clear, probably just to brighten the shine but who knows. There's a wear thru patch below the pickups and another around the vol knob. Small ding on the face, there are deeper larger dings on the bottom and top sides, and what caused the whatever on the back is anybodies guess. Rough tip on the headstock, replaced nut, vol knob, looks like the trem is a used replacement because of the wear to the bridge mounting ring. If it hadn't had a very good level and the neck wasn't such a good neck, this would just be a basket case. But the neck is very good so it's an excellent player, especially for somebody gigging. AS IS of course. In another crap gig bag.** $725** GONE** THANKS RICK** 10/2/06

JS1BK - 90' Black in Excellent -. Flaws include a shallow 3mm ding on the front near the top in the contour and 2 other tiny dings, one in the pick scratch area [which is just a little hazy] that's 1mm and the other on the lower horn that's a bare 1mm depression. The worst is an inch long scratch on the upper top where your arm would cover when playing [it's polish up a little with a dremmel buff but could wet sand out easy] and a shallow 5mmm ding close to it.. Super clean neck, head, and hardware, absolutely minimal fretwear. Missing trem cover. In pretty clean EC3 case.** $900** GONE** THANKS KEVIN** 3/12/03

JS1BK - 91' in players condition. No chips but several dinks on the face, a finish crack from the volume knob, back has several long finish crack, neck joint finish cracks. Excellent neck with mild fretwear mostly under the G string. Some pimpling on the hardware, missing trem cover. In E3C case with large piece of tolex missing. $625** GONE** THANKS JOHN** 12/16/02

JS1BK - 91' with 1 long narrow dink on face and light overall scratchy surface (needs buff), Perfect neck!! No case.** $650** GONE** THANKS ROSS** 1/24/02

JS1BK - 91' in near Mint, 1 small 1/8" dink on face otherwise exceptionally clean! 2 very shallow dimples on back.** $800** More pics here ** GONE** THANKS RICK** 1/9/02

JS1BK HSH - Scarce 92' HSH model with the 5 way switching. Body is very clean except for a *large* chunk of missing finish in front of the lower strap pin about 1 1/4" long by 3/8" wide. Some light pick scratch and some light surface button scratching on back, not worming. Some very thin chips on the top edge of the head. In M100, all latches working but with some heat distortion on the bottom side.** $675** GONE** THANKS EDDIE** 5/24/02

JS1IR - 91' in Excellent -, Looks extremely clean from the front but between the bridge and bridge pup is a line of 5 small chips, only one 2x3mm showing wood. Caused by the regular FR trem arm the previous owner had on it allowing the trem more forward motion that it was designed for which let the saddle ships come into contact with the edge of the trem rout. There's only one dink on the body and it's on the back, about 4mm round. The headstock is normally scratchy for a 13 year old played guitar and the back of the neck has had the finish removed to get that slippery woody feel but has not discolored. Has a Carvin M22 in the bridge position but the original Fred will be reinstalled and a new Edge arm holder will replace the FR type in it now. In clean M100** $900** GONE** THANKS STEVE** 5/26/05

JS1IR - 91' Very rare Inferno Red, a few dinks but in excellent player condition. In non Ibanez case** $650** GONE** THANKS RICH** (no, not me!!:) 1/22/02

JS1WH - EXC+++, This guitar first year 1990 #523 looks very clean, although it does have some minor blems, on white everything is tough to see. There are 3 dings on the front that left circle cracks, a small 2mm near the strap pin, another above but between the pickups, and the worst is a 5mm nearly perfectly round about 2" above the trem. There are some light depressions and finish cracks from the allen wrench caused by sloppy string changes. There's some minor scratching on the bottom side, and a V shape finish crack/ding, the back is super clean with no neck joint cracks. There are some very small finish cracks to the edge and tip of the headstock, but it looks super clean with a perfect logo. The neck is a NEVER seen birdseye maple, and I mean never. This is the only one I've ever seen. It does have the skunk stripe delaminating from the treble side for about 10", but only 5" of it is sharp enough to really feel, the rest fairly tight but just enough edge it can be felt. The hardware is super clean with just some tiny pimples on the trem. It had no knobs when I got it so I had to put current speed knobs on it. No fretwear, this guitar has been played very little before it was put away years ago. In it's original Ibanez gig bag, and sold fully prepped.** $1675** GONE** THANKS PETER** 12/23/10

JS1WH 91' HSH - Exc. condition and looks clean until you look close. Face is clean but with a few scratches, including a weird one that runs between the neck pickup and neck. The bottom side has a large bruise that only left light finish cracks. There's a series of scratches on the back butt end, minor marks on the headstock edges, an E string impression on the back of the neck [weird, but barely felt], light fretwear and a small impression in the board, NJFC's on both sides, and pimpling to the trem and bridge bezel. Missing strap pins and trem cover, in OK gig bag.** $900** GONE** THANKS SCOTT** 12/11/06

JS1WH - 1991 refin in good condition. The refin is not bad but definitely not pro. Probably quick body shop. There is light wet sanding scratches left that needed a better polish, and a few signs there were blems under the paint, including a line depression on the inside edge of the lower bout and a couple long line finish cracks on the back, but overall it looks pretty good and the hardware is pretty clean with just some light pimples on the trem. The neck is showing the typical marks on the back you would expect from a 15 year old played guitar. None of the bruises are deep enough to be a bother, mostly light and shallow, some small spots of clear loss that have darkened. There is a little fretwear but also, no bad at all. Of course this was supposed to be a super clean guitar, just another bullet to bite, so dumping AS IS. In thin no protection gig bag.** $775** GONE** THANKS ANESTIS** 7/21/06

JS1WH 91' HSH - Very early [by serial number J 001380] HSH model in super clean condition. There  is a very tough to see 4mm finish crack on the lower front and an impossible to see 1cm finish crack on the back. Very light fingernail scratching in the picking area and some very light scratches on the lower back, definitely the cleanest HSH WH I've seen [it would also be the cleanest HH WH if it was]. In original Prestige Deluxe.** $1200** GONE** THANKS JIM** 3/18/05

JS1WH - Player condition, pitting dinks cracks etc. missing covers, in M100c broken center latch** $575** (This was my 'travel guitar' and I took it with me camping/trips etc., for obvious reasons, it's not as clean as the rest of my players, I'm just running out of room!!:)  SALE ** $525 ** GONE** THANKS GREG** 8/23

JS1 Nickel Plate - One of my ebay mistakes. Nearly finished but it needs new stud inserts and studs, and to be wired, otherwise it's done. These Nickelers [who advertise on ebay as Historical Arts and Guns Girls and Guitars] are pure butchers. They get a great nickel finish but at the price of sloppily routed neck pocket and trem rout, wavy surfaces from loose finish [the nickel and conduct coat is about 2mm thick so very stable, but the adhesion to body leaves a little to be desired] and the process can create some underlying original finish problems, this one pronounced with a ridge that runs right under the trem rout to the tail. Area the size of a pea of missing nickel, copper showing, right at the point of the lower side trem rout, direct from the platers like this. Pathetic when paying for a first rate plating. Very nice neck and head with moderate fretwear. Needs good buff [I gave it a quickie for pics] Blowing out at cost but will include the inserts and studs to finish. In absolute trash bass case for shipping. [I've seen one other JS plated and it wasn't nearly as bad [at midnight in the street after a JS concert] but had the same sloppy routes and that one had file gouges all around the cavities where they'd cleaned plate buildup]** $825** GONE** THANKS KEV** 5/19/03

JS6 -  Exc+++ that’s been restored to this condition. The body has very few signs but the neck is the giveaway the body was sanded and reoiled. I must say it is a very, very, good job.. The bridge and rings were replaced. The rings are not factory and actually a hair smaller so I’ll replace them with factory rings and it’ll be perfect. The bridge is a later Gotoh replacement, exactly the same except the screws and springs are chrome instead of black, and the front and back edges of the saddles are rounder. All original parts included and for whatever reason it was replaced the original bridge is in excellent non corroded condition and would look fine cleaned and replaced. There are about a zillion very small marks on the back of the neck, which is the dead giveaway the body has been restored. Things that don’t match the overall always tell the real story. Nearly all of them just fine lines like you’d make raking your fingernail across the wood, although there are several bigger bruises nearer the nut from being leaned against something, like a table. The electrics have also been nodded with the bridge pup changed to a Pearly Gates and the wiring changed so the high pass filter is always on and the p/p pot now splits the neck pickup to single, while the tone p/p splits the bridge to single coil, all original parts included. Has had a nice fret level and crown. In M100 case.** As Is - $1350 or changed back to original, factory rings, setup - $1500** GONE** THANKS MIKE** 4/7/0

JS6 - Exc+++, definitely one of the cleanest 6's I've had. There's a little fingernail wear and coloring under the bridge pup, a small patch of light scratches on the butt side, and a light scratch on the back, but for an oil finished guitar this is super clean. Perfect crisp headstock without even any string change scratches, clean hardware with no wear/corrosion, near to no fretwear. In grey forgotten model Ibanez case [my 91' catalog Donnie came in a case like this].** $1650** GONE** THANKS BRIAN** 3/30/06

JS6 - Excellent condition but it does have some dings and worm marks typically found on any oil finished guitar. The most notable are the 2 below the pickups, but there are several more on the side near the jack, and then some other minor worm trails and marks on the back and bottom side. Clean hardware, virtually no fretwear. In M100 that's been sprayed with black to "freshen" up the blackness, dumb.** $1325** GONE** THANKS MILOSH** 11/28/05

JS6 - Good condition, small hole drilled in the face for a GK2, Ibanez logo and swoosh scraped off "cleanly", nut changed to bone style, some light marring on the board that will steam out. Very clean body with pretty grain. In SKB, AS IS.** $675** GONE** THANKS RICH** 6/16/03

JS6000 - Exc +++. Like all oil finished mahogany every single bump leaves a mark, but this is an extremely clean looking guitar. The largest and only really noticeable bruise is on the top edge where it bumped something just hard enough to flatten the edge 5mm x 1cm. There are quite a few very small very shallow marks around the sides, none that can be seen from the front. There is light pick worming on the front above and below the pickups seen at certain angles, and light worming patch on the back but no sweat staining on the body anywhere. There is a small 2mm edge bruise on the lower edge of the headstock. Finish wear on one side of the volume and tone knobs [kinda odd] and strange finish loss to the treble side of the neck mounting ring that is not from wear or picking, just the very edge of the low E saddle showing wear on the bridge. Just enough fretwear to know it was played a few years. In clean original RG140C, original hang tags, original shipping box.** $1600** GONE** THANKS ELVIND** 9/24/07

JS1000TB - Not BTB, this is a TB which was the more attractive model with even staining. There are several finish cracks on the front of the body including a pair of line cracks on the arm contour about 5/8" long and a circular crack on the top edge. The bottom edge of the headstock has several bruises that has been attempted to cover up by running a coating of super glue [my guess] down the bottom edge which you can see in the right light but not sure the camera saw it. Neck joint finish cracks to both sides, very little fretwear, but the hardware showing corrosion and wear, especially the trem. No Strap pins, no case. Another loss leader.** AS IS $875** GONE** THANKS ERIC** 11/30/10

JS1000BTB - I think. When I bought this I thought it was a TB but I'm figuring it's a BTB with weaker scorching. Of course when I bought it I thought it was a whole lot cleaner. Condition - fair. I'll keep the description short and let the pictures show, because there's just too much to list. Front looks decent, besides the ample hardware corrosion. Typical pick scratch patch and some blems near the bottom front side. But the sides and back show more than I could count using my fingers and toes, and yours. Many many dings and finish cracks, mostly small but a few not, with lots of rivet rash on the back. The good points, good neck, barely any fretwear, and only one small edge chip to the head, and the body front doesn't look that bad. This will be sold as is, you don't want to pay the upcharge for me to work on this. In gig bag good enough to be a handle to carry the guitar by.** $725** [and that's a $200 loss] GONE** THANKS MIGUEL** 11/14/06

JS1000BTB - 02' in Dead Mint -, only the faintest 3/4" diameter area of the lightest fingernail scratches keep it from flawless. In flawless UV1000 case.** $1250** GONE** THANKS ROBERT** 11/30/04

JS1000BTB - Excellent +, basically in new condition but has an almost undetectable 1cm finish crack on the top edge I cannot get a pic of and a 5mm finish crack on the edge of the trem rout that is visible. Also has a small chip at the end of the truss rod cutout where an Allen wrench was forced between the strings too hard and bit a little chip when it hit. In clean UV1000 case, points of the horns punctured the fabric during shipping [all too common].** $1150**GONE** THANKS PAUL** 3/19/04

JS1000BTB - Dead Mint, as new, one small factory brush on the edge of the trem [Gotoh and perfect are rarely mixed in the same sentence] which was on it when new. In UV1000 with all tools and paperwork. $1200** GONE** THANKS RYAN** 1/23/04

JS1000BP - Near Mint, with very few issues. There is a 1cm finish crack on the bottom edge with shallow indentation, about 20 pick scratches on the neck pickup ring, there are scratches on the top of the low E saddle [odd], and the cosmo has worn off the tail strap pin. In it's clean original; M100 case. ** $1100 AS IS** or $1375 Platinum package** GONE** THANKS MORGIL** 2/11/13

JS1000BP - 2003 with Edge Pro, It's got a short finish crack on the top edge, a 5mm ding on the bottom front where it would sit on your leg, and several small finish cracks and marks around the bottom near the switch. There is one 6mm shallow ding on the back, another on the end of the lower horn, and some worm trails on the back of the neck. The back of the tip of the head took a hard smack but is only showing a small chip to the front of the head. It has some fretwear of a guitar with a few years of steady play. Changed strap pins, in generic Freedom case and only includes the bar.** $800 AS IS or $1050 Pro prepped with locking studs** GONE** THANKS DAMIAN**  9/20/13

JS1000BP - Brand New - Customer return (yea, happens about twice a year) but returned with a tiny finish crack on the back of the upper horn shown here. Otherwise still in untouched condition. JS1200CAL - LEFTY - Brand new with a new breed of contour blems that look like ripples on the edge of the cutaways. I'd return these, but I have 2 that both have the same problem so I see no reason I wouldn't get the same in return. I'd have to go choose replacements from the stack, and they don't seem to willing to let me do that right now. This one has the most ripples, most of them on the edge of the upper cutaway. JS1200CA - Very clean, Edge Pro model that has had the locking stud mod. This guitar has been played and has a little fretwear, but carefully and is still in wonderful condition, though not without a couple flaws. There's a 1/2" long line impression just above the tone knob, and a small 3mm light circle crack on the bottom front edge. JS1200CA - BRAND NEW with the too common light sanding scratches under the candy. This one has a small patch just over the neck, and as with all of these can only be seen in certain light at certain angels, if you're looking for them. Nearly perfectly quarter sawn neck and no contour issues. ** $1450 AS IS** GONE** THANKS MICHAEL** 12/20/09

JS1200CA - Near Dead Mint untouched and unplayed condition. One of 3 guitars I'm brokering for a client, purchased at GC for a collection [which I would have advised against] 3 months ago. There is a 3mm finish crack about 1" from the upper corner of the bridge pickup ring that was probably there when purchased and not rejected by GC. That is the only condition issue, although there are several contour blems on the lower front edge, and some more minor ones inside the upper and lower cutaways. He had not even noticed these of course, many people wouldn't. The neck produces very little relief, .2mm at the 9th fret is all it gets. This would be ideal for a very low action or very straight neck setup, but may not be enough for many of you. I generally use .3-.4mm relief depending on the action height. In TJC case, shipping box, etc.** AS IS at $1100** GONE** THANKS CARSTEN** 3/30/09

JS1200CA - Brand New with warranty, I had thought it had no issues but when I was raiding all my JS's for control covers to get Joe to sign and use on the 20's and BDG's I have coming, I noticed a fairly large contour blem on the back upper horn. I've been so concerned with the ones on the front, I missed this one on the back, and it's pretty hard to miss. I'm disappointed with myself. This was outsourced before I was authorized but part of my authorized deal covers warranty on all HUSA sourced inventory I already had in stock. I'd rather just move it and replace it, so, ** AS IS $1150** GONE** THANKS ENIS** 11/13/08

JS1200CA - Brand New, It's been tough getting 1200's with clean bout contours this year. I have no idea why and I've notified the right person, but they continue. This one is a little flat on the bottom half of the upper bout, hopefully you can see it in the pics, but it's not readily apparent in pics or in person, but I am picky, as I should be. Pro setup with stud mod.** $1425** GONE** THANKS GREG** 3/3/08

JS1200CA - Yup, another BRAND NEW 1200, this one's only fault is a small 8mm depression between the pickups. Very shallow and the light has to catch it just right to ever see it, but, I saw it, so it gets listed here. Trem cover is off because I literally had this guitar 1/2 way broken down to pre when I noticed it. You won't see it in the pics, you can barely see it anyway. JS2000 – Exc front, Good back. The only mark on the face is a small ding at the back corner of the bridge wing. The back has 2 series of light “buckle rash” finish cracks and shallow worming across the center of the back, and a group of deeper dings off the front corner of the control cover. There are a group of “line” depressions on the headstock face, and the nut is off in the pictures but not missing. There is a ½” bass side NJFC and the bridge pickup has been changed to a TZ. JS2000 - Dead Mint, this guitar came in with a fresh setup, fret level, and action set extremely low. It's definitely passable as is but the frets could use a better crowning and there is evidence of crowning file scratching. They are in decent polish but it could be better and could the end finishing. If you want the crown, end finishing, and polish redone add $100, otherwise I'll tweak the setup and send it as is. In crisp UV1000 case.** $1200** GONE** THANKS MARTON** 11/27/06

JS2410MCO - Mint minus - super light fingernail swirling below the pickups, changed switch tip [$3 , I'll throw it in if you want the original]. No ding, cracks, bumps, nothing. It does have a series of alder sinkage lines on the back only, thru the trem cover area, on the plate side, thru  to the strap pin side. Maybe 10 fine sunken lines you can only see if you're looking for them, as I was. I have had these on new guitars but it had about 20 deeper ones on the front, and back I cannot get pictures of these, I tried long time. Includes Ultralight and regular bar, is missing the Multi Tool. In the right case and it's original shipping box. Clean and ready to play. **AS IS $1650, or Silver Packaged at $1850** GONE** THANKS TOM** 5/17/14
