PIA - THE piezo JEM and the only one I'm aware Steve has had built. If you watched the Grammy Awards in 2002 you saw Steve play this guitar in a duet with Nelly Furtado, as did 40 million others. If you were lucky enough to see it you heard how magical it sounded in the masters hands. These two pictures from vai.com is the only one I've been able to track down but the video is still up on Nelly's site [enter site>media [upper right]], small but worth the watch [thanks to Ilia for the direction to video and pics!!]. The guitar is still pictured in the Gallery on vai.com. For a Vai owned guitar this would be considered Mint, it's only flaws are a very small chip at the tip of the lower horn and typical guard scratching from playing. PIA specs include a custom VWH neck with rosewood board built in 2000' and has beautiful inlays unlike the 96' run of necks he had built, all chrome hardware, the Double Edge bridge with associated controls, this is a very classy looking VWH and I do like them finished in chrome! PIA written on the face in the usual spot and signed on the back "Peace..... Steve Vai.... 3/02". Steve had the trem blocked for the Grammy performance in case he broke a string live in front of 40 million viewers and the blocks accompany the guitar but it will not be shipped blocked unless requested. In perfect UV1000 case.** $6250** GONE** THANKS JAY** 2/1/05

RED LACE - One of Steve's personal custom shop guitars built to spec and auctioned for charity earlier this year on ebay bringing just under $10k. It was reported in numerous magazines. It remains in the Gallery on vai.com with it's history here. Specs are 15mm [Fifteen!] flame maple top over mahogany LACS body with a trans red finish and EVO's [body dates 88'-92' by the original studs, set in teflon tape and locking studs never locked LOL] The original neck was replaced after an accident with one of Steve's custom made rosewood board VWH necks, Wizard profile [17mm-19mm] and has had the factory clear removed and swabbed with [probably Tung] oil.. This guitar has *awesome* tone! It also has all the wear and tear you would expect to find on a tour guitar, no chips, but plenty of little dinks and some deep scratching on the face. Plenty of pics here. Scan of the Guitar Player blurb here. In the new M100 case as shipped by Steve, Earnie Ball, and Favored Nations** $7500** GONE** THANKS KOKO** 5/10/07

JEM Flame - Exceedingly rare original Performance Flame JEM with a total production of 19, 3 of those going to Steve. One of those is hanging in the Hard Rock in Las Vegas [or Hawaii, I forget!], one in the Hollywood GC with the Prototype DNA, and the other Steve has at the Harmony Hut. The condition is Excellent. It does have some very small fog spots on the front bottom edge, a good size ding on the end of the top side, a line ding on the front edge of the first upper flame, and what appears to be a "factory" touch up of the end of the second upper flame. Considering the body shape of these this is pretty damn good. There is a lot of fogging around the perimeter of the headstock and some narrow losses on the top edge. The clearcoat on the back of the neck has an unexplainable change from the 2nd to around the 10th fret where it goes from a very smooth satin to a not as smooth gloss. I can't explain it and the separation line is distinct and jagged, shown is a couple of the close ups. There is some spots of clear loss to the treble edge of the fretboard, a spot of clear loss between the 5th and 6th fret, one next to the 7th fret inlay, and 2 edge dings on the treble side. OFR with some light wear to the tops of a couple saddles, original Performance pickup, in it's original case.** UPDATE** After a lot of digging it was concluded that this was a Despagni, but it is not. It is a Performance Flame. Despagni clarified that he only built the single Flame for Steve and never made another. The confusion was over the block JEM logo on the headstock and the close up shown on Jemsite is a handwritten script logo, but, the block logo is also correct and the owner has another original Flame purchased direct from Performance that has the block JEM logo. This should conclude all debate.** $3500** GONE** THANKS MIKE** 10/17/11

VAI2KDNA #44 - Near Dead Mint with a sweet swirl. There is no playwear whatsoever, or any signs it was played. Not a single fingernail scratch on the pickguard or pick mark on the tops of the pickups. It does have a short 4mm NJFC on the bass side that was probably there when purchased new, and a hair of a string change scratch on the headstock for when the corroded strings were changed. They need to be changed again. If the pics you'll see the filth under the guard, and the remnants of film left on the headstock from a half assed wipe down, both of these the way every DNA sold in the US was, and completely correct. It was signed in silver Sharpie in an attractive place on the face, 3which can be wiped off if anybody desires. When it was signed it was put back into a gig bag too fast and got frags from being lightly smeared. The owner used something that was not very soft to clean them up which left some small dull areas like they'd been hit with 3000 wet or dry paper. They're very close top the signature line and masking the line it could probably be polished again, but personally I'd just leave it or polish the signature right off. This was a Florida guitar and evidently salt air and case evaporatives are just not kind on PC hardware. From the before pics you can see the fine corrosion on the tops of the saddle and the strap pins, basically where the PC came in contact with the case lining, or sat very close. The underside of the strap pins were perfect. These all cleaned up perfect as you can see in the post pics, but this also removed the normal oxidation and patina that PC gets from sitting 10 years. What would normally be darker in color is fresh and like brand new PC. The horn pin cleaned perfect as did the screw, but the butt pin that was really bad had tiny evidence of the corrosion, and the screw head could not be cleaned, so I put a new set of pins on and put the originals in the case. In it's correct HUSA DNA case with just a couple marks from storage, all case candy as new, including cert of course. Sold any way you want it, AS IS, cleaned and simple setup, pro setup, or any combination.** $8750** GONE** THANKS JEAN** 7/12/10

VAI2KDNA #46 – Near Mint with maybe 20 light fingernail scratches on the guard and some light wiping scratches on the body that are typical of a new untouched DNA so impossible to say if they’re post or pre distribution. Otherwise it’s super clean but does have a 2mm neck joint finish crack on the bass side. In crisp HUSA case with all paperwork and cert of course.** $6550** GONE** THANKS BRIAN** 9/24/07

A good friend and fellow serious collector is pruning his collection a bit and brought down 10 DNA's and a JEM10 for me to find new homes. He has a great eye and with minor exception collected great swirls in top condition. All are either Dead Mint or near to it, and all are in US cases, either HUSA or Chesbro. Chesbro cases have the plaque on the right side of the lock, HUSA has it on the left. He got good terms for the brokerage so the price will only include a basic setup. If you desire a pro setup [fret level, fret end radiusing, micro radiusing the bridge, nut grind, etc.] you'll have to add $200. All have very good neck profiles so all would make excellent players if desired. The best color representation will be the Olympus pics [P prefix] shot with flash, you'll know when you see them. All but one have a taped number tag stuck to the plaques and the adhesive has dried quite a bit. The good news is all still have the plastic on the plaques. I did scrape the leftover adhesive from one and it came off fairly well, but you can definitely tell it was removed from telltale signs left on the plastic film covering the plaque.

VAI2KDNA #294 - Near Mint, it has 2 light scratches on the back of the neck, about 30 fingernail scratches on the guard, a [fairly common] partial fog spot on the edge of the jack cavity, and a tiny fog spot on the edge of the angle jack hole. Some tiny spotting on the trem baseplate bass side, missing cert. In world flight case.** $6000** GONE** THANKS BERTUS** 1/13/06

VAI2KDNA #234 - Killer swirl with great combination of color and the first pick in my original Millennium Pickoff. It's still dead mint except for a possible 2 fingernail scratches on the guard, although near every DNA had a couple light scratches on the guard somewhere because they were never covered in plastic. Original DNA Gallery pics here and here. This was a US guitar but Chris requested it in the Flight Case and that is what's it's in, super clean but has a couple scuffs on the bottom side. I've always thought this one was killer so it's tough to sell, and considering I paid a fortune to get it back, it'll be expensive, but worth it..** $6500** GONE** THANKS PALI** 9/11/06

VAI2KDNA #22 - Dead Mint - with about 15 fingernail scratches on the guard. There are 3 tiny 1.5mm circle crack/fog spots on the edge of the jock cover, and another longer half circle finish crack with fog spots on the same edge/point of the control cover. Tough to explain these but they are there. Arguably the best face swirl of the lot with a nice dark board.** $5250** GONE** THANKS STEEN** 12/7/05

VAI2KDNA #29 - Dead Mint, no excuses, sweet pattern with bright vibrant popping color palette. In crisp case with crisp original numbered shipping box.** $5000** GONE** THANKS ERIC** 11/28/05

VAI2KDNA #56 - Dead Mint -, sweet pattern with a great color palette of dark and bright mix, with a nice sweet dark pao ferra fretboard. There are maybe 20 fingernail scratches on the guard keeping it from flawless. In crisp case.** $5000** GONE** THANKS STEPHAN** 9/23/05

VAI2KDNA #73 - Dead Mint, no excuses.** $4350** GONE** THANKS RUSLAN** 12/7/05

VAI2KDNA #95 - Dead Mint - with only about 5 fingernail scratches on the guard, a tiny tolex tick and another small bruise on the case. Nice super dark board.** $4250** GONE** THANKS ELIOT** 1/11/06

VAI2KDNA #103 - Dead Mint no excuses with a nice dark fretboard.** $4500** GONE** THANKS ELIOT** 1/11/06

VAI2KDNA #174 - Dead Mint - with the most fingernail/pick scratches of any in this group, but the only flaws on the guitar. Looks like all from a single player on an extended test drive. It does have a 3/8" NJFC on the bass side. This was an import and has had it's world case swapped for a HUSA US case.** $4100** GONE** THANKS EVILIO** 11/22/05

VAI2KDNA #210 - Near Dead Mint, it does have fingernail scratching on the guard from an in-store test drive, otherwise dead mint. This is a sister to #216 but with a much nicer patter [IMO]. In crisp case.** $4500** GONE** THANKS GEORGE** 1/25/06

VAI2KDNA #216 - Dead Mint - with only about 4 short fingernail scratches on the guard. Nice dark fretboard, in crisp case.** $3900** GONE** THANKS ELIOT** 1/25/06

VAI2KDNA #230 - Dead Mint untouched with a great swirl in my favorite dark moody color palette. Super dark board with red highlights, in crisp case.** $4950** GONE** THANKS LLOYD** 3/21/06

VAI2KDNA # 268 - Near Dead Mint with only the lightest signs of play or handling. Sweet swirl in my favorite palate. Very small 2mm back edge chip professionally repaired. In world flight case and original shipping box.** $4800** GONE** THANKS GAVIN** 11/16/05

VAI2KDNA #91 - Sweet dark palate swirl restored to Near dead mint with a new pickguard and 3 saddles. Only the slightest signs of handling. In clean HUSA Y2K case. High res pics here** $4600** GONE** THANKS MANNY** 7/7/05

VAI2KDNA #272 - Near Dead Mint sweet dark pallette swirl. "Near because I remember touching the back edge of the body to the case rail when I was putting it away after unpacking it. I polished it with a Dremel right after I did it and when I looked to take a close up just now, I can't find any trace, although, I know there was, a trace. Otherwise, untouched, still wearing factory steel. In clean Flight case. High res pics here** $4500** GONE** THANKS THIEN** 4/28/05

VAI2KDNA #205 - DEAD MINT, beautiful consistent swirl in very UVMCish colors. In crisp US case, an absolutely untouched complete package. High res pics here.** $4300** GONE** THANKS FERNANDO** 7/19/04

VAI2KDNA #152 - Dead Mint, beautiful swirl. This DNA has a clearcoat anomaly on the top which looks like a series of 3 fisheyes [term used by painters which refers to a circular area where the clear or paint is thin] in a row, I had this guitar when new and this was there right out of the box, shown here. Under extremely close observation you can see a 1/2" diameter circle around it where the factory sanded it out a bit. This could be filled with CA but I'd leave it alone. In perfect US case including all candy [cert, card, tools, etc.]. High res pics here.** $3950** GONE** THANKS FERNANDO** 7/19/04

VAI2KDNA # 92 - Dead Mint minus, not a pick or fingernail scratch but 4 small scratch/scuff lines on the guard, no worse than 4 short pick scratches. Nice palate, same draw as # 89 [see the DNA Gallery for 3rd pick]. Very nice smoke swirling. Near mint US case with one tiny tolex tick. High res pics here. ** $3900** GONE** THANKS BLAKE** 10/29/03

VAI2KDNA  # 117 - Sweet swirl, I love these colors!! Minimal signs of play, some very light pick scratching on the guard, but the edge below the switch has 5 small edge cracks from a brush against something, VERY tough to see. In clean flight case. High res pics here. Close up of edge here** $3750** GONE** THANKS FERNANDO** 7/19/04

VAI2KDNA  # 161 - Another KILLER swirl in my favorite dark color palette. Lightest signs of play, some very light pick scratching on the guard, there is a slightly cloudy spot on the arm contour, that can only be seen at the right angles, odd. In clean flight case.  High res pics here.** $4500** GONE** THANKS DAVID** 11/26/03

VAI2KDNA #30 - Dead Mint, no excuses. US cased. High res pics here** $3550** GONE** THANKS MARTIN** 10/8/03

VAI2KDNA  #65 - Swirl in a nice deep red palette. High res pics here.** $4000** SALE**$3700** GONE** THANKS LARRY** 1/19/03

VAI2KDNA  # 16 - Chaotic Chromavision # 016 with the given name Fantasia. The colors on this one just make me cream, the dark purple blood is definitely my favorite color on a DNA, and that rich green and rich pink finish it. Very nice mature color palette. Barely touched condition with the drawback of a tiny flec off the back edge, and I mean tiny, see it here. I'll be touching this up. US cased. High res pics here.** $4200** SALE**$3900** GONE** THANKS HENDRIK** 1/10/03

ALL DNA sales (over 50 of them) are recorded in the DNA Gallery. There are very few shown here as I used the separate DNA stock page and just recently started posting them on the Used page. Unfortunately I never kept the past sales 'details' on my DNA stock page.

JEM77PMC - Sweet zipper swirl in EXC ++condition. There are quite a few fog spots, some with associated finish crack but some without. The top has 12, the largest being on the bottom edge and is about 5/8" x 3/8" and the second largest on the top edge about 1/2" x 1/4", with several ranging from 5mm to smaller in the field. The back bottom edge has a sliver chip with a fog spot about 5/8" x 3/8" with just a few small ones in the field. Typical pickguard scratching, the hardware in very clean with wear to the tops of the lower saddles only. There is no wear thru on the fretboard but there is a bit of fingernail worming between the frets, that show just a bit of fretwear. There a small bruise on the top edge of the headstock and a small rub on the bottom edge near the tip, and a short NJFC on the trebble side, about 1/4". In very clean original UV1000 but with a large tear on the back bottom end. Detail pics here. ** $5000** GONE** THANKS ZACHARY** 5/8/07

Small % broker deal so as is, but it was fully sorted when previously sold 4 years ago and has not been played since, and after looking it over the setup hasn't changed a hair, go figure. Add $100 for setup if desired.** $4200** GONE** THANKS ANTON** 8/30/06

JEM77PMC-RAT - This has got to be my biggest mistake in years [although I can think of a few that come close]. I've hesitated to list this because it's been an enigma that I couldn't figure out, but I finally spent even more time on it and can now confidently say, it is a true PMC, it's just been so screwed with and in such poor condition it was tougher to figure out. First, it's had the clearcoat sanded down to the swirl and then some painted touch ups done to the damaged areas, then recleared with a rather thin coat of what looks like automotive clear. The neck plate is PMC range, the neck is PMC, but the neck pocket, though bearing traces of swirl, has been "cleaned", evidently to clean out the clear overspray [instead of just protecting the pocket to begin with]. I fully believe it was a factory body but wasn't sure if it was factory PMC until I took an Exacto knife and took off 2 small areas of the original thick factory clear leaft in the claw to reveal, it is the original swirl underneath. That said, on to the pathetic condition. The body has more blems around the edge than clean areas, inpainted touch ups, but is the original ATD swirl. There is a crack in the body back that appears to be very stable, it runs from the tail edge to the trem cavity so it's in an area of the body that doesn't affect anything and will not grow longer because it ends in the trem rout. It runs about 3/4" deep on a beveled angle as you can see in the pics. It does not run through to the top and doubtful it ever will. On to the neck which has had the headstock oversprayed in black, had a break behind the nut that was luthier repaired by glue and dowel pinning and is a permanent repair. The fretboard is covered with freckles of browning, what it is, you guess, and there is fairly minimal fretwear. The good points [and thankfully there are a few] is there is the previous owner attempted to restore the attempted restore and added a new guard and all new hardware. He bought an Edge instead of a Lo Pro only because he didn't know better. I guess the other good news would be it does have a very good neck profile and there is no reason why this wouldn't make an excellent beater [or better yet, maybe a Lasher!]. It's n some older Kraemer case. AS IS and below cost.** $1000** GONE** THANKS MATT** 3/13/06

JEM77PMC - SWEET swirl, ex Ciancuilli, used to be the first PMC is the Jemsite Gallery but has since been reorganized to page 2. 10 small/med./large fog spots/dinks on the face, 7 very small ones on the back, and a large fog spot about 3" below the jack. Small dot pimpling on the trem, corroded plate. No wear through and very clean fretboard and headstock, back of neck a little dirty. Detail pics here. In very clean original pink lined** $2750** GONE** THANKS GURJ** 8/23/04

JEM77PMC - SWEET swirl in superb condition. Crisp body, crisp board except for a small area at the 5th where it was (something'd, looks like steel wool marks again), no stain. Crisp hardware including near perfect plate, the light cosmo just worn off the front 3 neck screws and the very tops of the saddles. Some pick scratching on the guard and the tinniest 1mm dink and 2mm fog spot on the edge of the grip. A 2mm fog spot by the trem rout, a 3mm fog spot on the edge of the arm contour, and larger fog spots at the edge of the jack cut. A 1 5/8" scuff scratches in the surface of the clear on the back top edge. Plenty of pics here. Bridge pickup had been changed and is now back to original spec. Signed by Stevie in silver paint pen on the face. In clean/few scuffs pink lined.** $3000** GONE** THANKS MIKE** 4/4/03

JEM77PMC - SWEET swirl in superb condition. Crisp body, crisp fingerboard except for 5 thin clear scratches just turning light grey, sweet playing bow. Speckle corrosion on the first quarter of the plate (not worn, plate left dirty when put away causes speckle corrosion), pick scratching on the guard, and 1 tiny tick at the top edge of the head that would disappear with a dab of clear. No glamour couch shots yet as I haven't even cleaned it, getting way behind again. In clean pink lined case, combo lost, functioning but tongue has been removed till somebody spins the wheels 1000 times and retrieves the combo ;)** $3000** GONE** THANKS JASON** 4/16/02

JEM77PMC - SWEET swirl, ex Dave Weiner. 2 edge chips on the front as well as 3 small dinks (no penetration but star cracks) and a total of 23 fog spots on entire body. Board slightly dirty. On consignment and owner would like to move fast. In original clean pink lined case. MANY condition pics here** $2350** GONE** THANKS MICHAEL** 12/19/01

JEM77PMC - Sweet swirl, nicely flamed maple board! No chips, losses, or fading, but 4 larger fog spots on the bottom edge, and some tiny fog spots scattered, doink on top edge of head shown here. In pink lined case. $2500** GONE** THANKS DAVE** 7/29

JEM77PMC - NOS display model, faded pinks on front and chip off lower back edge, otherwise NEW, plastic still on the guard, paper on rear panels. More pics here.**  $2500**GONE** THANKS MICHAEL** 12/1

JEM77PMC - VERY cool swirl!! Excellent condition but with many fog spots, better pics coming. Clean pink lined case.  $2600** GONE** THANKS FRED** 4/25

JEM77GMC - Good condition. This hasn't had alot of play time but has suffered it's share of faults along the way. Staring on the face the are 2 large edge chips, one below the tone knob that has an 1" long scratch beside it, and one on the upper horn. Both have been spray sealed with clear. I was going to do touch ups on these but just haven't had the time to get to it. Other than those 2 chips there's only a tiny ding over the bridge pickup to mention. Around the side, there a patch of scratching on the edge of the upper horn where it brushed against something, a small chip on the edge of the jack, and a 4mm chip on the bottom back edge where it would sit on your leg. On the back there's a 8mm chip near the jack cover, a couple smaller edge bruises at the control cover the took a sliver of paint from the edge, and 2 dings in the middle of the back right of the trem cover [missing]. There are alot of very light marks in the back side of the neck but nothing than can be felt.  There are several marks to the wood on the bottom edge of the head, and several edge bruises included 2 tiny chips at the tip and a larger one near the drop point of the logo. There really isn't much fretwear at all, but there's plenty of small pimpling on the bass side of the trem with a little cosmo wear to the lower saddles. Long neck joint crack on the bass side and a short one on the treble. Bought out of Japan and it's in it's crappiest quality original gig bag, probably partly responsible for the condition.** AS IS at $3275** or fully sorted and cleaned at $3600** Add $125 to touch up the chips** Option to swap to the clean neck from the guitar listed below add $300** GONE** THANKS EDUARDO** 12/6/13

JEM77GMC - Exc condition, although not far better than the one above, the major chips are in much less noticeable places. The front is very clean except for the sliver of the largest chip that is on the bottom side that you can see from the front, otherwise it's very clean. Around the sides there is a chip on the back edge of the tip of the upper and lower horns, the larger on the upper with several finish cracks radiating onto the back side. The aforementioned chip on the bottom edge, and a loose circular spot where it would sit on your leg that needs to be glued back down, the swirl stayed on the clear so it would be invisible glued down. There is a chip on the back on the edge of the trem caving, otherwise it's perfect. The neck is super clean with only a few super light impressions but it does have an Ibanez wrench holder on the back of the head that I put on because there were the holes from a previous holder, but one of the screws had broken off so there is only one screw in this holder. The headstock face looks new, the is no fretwear, and hardware is super clean with on a little cosmo wear on the trem and tiny pimples on the baseplate. Neck joint crack on the bass side only, but the pickguard has a crack at the thinnest spot above the neck pickup with some old dried glue from a failed repair. This guitar has not had much play at all. Bought out of Japan it's in it's original decent quality Ibanez gig bag.** $3400 AS IS** or fully sorted and cleaned at $3750** GONE** THANKS EDUARDO** 12/6/13

JEM77GMC - Exc + last batch with an extremely good swirl rarely seen on GMC's. This is a last batch as it has the solid green knobs instead of white base used on the last group assembled. I have a NOS GMC in my collection that is also last batch. This guitar was played and is not perfect. The only missing finish is a 6 x 8mm chip out of the bottom side which is all black with a thin green stripe that would be an easy restore. Otherwise it has it's share of small finish cracks and fog spots. On the face edge there is an 8mm fog spot over the grip and 2 small half moon spots where the contour starts, 2 small fog spots near the strap pin, 2 finish cracks near the tone knob, 2 fog spots under the switch on the bottom side, and a small fog on the horn. A 2mm finish crack/fog below the trem. There are several small 2mm finish crack/fogs on the back but a larger crossed T finish crack and fog on the belly contour edge with several more crack/fogs in a line beside it. There is a scrape on the curved top side of the front edge on the head with a couple small marks in the wood at the tip and back bottom edge, and a 3/4" NJFC on the bass side of the pocket. All hardware is in superb condition including the plate and there is absolutely no fretwear. Collector or player this is one sweet GMC. Good swirl prices are way up, and this one is no different being in the top percentile of pattern/color combinations. Gallery pics here. In very clean UV1000C.** $5200**  GONE** THANKS RUSLAN** 6/27/07

JEM77GMC - This was a great swirl when I sold it 3 years ago, but after 3 years in moron hands I'd have to grade it Fair. Repurchased on ebay from Anthony Barone of Long Island, NY, aka tonysta2s, obviously his Ridlyn prescription ran out and he neglected to refill it. Subjected to 3 years of atmosphere not meant for habitation, near 90% of all the cosmo finish has just vanished from the hardware. Whatever it was [and my personal guess is oil refinery combined with sea air and crack pipe] coated the whole guitar in a brown residue, which moron decided to sand and steel wool from the guitar. Back of the neck was sanded while on the guitar so there are scratches around the neck pocket, light mold now growing in the surface of the maple [possible Clorox would kill], residue "cleaned" from the face of the headstock, tops of the pickups, and pickguard with steel wool [I did say MORON owned right?]. There are no dings or chips in the guitar anywhere so it would be a good restoration candidate, but it's up for grabs *AS IS*. I don't have the time to spend on this travesty. Gallery pics the night before it was shipped, in better times. Uncased [just as it was sold]** $2250** GONE** THANKS KEN** 3/9/06

JEM77GMC - This is a sweet swirl for a GMC, which are few and far between. Condition issues include 3 chips on the back bottom edge from under to a little over 1cm, and a chip on the lower front edge about 7mm in diameter. There also a couple finish cracks on the top on the grip side, one about 1cm long, the other about 3mm. There's a patch of buckle scratching on the back where you would expect it that has completely dulled the clearcoat. Typical cosmo wear on the neck plate, and cosmo wear to the tops and points of the trem saddles. There's also a small 2mm chip to the top edge of the headstock, truss cover missing, and a short 2mm neck joint finish crack on the treble side, beside an abnormal clearcoat glob. Fretwear is pretty light for a 14 year old played guitar. Dirty Dimarzio strap lock ends on the guitar will be switched to new strap pins. In it's original pink lined UV1000 with lost combination or bungled lock. Latch is in case pocket.** $2750** GONE** THANKS JOHN** 3/16/06

JEM77GMC - Players condition GMC that I'd have to grade as Fair. Most of the chips are along the top edge and range from a few mm to about 1/2". Some have been touched up w/ black, most not. I count 7 on the top side/edge, 1 on the bottom side/edge, large fog spot on the lower front edge, 2 chips on the back bottom edge, and 1 next to the trem cover. Small edge chips on the headstock, pimpling to the base side of the trem and finish loss to the E A and D saddles. Minimal fretwear but a deeper groove on the 2nd fret G string, 1/4" NJFC on the treble side. In clean new UV1000.** $1875** GONE** THANKS MATT** 8/1/05

JEM77GMC - KILLER, it's 3rd trip to my house, and it gets better and more expensive each time ;) Signs of a guitar that's definitely been played, guard scratching but not cloudy, wear off the bass side of the trem, and plate corrosion. There are 2 finish crack on the bottom flat, and tiny end of head bruises, but this swirl just makes them all disappear. Killer. Detail pics here. In super clean original pink lined** $2900** GONE** THANKS MIKE** 4/4/03

JEM77GMC - 12 chips/cracks around the front and back bottom edge (was previously owned by a country steel player), rest including neck is flawless. Plenty of pick scratches on the guard and wear/pimpling on trem. In non original case. $1400** GONE** THANKS SCOTT** 6/11

JEM77GMC - KILLER swirl in Excellent condition. 1 small chip on edge of neck pocket and a slight bulge to about 1" of the scarf joint, (not cracked or repaired, but you can just barely feel a ridge, I'm clueless) typical guard scratching and plate corrosion of a played but well taken care of guitar shown here. $2500** GONE** THANKS TONY** 4/13

JEM77GMC - KILLER SWIRL!! One of the best GMC's you'll ever see! In Excellent condition, but has been played allot, clean pink lined case. Pics of it's flaws/wear here** $2500**GONE** THANKS CHRIS** 2/1

JEM10th #780 - Mint minus with only the lightest and sparsest of dusting scratches [and most all around the arm contour], and a small area of very light scratching on the side where it looks like it sat on a stand on display, and a 2mm finish crack on the back bottom edge. There's also an E string impression on the edge of the bridge pickup, I usually attribute these to shipping and it's not the first I've seen, and the small horn tear inside the case is definitely from shipping. No chrome wear off the pickups and a very nice tight flamed maple neck. Cert, in near perfect US silver case with a few scratches and back bottom end cap scuff thru.. ** $4850** GONE** THANKS PETE** 2/21/07

JEM10th #477 - Mint minus with just a bit of chrome wear off the treble and bass side of the bridge pickup, and a few super light wiping type scratches on the front. On the back there is an area under the trem cover that looks like a shirt button rubbed, and 2 areas of super light scratches on the back of the upper and lower horns where it looks like it slid across something, all super light. Otherwise flawless, no finish cracks, dings, nothing. There is a gouge in the case plaque on an otherwise very clean silver case with a corner scuff and just a little white on the end caps from sliding in or out of a closet once or twice. Crisp cert, warranty card, original receipt, tools, etc.** $4350** GONE** THANKS BARRY** 6/30/06

JEM10th #176 - Dead Mint -, in nearly untouched condition and impossible to say if it's minor faults aren't factory. There is a scratch on the single coil cover with no chrome loss so it might be in the plastic under the chrome, and a couple of tiny spots on the back that look like buff buildup, whatever they are they are not "damage" [picture super lightened to get them to show, what looks like scratches below them are actually factory polishing lines from the arbor wheel]. The bottom flat has  a rough factory polish on it, otherwise this is a crisp 10th. There is a wear thru and wear on one end cap of the otherwise crisp silver US case. Cert and paperwork of course.** $4800** GONE** THANKS MAIKO** 1/9/06

JEM10th #101 - Dead Mint untouched in original shipping box. It doesn't get any better. I sold this far too cheap, it'll cost me this much to replace it.** $5000** GONE** THANKS ELIOT** 12/7/05

JEM10th #277 - This 10th was the unfortunate victim of a climactic shipping disaster, or, your guess. It's got 4 finish cracks on the top. 3 that run from the purfling to the lions claw and 1 that runs to where the back of the trem would be. There are also 2 spots of clear blowout in the purfling. In my experience these are caused when a guitar freezes, typically during shipping. The body shrinks past the point the abalone purfling can and blows the clear off where 2 piece of abalone meet. Of course this is how the finish cracks were created, same thing as a finish check in a vintage guitar. Otherwise it's very clean. There is some chrome loss to the top and bottom edges of all 3 pickups but not bad at all, and some minor buckle/rivet worming on the back between the trem cover and AANJ, in two different spots. A couple small finish cracks and scratches scattered, but do not detract [with the finish cracks on the top everything else is uber minor and secondary]. In a new case normally used for Artist models. Go figure.** $2775** GONE** THANKS BEN** 8/22/05

JEM10th #206 - A 10th with a sustainer, and in a gig bag, of all things! Yup, now you'll never have to ponder over whether you could rout a 10th to add a sustainer, it's already been done! I'm not positive which model this is but I'm sure somebody that does will let me know and I'll update this.  I'd have to call this a professional installation as I can't fault any of it. The back has been routed for the controls and battery. The switches mounted on the top in the same spot as all of Steve's sustainer equipped Jems. On condition there are 2 small dings of about 2mm below the lions claw, a 5mm finish crack behind the claw, and a 3mm finish crack on the arm contour. There's another 5mm crack on the bottom side and 2 scuffs next to the jack. There's also what I can only guess is strap lock "damage" on the top side of the lower strap pin. The back has allot of fine scratching as you'd expect to see on a played black guitar, the face relatively clean in comparison. Wear off the top and bottom edges of the single and humbucker, the worst to the lower side of the single. Very little fretwear. In best quality Japan gig bag.** $2850** GONE** THANKS ERIC** 7/27/05

JEM10th #666 - Devilish, players 10th, I'd grade it Very Good, face is clean except for the 40% chrome wear off the pups, typical cliplock scratching on the upper horn, and speckled corrosion on the pickguard where you would finger bridge. There's a 7mm chip of the back bottom edge some edge marks and a few on the back, light rivet rash between the cover and the AANJ. Neck is very smooth and amber and it's my guess it's a coat of tung oil, feels great but not original as the 10th is the only Jem with an unfinished neck. Definite even fretwear on the G and B strings, overall typical wiping scratches and signs of use. In M100. Bought out of Japan the number made it a little pricy, which is getting passed along.** $2550** GONE** THANKS JAY** 2/1/05

JEM10th #239 - Near dead mint, very few and light scattered dust wiping scratches, a scratch on the top of the neck pickup [which Gary had said was there when he opened the box from the factory] and 2 small 1.5mm spots on the edge on the same pickup where the low E and A string evidently hit it during shipping. There is also a 4mm clear blowup over the abalone purfling near the tail strap pin from a cold weather ship which shrinks the body and forces the purfling to raise where the ends of the pieces join. This creates a fog spot and on this one a 4mm crack, very hard to see as it's over the purfling. Signed by Steve on the back in silver paint pen. In silver US case, cert framed, tools, missing warranty card. Last 10th on ebay brought $3500 WITH chrome wear on the pickups! ;)** $3500** GONE** THANKS MATT** 7/23/04

JEM10th #364 -  in Mint minus - a fine line of chrome wear on the bottom edge of the bridge p/u, a small 2mm circle crack on the back side edge near the lower strap pin, and a small clearcoat bump from pinched abalone purfling, also near the lower strap pin. Extremely clean scratch free paint. In clean silver US case w/ one scuff on the back side, missing cert.** $3000** GONE** THANKS ROSS** 10/24/03

JEM10th #571  in Excellent ,  Just a touch of chrome wear on the top and bottom of the neck p/u and a touch on the bottom of the bridge p/u, a small chip on the back bottom edge, small crack on a back side edge and 2 scratches on back bottom edge, light swirl scratching front (from wiping) with some very light bracelet scratching above the trem, light cert rash on back. JEM10th - #678 in Near Dead Mint with only very sparse and the lightest wiping scratches from wiping fingerprints/dusting. Signed by Stevie in red paintpen on back of head, offstage before he went on. He went on carrying the 10th to show the crowd who went wild [duh! ;)] and "tossed" it back offstage, a fine catch kept disaster at bay. Original owner spent $150 to have the cert framed and double matted, Very nice. Picky condition pics here. Clean Silver US case, tools, and paperwork.** $3500**

JEM10th - #579 In player condition. 4 small face dinks, a couple of back bottom edge cracks, some type? of rash on the back (strange as it's in small patches scattered unlike buckle or rivet rash) and chrome wear off the pickups edges. JEM10th - #038, tiny dink on back next to jack cover, some chrome wear off the top and bottom edges of the pups, very light wiping surface scratches. In silver US case, with strange misspelled 10th plaque. .CASE MYSTERY SOLVED,  The original case plaques were etched in Japan. Since the Japanese don't spell English very well nobody caught that they were misspelled. Hoshino USA employees installed quite a few of these before they noticed the spelling and quite a few had already shipped out to dealers. They quickly ordered correct plaques to be locally made and they were sent to TKL to be installed as the cases were made. You'll also notice this "first generation" JEM10 case with the misspelled plaques and the loose shrouds are like JS10th cases [although the JS10 didn't come until 2 years later] in that they are a little smaller and do not have the center combo locks.  This is a 10th you can buy to PLAY!** $2500**GONE** THANKS SUNNY BOY**** 9/23

JEM90TH - Near Mint, with rechromed guard and a few touch ups to some small back edge chips with either a 1cm scratch or finish crack beside them. There were some deeper pits in the guard over/between the bridge and single coil that would not come out and can still be seen after it was chromed. This must be one of many I bought out of Japan because it has Japan paperwork. Bought back from a client, it was Pro prepped and has virtually been untouched since. It's ready to go with a quick once over. In World case, no cert.** $2250** GONE** THANKS RAY** 1/7/13

JEM90th - Near Mint 90 with your typical guard fogging of a guitar that’s been played a little. Clean reflections but light haze when viewed at an angle, but with deeper corrosion between the pickups.. There is a light scuff type scratch on the side down from the jack, otherwise the body and headstock are flawless. A hotdotz.com [evidently no longer in business as no website found] LED strip has been added. I remember when these first cam out and were claimed to be reversible and you can tell it’s just a tape on, but the power unit on the back of the headstock may or may not be easily removable, only half the tape had the seal removed but it appears to be foam type which a normally very difficult to remove. With no inlays I like the system but this information is included in case you’d rather have it removed. It’s a 3 position switch with off, LED, and strong LED  positions. I haven’t decided whether this guard should be chromed as it’s the best of the 3 here, but chromed should be much more resilient and of course a lot better looking. Near zero fretwear but looks like some sort of string winder was used that left scratching on the tuner heads. Had a blue strap lock on but can substitute original strap pins. In it’s original world case with cert.** $2200 pro setup or $2300 with re-chrome guard** EDIT - I had to pull the other 90 guards to get them to the refinishers so I pulled this one and cleaned and buffed it. I still couldn't decide if I was going to have it plated so I'll just let the buyer decide. It cleaned up well but there is still light haze over the pickups, in the pickscratch area, around the volume, and switch. 5 pics post polish loaded. ** GONE** THANKS LASZLO** 1/12/12

JEM90th - Exc+++ with An overall dull guard that’s easy to decide to chrome. There are 4 back edge flakes, the first under 2mm north of the lower pin, the next about 5mm long that also has an impression ding right next to it, and the last is a tiny <1mm 2” away. You won’t see these after I touch them up. Hardware is in very clean condition, there is no fretwear, but there are NJFC’s on both sides, ½” on the bass and ¼” on the treble. There is also 2 area’s on the back of the neck with no clear, about 3” x 1” long on the treble side and a spot about 1” diameter on the bass, both at the AANJ, odd to find and both taking on slight color. In world 90 case with cert, but it is the wrong cert as was not that uncommon for stores to mix them up.** $2050** [8 pics of the replated guard loaded, you can just see a light brush in the lower front that was there when I picked it up, can only be seen when it catches the light] ** GONE** THANKS ALDO** 12/8/09

JEM90th - Exc 90 with some nasty corrosion to the guard, melting corrosion to the bottom 4 saddles on the trem, pimpling to the baseplate, and 3 back bottom edge chips right off the very edge with a 1cm finish crack beside them. I have the correct touch up and the chips you won’t see after I hit them. There is no question what to do with this guard, it will be chromed, unfortunately that will still leave some problems with the switch and pickup screws. Whoever had this has melting corrosive sweat because it has the most minimal of fretwear, showing very little play time. In original world case, no cert.** $1775** GONE^^ THANKS JIMM** 12/13/07

JEM90th - Near Mint Jem90th with just a small 2mm back edge flake, showing wood. The guard is nearly completely clouded by atmospheric and fingerprint corrosion but will be rechromed. JEM90th - Except for some staining and pick/fingernail scratching on the guard it's totally dead mint. I'll definitely be looking for a polisher or new guard for this one! JEM90th - Guitar in Near Mint, body and neck flawless but some usual guard fogging, I plan to find a local polisher and take care of this, if I get a chance to I will and adjust the price. JEM777LNG #30 - Near Mint low number one owner LNG that was played for about a year before the owner noticed the fretboard starting to color, so he put it away and never touched it again. It's got wear consistent with about that much play with light scratching on the guard, and  very small spotting clear loss on the board, the most at the 2nd with small speckled clear loss through the rest of the board that has toned.. The paint is perfect sans a hard to see 2mm finish crack with slight depression on the top below/behind the trem, and the hardware is perfect except for a little wear to the tuners and tiny speckling to the headstock edge of the neck plate. At number 30 this is the lowest number I know of that is HUSA rattle can cleared, this one shot very light so it didn't degrade the signature like many. This narrows the range between #12 and #30 as the spot he changed to the non indelible felt tip. This is HUSA package so it has the handrest, pyramid plaque case that is perfect except for a broken lock ;/, and paperwork. It's got a good neck profile so it would make a good player, or it's clean enough to make a good collector.  Prepped any way you want.** $5500** GONE** THANKS RUNAR** 12/12/13

JEM777LNG #573 - Player grade with many dings, finish cracks, edge bruises, and a decent sized back edge chip. All in all, as dirty as it is, it still looks very good. Head looks clean with some minor logo scratching and slight edge bruises, back of neck unmolested, but back of the nut is the worst issue, a radiating crack from the bass nut mount bolt that doesn't budge a hair with tension extremes [full bar drop to pull up], and shouldn't be a problem. The original single has been replaced with an FS-1 and original is not included. Fairly minor fretwear and the hardware is in superb condition, including the handrest [nut pads have been changed to modern correct alignment pads]. The dirt has probably been on the board long enough to have discolored the wood. Bought out of Japan and it's in it's original gig bag, with all original paperwork including hang tag, and crisp signed backplate.** AS IS $1850** or fully cleaned and pro rebuilt at $2200** GONE** THANKS DAVE** 8/18/08

JEM777LNG #380 – Exc+++ with nice crisp signature. The body is super clean but there is a bruise on the arm contour that left a 2mm circle crack, a ¼” NJFC treble side and a 1” NJFC bass side, with a 2mm finish crack on the back near the bottom edge. This guitar was played enough to dirty the board evenly [which should clean pretty well if desired] but it has very little fretwear. All hardware is super clean except the corner of the neck plate, the edges of the saddles where they’re exposed under the handrest have some wear, and some small “spotting” in the rest. Unfortunately somebody thought putting a new guard on was a good idea, but as original 87-89’ guards aren’t available it’s got the latter with moved Vol position. Head is super clean but there’s a spot of the back of it where it looks like a store sticker was removed. Guitar was obviously displayed for some time as the pickups are quite faded. In super clean non original JEM1000 with full Chesbro warranty card [the reason it’s not in a pyramid plaque case, Chesbro guitars were put in a grey lined RG140 case originally], serial stickers, original wide spread bushing bar [never seen anymore], and tools.** $2750** GONE** THANKS JERRY** 12/2/06

JEM777LNG #60 - Dead Mint, plastic on the guard, crisp in every way with all papers and tags, the complete package. The only flaw is a 1/4" clearcoat crack radiating from the upper right neck plate screw, factory and not that uncommon on LNG's as the radius to the plate is a little more curved with the plate bolting down on that slight curve. Spot cleared signature done by Hoshino USA. In Hoshino USA plaque'd case with one tolex tear on the end. Detail pics here.** $2800** GONE** THANKS FRANCK** 12/11/03

JEM777LNG #362 - Player condition with 4 small circle crack dinks in the top and a 5mm x 2mm chip on the back bottom edge. Lots of finish wear on the trem, dirty board but not nasty, mismatched knobs and tip. Signed #362 a second time by Steve on top of the original faded sig. Grain parallel crack behind nut [with the grain, not between the nut screws!] that is glued and totally stable, frets show little wear. Broken handrest, in original Chesbro LNG case.** $1000** GONE** THANKS LARRY** 12/12/03

JEM777LNG #142 - Dead Mint, plastic still on the guard, appears to be a full body reclear over signature, Hoshino USA guitar and I'm still sorting out what was recleared fully, spot cleared, and uncleared. Either way, plastic on the guard and crisp condition throughout .with all papers and tags, the complete package. In perfect plaque'd case.** $2750** GONE** THANKS MICHAEL** 8/14/03

JEM777LNG #184 - Super clean Near Mint condition, but with a few flaws. A 3x4mm circle finish crack from a ding [no penetration] near the top side edge, a spot on the fretboard between the 15th and the 18th under the E and B where [deduction] some paint pimples in the clear were removed at the factory, removing all the clear at the same time. Looks like steel wooled and runs right under and through 2 frets so it was pre-fretting and has grayed slightly. One of the mounting screws for the handrest is missing, as are the rubber pads for the feet. The very edge of the neck plate lightly corroded and some scattered light guard scratching. Now for the good points ;) The rest is just super clean, ultra crisp signature, no NJFC's, crisp trem, no play wear whatsoever, unsigned warranty card, tools, clean original pyramid case** $2150** GONE** THANKS DAVID** 8/6/03

JEM777LNG - #260 ijn Very Good, Face very clean with with quite a few almost invisible tiny to small finish cracks, typical guard scratching. 3 chips on the back edges with a few more finish cracks and a deep scuff also on back. Very even clearcoat wear through and darkening to board, chip off end of head. Edge replaced with a new Lo Pro, small hole in side of Vol. knob. In original grey lined Chesbro LNG case** $1300** GONE** THANKS MARTIN** 11/25/02

JEM777LNG #359 - Ehh, it's a player. Body is very clean, no chips, 1 dink on the bottom flat, some finish checking on the back (I still haven't figured out why you see this on some 777's), the neck has planty of color right around the frets, an odd place to get wear through staining!! My bet some misinformed amateur cleaned the frets with steel wool without masking them off to protect the clear, then he uses some type oil on the board, I can smell it. A good cleaning with Naptha couldn't hurt. Tweak off the tip of the head and heavy saddle wear, original flattop handrest also with wear. Signature has been touched up and cleared in, possibly Stevie touched it up, who knows, but the clear scrapes off with your fingernail easily so that's a good thing ;) In Original case Chesbro put their LNG's in.** $1300** SALE** $1200** GONE** THANKS JASON** 10/18/02

JEM777LNG #588 - Looks clean at a glance, but under inspection you'll find alot of finish cracks including a nasty on the front bottom edge, and 2 dinks, one on the face and one on the back. Board looks clean but has some small bare areas. Original peak roof handrest. Asian market so in gig bag. $1250** GONE** THANKS TODD** 7/23/02

JEM LNG NECK - Fretboard has been cleaned and looks great! Frets are perfect. End of board drops (away from the strings) 1mm from the 15th to the 24th, it's off a body so this may actually be straight under stress. $350** GONE** THANKS TODD** 7/31

JEM LNG #771 - MINT, plastic still on guard, no fading. Some neck plate corrosion and light scratching on the board (looks like from fret polishing) in pink lined (un-numbered) case. $2000** (pics after Monday, taxes!!) GONE** THANKS TONY** 4/14

JEM LNG #46 -  MINT -, some pick scratching on the guard, slight corrosion on the corner of the plate, tiny 1mm dink on rear, but the absolute CLEANEST board I've seen! AND it has a factory MATTE finished fretboard!! Second one I've seen in matte but this board is crisp and bright as the day it was made! I now believe the neck was resprayed at Hoshino USA before it left  when new. All hardware flawless including *Original* (flat top) handrest!! (a few 'spots' of the top of the rest) The signature has been lightly sprayed with clear to seal it in, the clear broke down the sig a little. In it's DEAD MINT original #rd case!!** $2150** Requested high res pics here   GONE** THANKS ERIC** 11/23

JEM LNG #201 - ex Glen Ciancuilli, First pic in Jemsite LNG Gallery. One of the few Stevie signed with a NON indelible marker. During the signing Stevie picked up the wrong marker after a break and nobody noticed. Picked up the correct marker after another break. When they were preparing them for shipping an employee noticed the sigs were rubbing off on some of them, they realized what happened and found all the guitars that were signed in the nonindelible marker. These were all recleared (the full body) sealing the signature under the clear. Now at least 1 of these 'phantom' #'s has been identified. Slight wear on board, slight staining, short 3/16" crack on center of back, 1 on face 1/8" long, 3 repaired chips on the edge of trem cavity (professional, probably done by Hoshino when they recleared) fairly clean original #rd case. JEM777SK - Superb condition that hasn't been screwed with or enhanced in any way. Aside from a 3mm circle crack ding on the front the paint is pristine and very vibrant SK. This SK has the same type of clearcoat curtain [run] that I had on another SK, almost definitely from the same batch. The other can be found in my Used Sold pages listed as $1075**  GONE** THANKS STUART** 6/20/03 [boy have times changed] and as near as I can read that plate number it's something like 882278, plate number of this SK is 882233. There is one curtain on the front about 2 1/2" long from the inside edge of the grip toward the butt, and another on the mid back that forks into a pair. These can only be seen when caught in the light the right way and are very tough to get a picture of. I've shot several under the halogens and outside. Otherwise there is some super minor scratches between the trem cover and plate and a 2mm finish crack on the back. The neck back is very clean and hasn't been toyed with, the headstock super clean aside from a very small edge bruise on the upper point, there is a little clearcoat wear off the fretboard and some dirt showing in the maple, again, hasn't been cleaned or toyed with. The pickups are showing as little fade as the body is, there is virtually no fretwear, and there are no NJFC's. The trem baseplate showing it's share of pimpling and the neck plate also corroded, this is an early 88' demonstrated by the ealry crossed pads locking nut. All in all a very nice original unmolested example. In non original UV1000 [should be a JEM1000] with a cig burn to the inside of the top and various tolex ticks and losses. The lock button hanging out on the back side but operates perfectly. Not sure what causes this but evidently whatever keeps the button flat has been broken.** $2225** or **AS IS at $2000** GONE** THANKS LUC** 2/17/09

JEM777SK - Exc+++ early 1987 JEM #584. There are 3 small <2mm circle dings below the trem, 2 small impression beside the claw, a tiny mark on the arm contour, but a sizeable 6mm shallow ding on the front just off the edge of the bass side neck pocket and a few small finish cracks on the front bottom edge. The sides are very clear except for a scuff near the back point of the belly cut. I count 4 small dings on the back with a few more small finish crack impressions and some tiny scratching off the rea point of the belly cut and between the trem cover and plate. The back of the neck showing the right amount of light dirt for the playtime it's showing. There is a small ding to the top point at the end of the head and just some slight roughness to the bottom edge. It has very little fretwear but the board has been left dirty for many years and I'd expect there to be discoloration. The board had a very light coat of clear and until it's clean there's no way to know how much is left in the dirty areas. The hardware is super clean with just some fine pimples on the trem baseplate with a touch of cosmo wear on the low E saddle, and the cleanest 87' plate I've seen in a long time on a guitar that was played. Evidently the guard was installed off center as the treble side point of the trem area had to be relieved to allow trem movement. The pink has just a little fade but still looks vibrant, the pickups showing the most fade. Correct crossed pad locking nut and no NJFC's. In JEM100C with a long tear to the tolex on the front bottom edge and missing tongue. Lock works but was broken into.** $2325** GONE** THANKS LUC** 1/12/09

JEM777SK - This guitar is an enigma. It's missing it's JEM neckplate.  Aside from that it's in superb condition, and everything matches up so I really don't think it's been enhanced or restored.. There a small 2mm dink down off the tone knob and a larger shallow dink with finish crack behind the claw [probably from the cliplock], with a few tiny impressions and short finish cracks. The sides are clean except for a small 2mm back edge chip on the bottom side with a 5mm edge bruise that left the 1/2 circle finish crack about an inch away. The back is super clean. The neck is super clean and shows no signs it was cleaned or toyed with, the head is very clean but missing truss cover and when you compare the covered truss shadow you can judge the fade. The fretboard is very clean with just light dirt and I just can't tell if it's had a masterful cleaning or if it was very thin clear and hasn't been toyed with. The guitar has had very very little play as you can see by the amount of scratching on the guard, and the condition of the hardware which I believe is all original. All the guard screws show the right patina as do the pickup mounting screws which are very clean and not replaceable if you wanted to. Everything adds up to being a uitar that looks all original, but I just can't tell about the fretboard. Very little fretwear also suggest very little play and possibly it was left dirty years ago and the board professionally cleaned, or possibly it's unmolested. Given that choice I'd tend to think it's been cleaned, but just the fretboard. Still, the neck plate is gone, and I would love to know why. No neck joint cracks, missing truss cover, very clean cliplock installed. In newish HV1000** $2150** or **AS IS at $1925** GONE** THANKS ROBERT** 5/21/09

JEM777SK - Excellent condition very early 1987 model with plate number 288. These early JEM's have the extra rounded contours of an LNG, nuts with reverse oriented pads, and this one has it's original handrest. On the face there's a 2x4mm shallow ding 3" above the bridge pickup, a 1cm finish crack 1" behind the trem, a couple tiny <1mm marks, but on the edge near the strap pin is a 1cm chip with depression ding finish cracking on the front, and a 4mm shallow ding on the edge at the jack. On the top side there's a small mark on the front edge and a 6mm scratch/scuff at the arm contour that has some small finish cracks around it. The back is very clean with a few short finish cracks on the edge of the belly cut. The SK shows little fade compared to the original under neck plate and guard, and shows more clearcoat yellowing than anything. There is a 1 1/2" finish crack on the bass side of the neck joint and a 3/8" one treble side, the headstock is clean save for some tiny edge chips, and some roughness around both pointed tips, with some string scratches through the logo. There is very little fretwear but the maple is showing a lot of surface dirt, most of which should clean off. Plate showing spotted corrosion, the rest showing small dot corrosion, and the exposed tops of the saddles showing finish wear. It's in it's original JEM1000C that is very clean on the outside but there is some mildew on the inside, notably on the bottom edge of the lid body side, and missing lining in the headstock box end. The original warranty card is in the well.** $2250** GONE** THANKS BRIAN** 12/28/07

JEM777SK - Very rare, very early, and very clean 1987 SK with little to no fade and original handreat. As the 517th JEM it has the early rounded edges and contours of an LNG. In superb condition it has a small 2mm ding on the front edge of the upper horn that turned the clear whiteish, a 4mm finish crack off the jack cover, some crackle to the neck plate, cosmo wear to the top exposed areas of the saddle not protected by the handrest, a long 1 1/2" neck joint finish crack on the bass side, and 3 small spots on the fretboard where the clear was lost but the wood really hasn't taken on any color. This guitar was played for several years until around 1991' when it was sent back to Hoshino with neck issues and they put a new neck on the guitar. It was played very little after and then put away. As a collector this is one great package but this is not a good player. The replacement neck is 1mm narrower in the lower scale to a comparable neck of the same era. That combined with the top edge of the frets having been slightly rounded for comfort make the playing surface of the frets too narrow [for me anyway] and leave the E strings too close to the edge of the frets. At the 3rd fret you have around .5mm of playing surface from the string to the fret edge. When you get up to around the 12th fret you start getting 1mm+ of surface. So, great package, great collector, but not a great player. A fairly deep fret level would give back a little surface but the neck will still be 1mm narrower through the lower frets. In super clean first version JEM1000C with the pale pink interior and one tolex tick off the back edge, with warranty card.** $2500 AS IS or $2750 fully sorted with level [not guaranteed to give much more playing surface but will help]** GONE** THANKS RAY** 5/22/07

JEM777SK - First year 1987 in very good. The body is fairly clean but it's somehow been toyed with and whatever was done changed the SK on the lower front to a darker shade. [The Mavica pics are closer to the true difference in color that the large pics as that camera just handles reds differently] There are plenty of signs it was spot clearcoated on that lower have and edged just over the side, for what reason is anybodies guess but there are plenty of probably circular light sanding scratches over the area that weren't fully removed. Past that the back of the neck has also been shot in clear. This must have been a request my somebody and the Joeseph Despagni engraved signature on the backplate is a big clue. JD replied that he never owned an 87'SK and he doesn't remember the engrave sig but that it did look like his sig. For the rest of the condition, typical light scratching on the back with a small ding in the center of the field, and a series of small marks including a very small chip on the back bottom edge, with a 3 x 7mm ding on the bottom side. Pimpling the the bass side of the trem, plate corrosion, very little fretwear, and after looking close, the fretboard has also been re-clearcoated, frets have been cleaned off I believe. This is going AS IS. In original JEM1000 with some tolex chunks touched up with Sharpie and buggered lock.** $1375** GONE** THANKS DAVID** 5/31/07

JEM777SK - First year 87' in Excellent ++. There is little if any fade to the SK and the front, sides, and headstock are super clean. There are 2 finish cracks on the back near the curved edge of the belly contour, and a small ding on the edge of the trem cover. There is some clear wear on the board and some light color starting but the fretwear is very light. Looks like a mineral stain next to the 7th fret inlay and plenty of pimpling on the bass side trem plate. There are the typical neck joint finish cracks but the bass side crack is very long and just wraps the edge to the back. In pretty clean original JEM1000C with tarnished hardware and a lock that opens on any number with a short throw tongue and probable lost combo.** $1500** GONE** THANKS MARTIN** 11/28/05

JEM777SK - 1988 in Exc++. This is a very early 88' with the peak aligned pads nut [pads in the pics were on wrong and discovered during disassembly]. Very little fade but some evident to the single cover. There's a 2mm circle crack [ding without penetration] on the face with several short line depressions in that area, plenty of clear wear off the board and it might have been cleaned but I'm not positive. Minimal fretwear, very clean hardware, in ice JEM1000C with original unfilled warranty card, original hang tags, and receipt.** $1500** GONE** THANKS GEORGE** 6/15/05

JEM777SK - The cleanest SK I've had. An 87' with original second generation handrest, this guitar is in crisp condition save for a couple light scratches on the bottom side. Some light speckles on the first third of the neck plate and a small bit of wear to the points on the Edge saddles, the board with just a hair of clear loss but with very light and scattered dirt evenly through the board. Does not look dirty at all. What can only be described as a clearcoat "touch" at the tip of the headstock where it appears the wet clear touched something before it dried. Light swirl wiping scratching to the guard only. All paperwork. In original Jem1000 case in exc condition.**$1300** GONE** THANKS ANTONIO** 12/15/03

JEM777SK  - 88' in fine condition for a guitar that was probably played allot. Lots of guard scratching and even overall clearcoat wearthrough with darkening starting on the board, but crisp hardware and virtually zero fretwear. No Fading!! No neck joint cracks. Face is super clean [has a clearcoat curtain up from the bridge p/u the factory didn't quite fully wetsand] and is signed by Stevie "Jam on", which will be perfect if your name is Richard, because that's who it's signed to. Looks like blue felt-tip, might polish off. There's a small 2mm chip off the back edge and some rivet rashing lower right of back, with a 1" scratch lower left back, 3mm paint tweak off the tip of the head. In clean Jem1000 but with "unknown/broken" [I'm scared to lock it to see if it will open] combo lock** $1075**  GONE** THANKS STUART** 6/20/03

JEM777SK - 87' original, pickups with very little fading, body has 0 fading! It does has a small chip on the back near the jack cover and 1/2" NJ finish crack bass side. Another finish crack on the side. The board has some staining but almost 0 fretwear. Has had a tremsetter professionally installed. Neck has frontbow but if you want more you'll have to micro chisel about 1mm from under the truss nut, the wrench will not fit under it and the neck has never been adjusted. (it could use just a *hair* more frontbow, and I don't have any 'carving' chisels) Uncased** $900** GONE** THANKS CHRISTINA** 12/5/01

JEM777DY - bitchin!! 1988 DY in Mint minus. When I bought this I had every intention of peeling the sticker off, but as soon as I saw it I knew that wasn't my call to make. Whoever buys this guitar can make that choice. The sticker couldn't be more perfect for a DY, the colors are near perfect [the green is a darker more forest green but hit's neon before it gets there], it is contemporary to the period, and was put on in the perfect spot. It's just flat out cool. A serious sticker collector [yes, they exist] contacted the seller and told him it was an extremely rare sticker and is only known on a surfboard and a couple skateboards. I pulled the guard up to check for any discoloration and I do not see any so there should be none under the sticker, but, this DY is a hair lighter than typical. It's not faded, it's just the color, which did vary including clearcoats that turned brown in blotches on DY's  [and only on DY oddly enough], none of that here, just a hair lighter DY. Other that the sticker the guitar is super clean. It was played enough to get the guard fairly scratchy and whoever owned it left plenty of light fingernail worming in the maple. The neck and headstock are otherwise perfect, there is no wear through or staining to the board, and no fretwear. The hardware is near flawless and includes a reverse peak 87' nut so this is an early 88' build. The plate is perfect, the plastic still on the trem cover and paper still on the jack cover. There is some light scattered button scratching on the back and a very old NJFC bass side that has gotten some dirt in it and can be felt. It has a perfect neck relief profile with no signs of scarf shrinkage. This guitar is a second and is stamped 2 on the neck plate and on the fretboard extension. I believe because of a ripple on the front butt edge that is tough to see but easier to feel. I see no other reason why it would have failed QC. It's in a case similar to an RG50 but is not and I'm not sure what it is. I do not think it's an Ibanez case.** $2550 AS IS or $2850 Pro Setup** GONE** THANKS FRANK** 7/18/13

JEM777DY - Super clean first year 1987 with typical correct edges. This guitar has been played but was taken care of, I can only find 3 blems on the body, a 4mm finish crack on the bottom front edge at the tone knob, a 7mm finish crack on the back edge at the arm contour, and a small roundish scuff right next to it. The pickguard is showing plenty of swirling but not dense and cloudy, and the paint is in superb original polish. The back of the neck is perfect as is the headstock. The fretboard had super thin clear which has worn thru in the center of all frets very even through the board but showing very little dirt and it does not look to have been cleaned, with very little fretwear. The neck has a rarely seen perfect relief profile with no sign of scarf joint shrinkage. It has a 4mm NJFC on the treble side and 1cm on the bass side. There is small pimpling on the bass side of the trem baseplate and just a hint of wear to the edge of the lower saddles, and the neck plate has cracklure on the treble third. It it's super clean original pale pink lined 87' JEM1000 case, that has some tolex ticks but cases this clean are very tough to come by and the hardware is still bright. Tools and bar but no paperwork.** AS IS [but sorted] at $3650** or cleaned and rebuild with platinum pack [age appropriate] at $3900** GONE** THANKS KEM** 2/29/12

JEM777DY - 1990 with original Edge trem in superb condition. Details include a 2mm circle crack down back from the tone knob, some near imperceptible impressions with no cracks, pickguard scratching of course, a couple very minor marks on the bottom side, a 4-5mm circle crack on the edge of the jack cover. The headstock has almost a shave of finish off the edge about 1" long, like .3mm wide. The neck is super clean but does have a small fissure mid neck that defies explanation and was most likely there when built, no fade on the pickups [or almost none], some light speckling to the neck plate, about 20 or so small pimples on the base side of the trem, in clean [but not perfect, couple ticks, etc] original pink lined case. This guitar had a pro setup when I sold it years ago and only needs a freshen up which is included.** $2750** GONE** THANKS RUNAR** 8/1/11

JEM777DY - Even though this one looks Near Mint I'm going to grade it EXC+++++ just because of the typical guard scratching. Any way you slice it this late DY is in superb condition. The paint is near cherry with only 2 very small <2mm finish cracks of the front, right off the arm contour, a tiny <1mm star crack on the back edge, and a scuff/scratch below the trem cover in back, and some very minor and light other scratches on the back. The headstock is almost perfect but has a minor bruise to the bottom edge and one to the top edge of the upper point, and a small bruise on the back bottom edge. The perfect 1/4 sawn neck [very rare on any 777] is super clean and bright, no worming or marks on the back, the fretboard nearly pristine with no wear and only a few fingernail trails. No fretwear, the 160k neck playe dead cherry, the trem showing cosmo wear to the tops of the 3 lower saddles, the pickups showing some fade. This is a late DY, probably 94/95, with solid green knobs. Bought out of Japan in it's original gig, with Vivid Green [I think] cliplock. It wasn't cheap.** $2700** GONE** THANKS DEBORAH**9/22/08

JEM777DY - Exc+ condition first year 87' JEM #970. I believe the trem has probably been replaced and the back of the neck sanded and re-oiled, the fretboard also probably cleaned, although not well as it's still showing even dirt. The paint is in excellent condition with a very clean face only showing a circular crack/ding over the upper forward tip of the pickguard, and a few small "lines" in the lower 1/4 beside the tone knob that would not capture in pics and can only be seen at the perfect angle. On the bottom side there's a 1cm long series of small circle cracks/dings right at the tone knob, a small 1/2 circle crack 2" away, and a slight back bottom edge bruise that left an L shaped finish crack nearby. It's also a little scratchy where it would sit on your leg to play. The back is very clean with just light minor scratching. Typical 2mm headstock tip chip and a small edge  bruise on the front edge turndown. Very little fretwear, long bass side NJFC, and 3/8" treble side NJFC, pickups with expected fade, correct wrong way nut pads for an 87'. The stud inserts are loose enough to sit the trem against the guard but it hasn't distorted the corners very much. An easy fix for me but this is one of the most common reasons old guitars get sold, they just won't hold tuning [although rarely do they get this far angled].. In mid/late 90's M100 case.** AS IS [with tightened inserts] $2000, or full pro setup at $2250** GONE** THANKS RUAIRIDH** 8/11/08

JEM777DY -  Exc 1990 DY. The body is in very nice condition with only some small shallow impressions and a tiny finish crack. There is a burn to the lower edge of the pickguard, and a light burn spot to the fretboard at the 16th [at least I think it is]. There are some small scuffs and finish cracks around the sides, the back has the most marks, mostly around the trem cover but there's a shave off the back edge near rhe butt strap pin that didn't crack, ding, or chip. I believe the trem cover is from another guitar because it's much more worn that the back paint. I believe the back of the neck has been sanded and oiled to clean it up, as the fretboard has been cleaned, just not very well. There are serveral edge marks on the headstock and the logo has been scratched through in several spots, missing truss cover. The fretwear has been kept up on and has had a recent level, probably about 75% fret height left. NJFC's on both sides of the pocket but they're both short. The pickups are still strong pink and the pole corrosion matches that of all the mounting and guard screws. There is considerable blistering to the trem baseplate and wear to the tops of the saddles. In some generic case.** $AS IS $1800 or fully sorted and cleaned up at $2000** *AS IS* - $1650 **GONE** THANKS STEPHAN** 12/19/08

JEM777DY - 1990 with Edge in super clean condition. There are about 10 pick scratches between the grip and pickguard, and a tiny edge crack on the back bottom edge, a long 1 1/4" NJFC treble side and a short 3/8" crack bass, otherwise the body paint in flawless and unscathed, in original factory polish, BUT, in an unexplainable twist like so many things that just can't be explained, it's darkened. While the clean headstock is pure DY the body is more sunflower. I pulled the plate to check and see if it was UV but even though underneath is pure DY, there is darkening under it, especially at the circular mold relief in the plate seat. This leads me to believe wherever air was sealed away from the body it stayed DY. Just another strange enigma but IMO a fault of the factory clear sprayed that day. There is some corrosion on the trem that will clean off, missing it's lock blocks that will be replaced, and some very light areas of dirt on the fretboard with a wear through spot at C on the B string where the original owner evidently didn't keep his nails trimmed. This guitar has seen very little playtime in 16 years. In it's clean original Ibanez gig bag.** $1550** GONE** THANKS JAMIE** 10/4/06

JEM777DY - 1990 with original Edge trem. Condition report includes a 2mm circle crack down back from the tone knob, some near imperceptible impressions with no cracks, pickguard scratching of course, a couple very minor marks on the bottom side, a 4-5mm circle crack on the edge of the jack cover. The headstock has almost a shave of finish off the edge about 1" long, like .3mm wide. The neck is super clean, no fade on the pickups [or almost none] some light speckling to the neck plate, about 20 or so small pimples on the base side of the trem, in clean [but not perfect, couple ticks, etc] original pink lined case.** $1500** GONE** THANKS BILL** 3/29/05

JEM777DY - First year 1987 in player condition.. Consider this another eBay mistake of mine. There are plenty of scattered dings and finish cracks/scratches, 3/4" NJFC bass side, 1/4" treble, 3 dings in the top, a patch of dings on the top side, a couple small edge chips on the back bottom edge, patch of button scratching between trem cover and plate, etc. etc. Jack was relocated to the pickguard tone hole and new tone hole drilled between it and the vol.Fretboard is filthy in the pics with a lot of built up crud that will clean off. I don't think it's very stained underneath. It's good points are a very good neck profile, minimal fretwear, and minimal cosmo wear and pimpling on the Edge trem. Truss cover taken for a GMC since pics were taken. I usually "as is" mistakes and this will be no different, but I will fix the loose bass side stud insert as I can tell it's at an angle. In something old Ibanez maybe case.** $1000** GONE** THANKS FRANK** 3/29/06

JEM777DY - 88' in Exc.. Looks great but has lots of small condition issues. About 20 short 2mm finish cracks on the face with about 10 more on the back including an 8x3mm dink. Some clear wear through and light discoloration on the fretboard, 2 small ticks to the head and some fine pimpling on the bass side of the Edge. Medium fretwear, missing trem cover, in new UV1000 case.** $1100**  GONE** THANKS PAUL** 5/10/04

JEM777DY - 91' with a Lo Pro in EXCellent++++ condition! No dinks chips cracks, period! Fretboard so near flawless and still bright. Minimal fading to the pups and pick scratching on the guard but all hardware is close to flawless including the plate!! Tonemonster! In UV1000. $1250** And all that was true right up till I put the trem cover back on and pretty much threw the screwdriver out of my hand. Now it's got an edge dink/chip on the back near the bottom strap button. I'm swallowing a $150 Valium and taking a nap now.** $1100** GONE** THANKS DAVE** 2/04/02

JEM777DY - Near DEAD Mint, slight fingernail/pick scratching to guard away from flawless** $1350** GONE** THANKS C.J.** 1/27

JEM777VDY – Transitional 1990 with Lo Pro in Excellent. Guitar looks clean but has a 4x10mm chip on the bottom front edge and a 3mm circle crack/ding behind the lions claw. The bridge has pimpling on the baseplate and wear to the E and A saddles and the plate is corroded. There is very fine scratching on the back and 2 inch long worms from something, a ¼” NJFC on the treble side, but this guitar looks clean. It’s got medium fretwear but tons of life left and the Wizard neck has a perfect relief profile. In M150 Professional Deluxe with broken center butterfly.** $1675** GONE** THANKS JAMIE** 11/16/06

JEM777VDY - Player condition, many dinks but no chips, Excellent player! $675**GONE**THANKS ROB**9/2

JEM777VDY - 91' VDY in near MINT, some pimpling on the bass side of trem and slight corrosion on the plate, no board wear, body and neck flawless!! LOW action and very full, warm tone!! In generic, old, handle-less shit case, latches work :-)** $1100** GONE** THANKS JOEL** 5/1

JEM777VBK – 91’ in VG++ or Exc--, take your pick. I count 14 small <2mm dings on the top, mostly just causing a tiny fog spot or circle crack, but the treble side of the trem cavity has a large chip [hidden by the trem in playing position] that’s been blackened with sharpie, and another chip at the tip of the lower horn. The top side has a 4x6mm ding just off the arm contour, a small chip on the edge near the jack, and a 4mm ding on the inside of the lower horn. I count another 10 of the same small dings on the back, ¼” NJFC on the treble and 1” on the bass side. Typical chip to the tip edge of the head and a couple more small marks on the edge. There is very little fretwear but the trem has seen better days with blistering on the baseplate and tops of the lower saddles, with plenty of finish wear to the neck plate. In original UV1000 that has plenty of small tolex losses, the latches browned, and a puncture tear at the lower horn tip to the interior, otherwise fully functional.** $1525** GONE** THANKS KEVIN** 10/4/07

JEM777VBK - Near Mint, the paint is super clean as well as the neck and head. Outside of the fingernail/pick scratching on the guard, about 15 small pimples on the bass side of the trem, and some corrosion at the end of the neck plate this guitar is cherry. There is one virtually  undetectable NJFC on the bass side, about 1/2" long. This is a 90' with the Edge trem. In clean RG140 case** $1225**GONE** THANKS PIERRE** 2/19/04

JEM777VBK - For a model typically only found in player condition, this one is Super CLEAN! Crisp hardware, crisp paint with the exception of some fog spoting at the edge of the jack cover, no damage whatsoever. No fretwear or neck joint finish cracks, like a time capsule. Minor light swirl scratching to the guard. Incredible. In M100 case.** $1450** GONE** THANKS MIKE** 4/4/03

JEM77BFP - Patheti pretty much covers it. Rarely do I say see pics for condition issues but this would be one of them. Just too many to list. Numerous chips, dings, smacks, just about everywhere. Just to hit some highlights you might miss, the plate contour on the back has been oversprayed in black that runs into the horns on both sides. Why? MY guess an idiots attempt to cover or fix the typical NJFC's. And the arm holder has been converted over to OFR type. Oddly enough the neck is very good, very little board clearcoat wear, and frets with average for age fretwear. In Ibanez gig. Another AS IS loss leader from Ibanez Rules.** $1150** GONE** THANKS JIM** 9/19/06

JEM77BFP - Exc. ++. a few very minor marks around the back edge, guard scratching, mismatched knobs, but clean fretboard, clean head, clean face, minor scratch on the back, minor pimpling on trem, overall very clean. I've flipped both ways, thinking it was a really good resto, or it's all original [except the knobs], but I can't be 100% sure either way so I'm sure you wouldn't either ;o}. In fairly clean original pink lined** $1575** GONE** THANKS RON** 6/10/03

JEM77BFP - Player condition, face looks clean but sadly has had a microswitch added. Plenty of little dinks and finish cracks around the sides, clear wear through the fretboard with some staining., pimpling to the bass side of trem. Has the v crack behind the nut that has been glued and is perfectly stable. In pink lined UV1000 with tolex ticks. $875** GONE** THANKS TOM** 6/3/03

JEM77BFP - Exceptionally clean except for 1 small 1/8" ding, a few light scratches on back that just barely catch a fingernail, and some steel wool scratches next to 1 fret (these might be in the wood under the clear, I can't tell). Board bright with no wear through, hardware including plate Perfect!! This is a rare late run BFP with the direct mount pickups! In new UV1000 (with sticky latch, had me locked out of it till yesterday!). $1575** GONE** THANKS ADRIAN** 10/31

JEM77BFP - Player condition in M100 case** $1100** GONE** THANKS TONY** 4/13

JEM77FP 15th - EXC+++ to Near Mint, aside from the typical expected fingernail scratching on the pickguard of a guitar that has been played, I can only find 2 1mm finish cracks on the back top edge, and light scratching between the trem cover and plate from a buckle that are light enough to sand out and polish if desired. In that patch of scratches are 2 tiny 1mm dings that have no depth. No fretwear, the neck is mildly broad flame and nearly perfect quarter sawn, no neck joint cracks, there is cosmo wear to the bass side of the trem and the tops of the E and A saddles. In perfect UV1000 with cards, all in it's original shipping box that has seen a few trips. Chesbro distributed guitar so there is no spare signed control cover.** $2650 AS IS or $2900 Pro prepped** GONE** THANKS RASMUS** 4/23/14

JEM77FP 15th - New, Dead Mint, untouched, plastic still on the pickguard. There cannot be a cleaner 15th, you can't get better than Brand New. In Perfect UV1000, all paperwork and cards, Hoshino guitar so it does have the signed extra control cover. Buy a new FP2 for $3300, or buy a brand new 10 year old 15th instead.** $3500 AS IS, This guitar should remain a case queen and never be played.** GONE** THANKS JEAN** 1/22/13

JEM77FP 15th - Near Dead Mint, the only excuses are the plastic has been removed from the pickguard and there are a mere few fingernail scratches around the lower pickup edge, and I mean a mere few. There is also a distributor repaired 1/4 neck joint crack on the bass side of the pocket. The crack still visible [probably just went back through during shipping] and the telltale pattern of polishing lines from the wheel polisher they use tell me exactly what it is. The package is complete with clean UV1000, the extra signed control cover, paperwork and tools.** $2625 AS IS** OR $2875 Pro Prepped** GONE** THANKS DARREL** 2/17/11

JEM77FP15th - New - My very last Brand New 15th. Dead Mint of course, untouched plastic on the guard, signed plate, everything as it should be. This is the highest 2004 serial number that I had and from the very last run of FP's made. It does have a 1/2" NJFC on the bass side but it is very tight and only seen at certain angles. Includes normal [not Pro] setup as most of these are now collectors more than players. Pro available at +$200. In it's New UV1000C.** $2250** GONE** THANKS BEN** 6/5/06

JEM77FP15th - Near Mint with only some light fingernail/pick scratching on the pickguard. Signed plate, clean UV1000C. Stud mod and pro setup.** $1875** GONE** THANKS RICHARD** 12/7/05

JEM77FP15th - Dead Mint, it has a 99' neck on it and when the customer asked HUSA why they said the first run was made with leftover necks at the factory. Bull. I'd presume this had the neck replaced at HUSA because the original 03' neck was bad and so it was replaced with a 99' neck they had in stock. With signed spare control cover.  In crisp UV1000.** $1825** GONE** THANKS DAVE** 10/14/05

JEM77FP 15th - Brand new scratch and dent. One 1/2" long by a line wide ding on the bottom side opposite the tone knob, one 1/2" neck joint finish crack bass side. Otherwise dead mint untouched, plastic still on the guard, etc. Edge Pro so stud mod included in price. No signed control cover. In new UV1000.** $1525** GONE** THANKS KEN** 1/14/05

JEM77FP15th - Near Mint, only fingernail scratching on the guard keeps it from mint. Edge Pro so stud mod included in price. No signed control cover.  In clean UV1000 but has a smack in the bottom.**$1625** GONE** THANKS IVAN** 2/4/05

JEM77FP  - Exc 1999 with Lo Pro. It has very little play but does have some bruises. The worst being a chip and dent at the end of the treble side neck pocket [no neck joint cracks] that caused a chip and long dent. Otherwise there's a 3mm ding on the side of the upper horn, a ding on the front edge over the grip, a small chip on the bottom front edge at the switch, and a fog spot on the back in the belly cut. The neck is perfect except for a small bruise on the back edge of the headstock, with no fretwear. The hardware is very clean.. In a perfect UV1000 case.** $1800, or $2075 Pro Prepped** GONE** THANKS MAX** 9/23/13

JEM77FP - From the front this 1990 FP looks very clean. There's a 1cm chip on the front edge side near the jack, and a couple circle crack dings on the side opposite the strap pin, but the center of the back has lots of buckle or rivet scratching. The back of the neck has been sanded smooth, there is a nut mount hole stress crack running with the grain [not between the holes], and virtually no fretwear. There are neck joint cracks on both sides, the bass side crack wrapping 1" into the back, and whatever idiot once owned it [and for whatever reason] scratched over the top of the crack with what looks like a screwdriver. It could take a coat of superglue and disappear, but why. There is pimpling to the bass side of the trem and wear on the bass edge.. In near new UV1000 burgundy lined, has had model number written on it in white out.** $1675 AS IS** or $1900 pro rebuilt** GONE** THANKS ROB** 2/15/10

JEM77FP - Exc++ very rare back cut Floral that is one of the blackest Florals you'll ever see. The front is super clean except for the expected scratching on the guard, on the bottom side is a 2mm finish crack and near it on the back edge is a 5mm circle crack without penetration. There is some light rivet scratching between the cover and plate on the back, a very tight 1/2" NJFC on the bases side, a touch of a chip to the very tip of the super black head, and the point of the bottom V looks like it's been pulled back or bunched and hit with a small dab of epoxy to set it, you can feel just a little bump there and the fabric looks bunched. Otherwise it has plenty of finish wear to the tops of the lower saddle and the baseplate is getting light but not through, and has had a recent fret level, crown, and polish that looks very good and I'd have to say the frets are at about 75% height. The 146K plate isn't dateable but when it was purchased the new BSB had just come into the store so the FP should be a 95, possibly 96 [but also possibly it was there even before]. It is definitely in that 92'-96' range. In it's original RG50C case.** $1975 with normal setup, or $2200 with Pro rebuild and full breakdown cleaning. GONE** THANKS JORGE** 3/25/08

JEM77FP - This 1990 is in Exc+++ condition. On the face there are 2 3mm finish cracks, on and just off the arm contour, a 1.5mm V style finish crack on the edge near the jack, a squiggle scratch on the bottom side, and a light scratch on the belly cut, the body is just super clean. There is a [looks like] distributor repaired NJFC on the bass side, and a short 3mm NJFC on the treble. The pickguard has very little scratching for a played guitar, and there is virtually no fretwear. The hardware is the only real drawback with plenty of cosmo wear to the Edge and pimpling on the bass side, as well as cosmo wear to the tuner knobs. The neck plate has been sprayed with black for whatever odd reason. The neck is very clean but the tip of the headstock hit something that took a wood chip off the back edge that was reglued but not as tight as it should have been. In super clean UV1000 that’s had the lock broken into [obviously from lost combo] but works perfectly, the latch removed but is in case although the mounting screws are absent, warranty card included.** $2000** GONE** THANKS GEORGE** 9/13/07

JEM77FP - Sort of. This one is a mongrel. [EDIT - Not such a mongrel anymore as the PBK neck has been sold and replaced with this new 99' FP neck, but I'll let the old description stand. New pics have been added] Looks like a late Fp body considering how narrow the burst is, mated with a probable older guard/pickup package, the bridge pickup with a little less fade than the others, with late solid pink knobs, a circa 1987 black block black Edge trem, with a PBK neck fastened with a non JEM non serial numbered cosmo plate. The top is very clean with a couple short finish cracks and a spring tang L shaped scratch on the arm contour, the top side has several finish cracks and a V shaped ding/crack, the bottom side has a larger ding and there's a 1/2" narrow edge chip on the back edge. The back has a 1/4" ding between the trem rout and plate, and a spring mark between the rout and jack, with circular spring tang scratching as it worked it's way across the back [when I opened the case the spring was on top of the body, no block lock and that allowed a spring to pop off and have it's way, gladly doing little damage] Long 1 1/2" NJFC bass side and 1/2" NJFC treble. There's an impression on the back of the headstock, a ding on the top front edge at the low E string, and the tip chip. No fretwear, in SKB case.** AS IS $1400** or **with full Pro setup at $1700** GONE** THANKS RUAIRIDH** 2/11/08

JEM77FP - First year 88' in EXC+ with a super clean face and very little pickup fade, if any. The guard scratching is very light and more swirling than pick or fingernail. There is a 5mm back top edge ding with 2 tiny finish chips at the edge of it, a 5mm finish crack on the side 2" away from it, a deeper 3mm ding between the strap pin and jack, a 2mm finish crack next to the jack, a 6x3mm ding on the bottom side below the tone knob, and a tiny ding on the back side of the lower horn. The back is clean except for a series of 4 3mm finish cracks next to each other right below the trem cover. There's a small back bottom edge bruise on the headstock with a super clean face. The hardware is all super clean except for some mild corrosion on the neck plate, but it has had a fine light engraving "S VAI" with a smaller triangle 777 logo. This 88' also has the early incorrectly peaked locking nut. This guitar has very little play time so very little fretwear. In it's original very clean JEM1000 but it looks like it's been Armour All'd and has a rectangular spot that looks like where a sticker used to be. ** $2125** GONE** THANKS BROOK** 6/14/07

JEM77FP - Mint -, extremely clean 98' Floral, the only things keeping it from Dead Mint are some light fingernail scratching on the guard, the slightest tweeze off the very tip of the headstock, and the finish worn off of one of the neck plate screws, plate and all hardware perfect. In crisp UV1000** $1400** GONE** THANKS ALLEN** 9/14/03

JEM77FP - Mint - 00', only some very light guard scratching and a tiny tweeze of clear off the very tip of the head and a 4mm line of tiny dinks on the bottom side. The best quality you can get in a Floral are these 2000's. In crisp UV1000** $1375** GONE** THANKS REZ** 8/28/03

JEM77FP - MINT minus, from the last run in 2000', crisp with the exception of light swirl scratching on the guard. In clean UV1000.** $1450**   GONE** THANKS JOE** 2/21/03

JEM77FP - 88' first year model, I'll call it average condition, saddle wear, dinks, p/u fade, knob wear, everything you'd expect to see on a much played 88' except fretwear, frets are almost full meat. Actually the front and back look clean, almost everything is on the bottom side, some bleed through of some paint pen autograph on the front. Strap pins gone but with pink cliplock. In original pink lined, broken/missing center latch.** $900** GONE** THANKS PETE** 12/4/02

JEM77FP - 88' first year model in near flawless condition. 2 very small and minor edge scratches, neck plate corrosion, and some light pickguard scratching. No cracks [not even neck joint], no chips, no dinks, nice crisp body and crisp desirable darker headstock, no fretwear. One "dot" on back, looked like a dot of shielding paint, I scraped it off but there's still a flat black dot on top of the clear. Original papers and tools. In clean JEM1000c, lock a little sticky but works.** $1300** GONE** THANKS RAY** 8/19/02

JEM77FP - Excellent condition very limited spot production for Ikebe chain in Japan. Only difference is it has Gold hardware. 30 made for this run. No serial #, with an 060*** plate #. 1 dink on bottom of lower horn and some other very small ones, tweak off the very edge tip of very black patterned headstock, face is near flawless but there is some wear and pitting to the gold Lo Pro. JEM77FP - 2000 model, played for about 2 months. Excellent, there are some tiny dinks under the trem in the claw (from the tail of the trem), In new UV1000** $1200**   SALE ** $1100 **GONE** THANKS JIN** 9/15

JEM77VBK – Brand New untouched with ¼” NJFC on the bass side from shipping. I still attribute these problems to the new cases and lack of padding by the distributors and dealers.** AS IS $1650, Pro Setup $1950** GONE** THANKS FRANK** 8/13/07

JEM77BRMR - Near Mint - This was played for a couple hours so there are some light scratches on the guard, and some on the mirror top from wiping it down a couple times, otherwise this guitar would be mint except for a small double knock on the back butt edge near the strap pin that just shaved some of the clear off. The only binding issues I can find is a little separation on the lower leg cut, there is none of the common delam inside the upper cutaway, and no mirror defects on the arm contour bend. In it's original TJC case with all candy.** $1900 AS IS or $2200 Pro Setup** GONE** THANKS JEFF** 3/15/13

JEM77BRMR – Brand New untouched factory blem. You probably noticed the distributor just released the blem BRMR’s they had been sitting on and each rep got 1. This one has 2 small groups of short cracks right on the edge against the binding on the arm contour. There’s not right on the bend but about 1” away. Everybody will ask if these will get worse and nobody can answer that but if it’s not banged right there I just don’t see what would make them grow. It’s been sitting at the distributor in much less than optimal environmental control for over 2 years now already. No binding gaps. Everybody has been pricing these at $1899, but I actually want to sell this one.** AS IS $1700, Pro Setup $2000** GONE** THANKS ROB** 10/1/07

JEM77BRMR - Brand New untouched. I got this out as sold and while inspecting for setup I noticed a small gap between the mirror top and binding in the upper horn. I can't tell if the binding is pulled away or the top is just cut short or if it's a combination of both, but I suspect the binding has pulled away slightly, although there's no sign of it inside the bout. After further review this is not an isolated case. Blowing out *as is* as a blem.** $1725** GONE** THANKS STEFAN** 7/27/96

JEM77BRMR - Brand New untouched. This was the third replacement of the last MR I bought from Chesbro. First was returned for micro routing cracks around the grip, 2nd for a neck joint finish crack, then after discovering the binding sep on the listing above, I find the same flaw on this one. Otherwise perfect. I've lost too much money shipping these back West. High E broken in shipping. Blowing out *as is* as a blem.** $1775** GONE** THANKS ROBERTO** 7/18/06

JEM77BRMR - Brand New untouched. This one has a strange mirror anomaly I noticed when re-inspecting all my MR's after finding the previous gaps. You can see from the pics it can only be seen when the light catches it at certain angles. Blowing out *as is* as a blem.** $1725** GONE** THANKS WILL 8/28/06

JEM7BSB - Super condition 1996. Since BSB’s have no clearcoat it’s all but impossible to find them in mint as it’s so easy to put little marks in the soft basswood. That said, this one looks super clean on the front with only minor marks to include an impression on the upper horn, a couple lines on the grip, and 2 impressions in the lower quad near the tone knob. There are even less on the back and on the sides with only a small impression on the bottom of the lower horn. The back side tip on the lower horn does have a deeper bruise, and as the edges are prone to finish wear and scuffing the back edge of the upper horn is scuffed as well as some other lighter spots. The head is clean except for one line impression at the bottom of the tick’s point. Hardware is in excellent condition with only some tiny brown spots on the baseplate and saddles. Very little fretwear and still lots of blue on the back of the neck, expect some smurfing from playing. In best grade Ibanez gig.** $1975** or **AS IS at $1725** GONE** THANKS PAUL** 9/24/09

JEM7RB - VG+ Grade with some restorations. There are plenty of finish blems, edge chips, circle dings, and scratches on the light RB body, and like all RB's, they're tough to see unless you're looking for them. Plenty of photo documentation to show them all. Otherwise it has a new factory guard with the later volume location, and a set of EVO's were installed in it, the original pots in a bag in the case so they have been replaced, and the Tone is a push pull [haven't done a tap test to see what it does but it'll probably split the hums into singles for pure Strat setup]. The back of the neck has been sanded and [I think} oiled, it's had a very good fret level to cut out some stored neck disease [or scarf-joint-itis], it didn't get the best crown after but the level was done right. I believe the nut is replaced, it's too unmolested looking to be original, and there's finish wear to the edge of the trem baseplate, it may be original or may be a improved finish Edge, but has enough wear to look right on it. All in all it's pretty clean and in pretty good setup as it is. It's in a Prestige Deluxe case that's seen the trunk of a car of a blistering day and the top and bottom shows plenty of warping, although it opens, closes, and locks as it should.** AS IS $1375** or well crowned, better fret end finishing, fully setup at $1650** GONE**

JEM7RB - This is a listing where the pictures will speak for the condition, as there aren't but a few square inches that are free of some little finish crack, ding, or large chip. And even as such, because it's an RB, they're all fairly tough to see. The neck is very good without issues, the frets have been leveled, and it's had very little play since. The Edge has been replaced with an OFR, I think it's a Schaller but isn't marked. The pickups are Dimarzio's, Steve's Special Bridge [DP161], YJM Single [DP217], and EVO Neck [DP158]. In it's original gig from Japan. It will be tested and checked for issues, but sold AS IS.** $1100** I also have an Exc used Edge that can be swapped in for + $125** GONE** THANKS ROB** 6/1/09

JEM7RB - Good condition 87, there isn’t enough space to list all the condition points so I’ll draw the broad strokes and let the close up’s fill in the rest. The worst of it would be a 2” long series of small chips and dings on the top front edge,  a 2” long narrow just edge chip on the front lower edge, and the back bottom edge has a lot of  small dings and chips along the whole edge. In addition there are scratches and finish cracks but these near natural looking trans finish guitars never really show off damage well and usually look better than they are [especially when buying from a couple pictures]. There’s a couple long edge chips to the top edge of the headstock and the tip has it’s share also. The pickups have been switched to a 59NJ neck and JBJ bridge and an addition pot installed between the vol and tone, all 3 pots switched to push switch but I have no idea right now what they do. There was a handrest so the trem is in great shape except for the typical wear to the exposed tops of the saddles when the rest is on. Medium fretwear on a very nice but dirty neck, NJFC’s including a long one bass side, and a “with grain” ½” fissure running from the treble side nut mount hole, not between the holes and these are never anything to worry about. In decent quality ESP gig.** $1175 AS IS** GONE** THANKS KEVIN** 1/14/07

JEM7RB - Early 1987 RB with handrest in EXC+++ condition. There are some light scratches in a small group on the arm contour, and a couple short 2mm tough to see finish cracks nearby, otherwise except for a very few light scratches the face is exceptionally clean. The butt side near the lower pin has some light scuffing from a probable guitar stand, and on the back there are a few more of the tough to see 2mm finish cracks scattered. There is just enough light fretwear and scratching to the guard to know it was played, the pickups are faded, and the hardware is especially clean. The headstock would be super clean except for the large chip at the tip and smaller one just north of it. Definitely the cleanest RB I've seen. In it's original "heaviest for era" Ibanez gig bag.** $2000** GONE** THANKS JIM** 12/4/06

JEM7RB -  Nice dark finish 87' model with original handrest (peak roof). Definitely one of the nicest packages I've seen. It has a few minor dinks and finish cracks, no chips, minimal guard scratching in 15 years. Original pink lined with just a few ticks, warranty card, tools, the complete package. Condition pics here** $1100** GONE** THANKS STEVEN** 5/31/02

JEM7RB - Quite a few dinks and I count 15 edge chips. A *very* light RB so they blend right in and are tough to see. Cosmo wear and corrosion. No case. $600** GONE**THANKS CHARLES** 12/31/01

JEM RB - Player condition** $650** GONE** THANKS JIMM** 12/28

JEM RB - GONE** THANKS MIKE**9/31**

JEM7PBK - Really nice shape with one short thin edge chip, bridge showing  just a little pimpling, just a hair of fretwear, but the headstock has a bit of finish chipping, 3 singles but a 1" x 1/4" long area that looks like a sawtooth pattern of chips. In  E3C tolex case** $775** GONE** THANKS SUPREME** 9/7/03

JEM7PBK - Exc -, looks real clean but has one shallow dink on face [near output] and a shallow crease ding on the top side, scratching on the guard, finish wear on the trem, minimal fretwear, clean neck and head w/ one tiny mark. In clean UV1000** $1100** GONE** THANKS RENATO** 5/13/03

JEM7PBK - Herc Glow in the dark swirl. Has a few dinks and a chip from a loose bar during shipping, otherwise excellent. In clean UV1000c case.**$1100** GONE** THANKS MATT** 6/29

JEM7PBK - Very hard to come by and my pick for the second rarest Jem behind the VSK. Very Good +, has a number of very small dinks scattered, with 2 small chips and corrosion on the Edge trem. In original pink lined case. $950** GONE** THANKS MATT** 11/13

JEM7BSB - Another clean 1996. Uncannily very similar in condition to the one listed above. Shallow line impression on the upper horn, a couple on the edge of the grip,  super light ones on the contour, and a small ding impression near the bottom edge. A few very small shallow impression around the back edge, and finish wear to the back edge of  both points of the belly cut. Clean headstock but it does have several line scuffs, the back of the neck worn of most all the blue finish, no smurf hands here. Hardware in good shape but there is some open corrosion to the tops of the saddles, some pimpling to the underside of the guard around the switch, and medium fretwear that I’ll cut out to perfect during setup. In best grade Ibanez gig.** $1800** GONE** THANKS STEVE** 7/24/08

JEM7BSB - 1999 model that’s basically a flawless body except for a deep smack at the front end of the upper horn that has distorted the shape, a cluster of “something” stuck on the front near the jack, and a shallow line on the back. The very flamey neck is perfect but has just been refretted to eliminate far too much edge bevel to the fret ends from the factory that took away too much playing surface. Correct frets used and I’ll do the level and end finishing on it of course. The trem has been replaced with a correct PN color Edge but it’s definitely mid 80’s and has it’s share of scrapes, the tuner ferules showing some marring also, and one of them is in chrome, while the nut is power cosmo. In best grade Ibanez gig.** $1450**or **AS IS at $1150** GONE** THANKS TONY** 6/15/09

JEM7BSB - Very clean BSB with minimal stain wear. Face looks clean but has a scratch near the strap pin and a rub down the top front edge, and another small edge depression near the jack with  a larger impression on the top back edge. Guard near flawless but with a strange wrinkle in the foil under guard. In crisp UV1000 case** $1100** GONE** THANKS JOE** 4/20/03

JEM7BSB - Near MINT, and that's tough with a BSB, just a few pick scratches, 1 2mm shallow impression and a 1mm spot on the back top edge. Very slight stain wear on the back of the neck, get ready to smurf ;) A few scuffs on the butt end from cliplock strap end in the case. Crisp UV1000** $1250** GONE** THANKS LARRY** 11/19/02

JEM7DBK - Near Mint - The body is pretty much dead mint, aside from some light swirl scratching to the guard. There are a few "pick" scratches on the front of the headstock, otherwise super clean. It does have a fresh crack from the treble nut mount bolt toward the head from shipping. It was dropped off at a pack and ship for a professional pack and all they did was throw it in a form fit box unpadded. The crack is from shipping shock and will be no issue as long as you don't smash the headstock into something that would do alot of damage on its own. The bridge pickup has been changed to [I believe] a Tone Zone. In clean M100 case but with PVC breaks around both feet headstock end.** $1100 AS IS, or $1350 Pro Prepped** GONE** THANKS BRYAN** 9/23/13

JEM7DBK - Exc++ 2000 model with Lo Pro, the guard is showing light play scratching and there are 2 touched of slight edge bruises on the top edge near the grip, and a deeper one next to the tone knob. It's had the chrome knob mod, otherwise the headstock looks super clean [although very dusty right now] and no fretwear. In UV1000 with some cutting across the top, Pro setup.** $1250** GONE** THANKS MARTIN** 12/20/07

JEM7DBK – Near Mint with only light scattered scratches on the guard. Otherwise like new. Pro setup. In crisp UV1000.** $1300** GONE** THANKS DAVE** 12/11/06

JEM7DBK - Exc condition 7D with a blackout guard and knob look. Aftermarket B/W/B guard fits well but not perfect. Super clean neck and head with no fretwear, crisp body, pro setup. In clean UV1000C.** $1050 or converted back with new mirror guard and knobs for $1150** GONE** THANKS DON** 10/25/06

JEM7DBK - Exc condition guitar I previously sold new. The bridge Breed has been replaced with an Evo, unfortunately white, but the original Breed is included. Typical scratching/clouding on the mirror guard, narrow bite to the top edge of the headstock, a light scuffy to the headstock face. Body perfect, no fretwear, pro setup. In UV1000C.** $1000** GONE** THANKS ART** 7/24/06

JEM7DBK - 01' model in near Mint, only 2 very tiny 1mm impressions in the head and very little fingernail scratching on the guard. Looks 10 times cleaner than the new one at my local Sam Ash. In clean UV1000. Posts have been replaced and knife edges filed to spec as I do to all 00' and 01' guitars.** $900** GONE**THANKS ALAN** 5/25/02

JEM7DBK - New, Untouched, plastic on the guard 2002' spec Lo Pro DBK with 03' neck [they owed me for 9 months]. In new UV1000.** $1150** GONE** THANKS BILL** 5/4/04

JEM77VBK - Second, Brand New, untouched, I have looked this guitar over with a magnifying glass [metaphorically!] and I cannot find why it was deemed a second. The string retainer bar is a hair crooked, but it is on half the guitars built at Fujigen. Either way, it is stamped with the S on the back of the headstock so even though it is brand new and untouched, it sells without factory warranty.** $1800 AS IS** GONE** THANKS RUNAR** 2/4/12

JEM77VBK - Second, Brand New, untouched, same as above but the flaw was not that tough to find. The string retainer bar must have been stupid crooked so the bass side screw hole was redrilled about 2mm away from the original hole. I could do a perfect touch up on it but I'm buried in work so blow out it is! Because of where it is a little black paint to cover the maple and it's virtually invisible from a couple feet. It is stamped with the S on the back of the headstock so even though it is brand new and untouched, it sells without factory warranty.** $1650 AS IS** GONE** THANKS CHUCK** 3/13/12

JEM7V7WH - Strange listing this in the JEM section instead of the UV, but a JEM it is. Dead Mint, no excuses, near new 2013 7 string JEM. It's got some deep pick scratching on the plastic still covering the guard, once you peel the guard it's flawless. In case with everything.** Setup at $2350 or Silver package at $2600** GONE** THANKS SAM** 1/13/14

JEM7VWH - Near Mint 08' with Edge Pro. It's only faults are strumming scratching to the pickguard and some very light button scratching on the back between the trem cover and neck screws. The bass side of the trem is scratchy from being wiped with something not soft enough for gold, and the edge of the low E saddle just a little light. It has an insignificant 3mm neck joint crack bass side, probably from the ship in. In it's perfect TJC case with cards and tools.** $1825 AS IS or $2125 Pro prepped with added stud mod** **GONE** THANKS BILL** 11/19/13

JEM7VWH - Mint Minus 2002, what I consider the best guitars of the Lo Pro/ebony era. This one was hardly played , but put away dirty so there's a corrosion [fog] line across the bass side baseplate after it was cleaned off. Otherwise, sparse very light pick scratching on the guard, a couple tiny <1mm impressions on the back, and a 2mm impression on the back of the neck at the 5th. In it's perfect UV1000 with all case candy. $2000 dialed in, or, $2300 with pro prep** GONE** THANKS JONO** 11/12/13

JEM7VWH - 2003 with ebony and Edge Pro. This guitar would be Dead Mint if it wasn't for some gold wear on the bass side trem baseplate and the tops of the lower saddles, and gold wear to some of the pickup and guard screws. Otherwise all I can find is a couple short button scratches on the back. The trem cover was signed by Steve but the plastic was still on the cover so it has worn off. Besides the gold wear this guitar has no play wear whatsoever, and the gold wear on the trem is more a cause of corrosion having not been cleaned before it was put away for many years. In perfect original UV1000 case** $1875 AS IS or $2175 Pro Setup** I can replace the trem and worn screws for +$200** GONE** THANKS LAWRENCE** 3/21/13

JEM7VWH - Exc+ 2002, IMO this is the best year Lo Pro VWH to buy. The scallops are the best cut with nice bright inlays, and the Prestige finishing was at it's best. Last year of the ebony and Lo Pro course. The top is very clean. Some light scratching on the guard and wiping scratching to the paint, with fading of the gold on the tops of the lower saddles and the baseplate getting a little lighter. There a shallow 1cm bruise with a small ding right next to it [looks far far worse in the pics, as intended] on the top side near the arm contour, an indented line by the jack, and a small scratch off the tip of the lower horn. In the belly contour is another ding associated with the bruises on the top side, and on the back bottom edge is a bruise that looks like it pushed the paint into a bubble on the back, raised a bit, and just a little flattened on the edge. In the area between the jack and trem cover is a patch of rivet worming boarding on buckle scratching if somebody actually wore it that high. There is a couple light worming marks in the back of the neck, and just enough fretwear to know it was played a little bit. Strap pins have been changed to Schallers with the included strap and locks. In it's original clean UV1000.** $1600 AS IS** or $1900 Platinum packed** GONE** THANKS** SO LONG AGO I'LL HAVE TO UPDATE THE INFO WHEN I DO END OF QUARTER!!**

JEM7VWH - Dead Mint untouched condition 2006. One of 3 guitars I'm brokering for a client, purchased at GC for a collection [which I would have advised against]. Plastic on the guard and all covers, absolute new factory condition. Nothing else to say. TJC case, shipping box, as you see it.** AS IS at $1675** or Platinum package at $2000** GONE** THANKS JOSEPH** 4/27/09

JEM7VWH – Brand New untouched, trem blew off the bass stud during shipping and was a Murphy’s Law victim. The back corner of the trem took a small chip off of the edge of the rout, about 1 X 3mm, right on the edge. **AS IS $1575, Full Pro Setup, $1875** GONE** THANKS ROBERT** 9/13/07

JEM7VWH 04' [early 04' spec with 03 serial number]. Near mint, there is definite gold wear to the lower 4 saddles and to the middle on the bass side baseplate, typical light fingernail scratching on the pickguard, but otherwise the guitar is perfect. Will have fret level, stud mod, and pro setup. In clean UV1000.** $1675** GONE** THANKS TERRY** 8/1/05

JEM7VWH 04' - Dead Mint -, it's only fault is the plastic was removed from the guard and the most minimal signs it was ever played. Fret level, pro setup, stud mod, the works. In clean UV1000.** $1800** GONE** THANKS GURJ** 5/20/05

JEM7VWH - 2000' in Excellent++. Gold wear off the points of the low E and A saddles and light fingernail scratching on the guard are the only flaws on the front. There's some light rivet rash between the edge of the trem cover and the belly contour, and some typical light scratching between the trem cover and AANJ. A 2000' so it has darker inlays in the scallops [hit and miss that year but the year they finally solved it], needs the new upgrade studs, add $25 if desired. Missing trem cover which should be left off players anyway. In crisp UV1000.** $1300** GONE** THANKS CHRIS** 4/10/04

JEM7VWH - Excellent + 93' model. There is some light worming on the back and the bottom side, a couple very *tiny* marks on the lower edge, and an extremely well touched up small chip that was on the side end pointed edge of the lower horn. Brightest scallop inlays I've seen in a 93'. For whatever reason 93's always draw a premium, why eludes me. In perfect M100.** $1150** GONE** THANKS JODY** 5/12/03

JEM7VWH - 2001' in MINT -, just some light swirling/fingernail on the guard and a small 1.5-2mm clearcoat chip at the very tip of the head. Sweet scallop inlays. In crisp UV1000.** $ 1275** GONE** THANKS ROBERT** 5/15/03

JEM7VWH - 01' in Near  Mint, only pick scratching on the guard and minor gold wear to the points of the saddles keeps it from perfect. In crisp UV1000** $1325** GONE** THANKS BRIAN** 12/4/02

JEM7VWH - 01' in DEAD MINT, undisturbed plastic on the guard and all covers. The scallops are a little thin but nice bright abalone in them. Clean UV1000** $1400** GONE** THANKS NICK** 9/3/02

JEM7VWH - 01 in Near Dead Mint, only 2 light patches of fingernail scratches on the guard, each about the size of a nickel, only visible at certain angle. This one has undoubtedly the nicest abalone leaves I've had on a VWH, very consistent and well matched with beautiful color, not one of them is dull. Superb. In crisp UV1000** $1400** GONE** THANKS ROMAIN** 8/20/02

JEM7VWH - 01' in DEAD Mint, the best of the best with nice bright abalone inlays in the scallops. No excuses. UV1000** $1400** GONE** THANKS PETE** 5/11/02

JEM7VWH - 00' in Near Mint with bright colorful inlays in the scallops. Slight swirling on the guard, some very light surface scratching, one tiny 1mm back edge impression only, not a dink, absolutely no gold wear. UV1000** $1275** GONE** THANKS RODNEY** 5/11/02

JEM7VWH - 95' in Excellent condition. 2 small dinks on the top with a couple very light impressions. Pink lined UV1000 case with broken combo lock** $1100** GONE** THANKS STEVE** 3/14

JEM7VWH - MINT-  00', plastic still on the guard and covers, no gold wear, nothing. In mint UV1000** $1325** GONE** THANKS EUGENE** 12/14/01

JEM7VWH - Excellent+++ 99' with some light pickguard scratching, a touch of air corrosion on the bass side of the trem and just a little gold wear off the wound string saddle points. Tiniest dimple on back the size of a pen point, impossible to see. No case (can you tell I'm having a case crisis?) $1100** GONE** THANKS DEREK** 11/27

JEM7VWH - FLAWLESS in flawless case** $1250** GONE** THANKS FRANK** 4/18

JEM7VWH - DEAD MINT - haven't even taken the plastic off the guard! 99' model in M100c case (Guitar Center guitars!! LOL) $1250** GONE** THANKS JILL** 1/31

JEM7VSBL - 2003 with edge pro in Exc. It was 2 dings on the back edge at the arm contour, one with deeper penetration, and 2 finish crack/dings on the bottom flat. There are some long pick scuffs on the pickguard, and some light button rash on the bottom half of the back, and there are scuff scratches on top of the knobs. It's had very little play time so there is virtually no play wear. In clean original UV1000 case.** AS IS $1725** or full month Platinum setup with stud mod at $2000** RETURNED TO CLIENT BY REQUEST**

JEM7VSBL - Near Mint SBL with Edge Pro, though the serial number is late 2002 this is a 2003 model and probably first batch. Condition is very clean with fingernail scratching on the guard, finish wear to the very top corners of a couple of the saddles, and some very light [probably] button scratches mostly on the back of the upper horn] There's a small bruise in the back of the neck around the 4th fret, and a hair of a string scratch off the low E tuner on the headstock face. Otherwise this guitar is super clean with just a hint of fretwear. In crisp UV1000.** AS IS at $1975** or Platinum package with stud mod at $2250** GONE** THANKS ROB** 12/17/09

JEM7VSBL – Mint minus 02’ with Lo Pro, the plastic is off the guard but this is the cleanest guard you’ll see missing the plastic. The only flaw I could find are a couple lighter / whiter spots on the trem baseplate. Pro setup. In crisp UV1000.** $1850** GONE** THANKS SIMON** 11/13/06

JEM7VSBL - Excellent condition, would be near mint except the guard has been changed to mirror and there's a small chunk out of the back bottom edge. Some expected scratching on the guard, a couple light scratches in the middle of the back. Edge Pro 2003 model so will get stud mod and pro setup. In clean UV1000 but the lock tongue is off [included] but has no screws to screw back on. Lock works fine and set to 000.** $1400** GONE** THANKS CHEY** 4/28/06

JEM7VSBL - Near Mint, some wear discoloration on the Lo Pro trem baseplate and low E saddle, light scratching on the guard, cert rash on back from being shipped on the Prestige book will be polished before shipping.  In clean M100.** $1600** GONE** THANKS RAY** 2/23/06

JEM7VSBL - 1 month old dead mint, plastic still on the guard. In crisp UV1000** $1500** GONE** THANKS JONATHAN** 7/30/02

JEM7VSBL - Brand New untouched 02' in brand new UV1000** $1600** GONE** THANKS GRANT** 12/30/04

JEM7VSBL - Dead Mint NEW 02' in new M100 case, plastic still on the guard, no excuses. $1600** GONE** THANKS ROB** 5/5/04

JEM7VSBL - Dead Mint 02' in crisp UV1000, plastic covering guard shows some light fingernail scratching and is the only sign it was ever touched, once removed it will be as new. $1400** GONE** THANKS RICK** 12/19/03

JEM7VSBL - Mint - 02', some light fingernail scratching on the guard and just overall light signs of handling and play. In crisp UV1000** $1275** GONE** THANKS JOHN** 1/25/04

JEM505WH - New, but a Second, though it was never stamped with the S on the back of the headstock. It was failed for a small 8mm round clearcoat depression on the top, which is amazing because I could barely find it, and it certainly will not show up in pictures. Otherwise it's a perfect brand new guitar, but does not come with warranty of course.** $1200 AS IS** or $1500 Platinum Package** GONE** THANKS BOB** 6/11/12

JEM Mongrel - Married VBK body with an RG550 neck. Claw has been painted blue and is equipped with a set of blue EVO's, blue tip and knobs. Black Edge/hardware. A good player in Excellent condition. In RG140 case. I was going to "Stuff" this down below and break it up but I'd rather move it whole.** $575** GONE** THANKS MARVIN** 12/8/03

Flame Copy? – A curiosity that tempted me into rolling the dice on it. Neck heel and pocket stamed Prototype USA so my curiosity was peaked, but evidently a prototype for somebody making Flame copies. Kenny Sugai from Performance says the neck dates to around 1988 but that the stamps are not theirs and they never made the odd shaped switch cavity this one has. Schaller trem, unknown pickup, there’s a small ding on the top, 2 small areas of finish off the back butt edge, shallow rivet scratching between the quick access trem cover and plate, neck joint finish crack bass side and a chip on the treble side edge of the pocket. This is professionally made but by who is the question. Oddly it’s styled after the Flame that Performance used in their add with the flat treble side body shown here, which is unlike the production Performance Flames. Cased.** I’ve got $1320 in it so $1250 gets me out of it.** GONE** THANKS JAIME** 1/16/06
