SV5470ABKD - This is a Euro model sample that was shipped to the US for 2009 NAMM. Hoshino sets them up in a private area to show to all the European dealers and Distributor buyers that come to Winter NAMM. It's basically a private NAMM show for the Europeans held behind the curtains. As samples used to entice orders, they typically choose the nicest available example, as with all NAMM show guitars. In fact some of these are built specifically as samples for the show. These guitars are sold with complete Ibanez Rules new guitar Warranty [same as the distributor but more customer friendly]. ONLY ONE AVAILABLE!! Try finding one of these anywhere else in the US! Ibanez moves production of the SV back to Japan. It's very retro but very modern in the same package. With locking tuners and the new SynchroniZR bridge it gives you the ability to use it like a vintage Strat or a modern superstrat [either free floating [trem has minimal pullup range] or blocked for dive only], all with the 24 fret neck. Now, combine this with the ultimate in switching options with the normal HSH and Triple Single Mode it truly is a vintage superstrat. You can read about the new hardware in my NAMM2008 section here.
This guitar has 2 minor condition issues. The only Sample that had any at all. There is a faint "scuff" on the front above the neck pickup that can be seen at the right light angles, and a shallow 1/2mm x 5mm indentation on the back edge. Large folder of pictures that include close ups of these issues HERE. Black Blond is a Black finish with gold metallic rubbed into the grain to highlight the grain only.
