USED IBANEZ GUITARS IN STOCK *** GONE Notes ATTENTION - There is a tiny dicked piece of shit CON MAN using pictures and buyer names from this page to attempt to con unsuspecting victims. "Al from Brazil" is very active and always a threat to steal your money. Almost always posing as an Al, currently he has con JEM adds [among others] on Harmony Central under the ID and email address shown here, including a GMC using pictures stolen from the Jemsite Forum and a DNA of unknown origin, but he has also just tried to pass himself off as Tillman who just bought an ATD UVMC from me, attempting to sell it to another collector who had posted a want add in Jemsite. Al is always watching for these want adds on all classified pages, and posting classified adds of his own. On this con attempt he is using a very recognizable email address, ibanezjemcollection@yahoo.com . ALWAYS do an originating IP check on any deal you have plans on completing. Instructions are on my Ebay page linked at the top of every page on this site. New Jersey residents must add 7% Sales Tax unless guitar is shipped out of state, no exceptions! All pricing on this page has finally been converted to Credit Card pricing to comply with regulations governing merchant accounts. All sales that predate 6/15/08 were listed as cash prices and card fees were added to the total if the sale was a charge. Circumstances determine that some guitars are listed and sold AS IS, either because I was screwed when buying and condition did not equal price paid, or typically some version there of. Guitars that are AS IS are not just packed and shipped blind. Even AS IS guitars are tested to make sure there are no problems such as loose stud inserts that are so common to basswood guitars, or electric problems, etc. I don't sell just guitars blind. There may be some fret choking somewhere that could be fixed by action or a level still present, these aren't play tested like a fully sorted guitar, but you should at least have some comfort in knowing it has been checked for most typical problems and either had them addressed or reported so you have the option of refusal before it goes any further. Check out the Used Guitar Primer section for plenty of tips to help you with your own guitars. This also shows part of what the guitars on this page go through before they are shipped to you. It's 9 pages of longwinded dribble, half cleaning tips and the rest setup tips, and it was alot of work, but in actuality it's quite out of date for the amount of work each guitar would receive today. Basically you'll be getting a full Pro Setup as any of the new guitars I sell would get, but also fully debugged as these are older guitars and I always expect to run into issues, on top of the fact that they're dirty and need a thorough cleaning. The link to the New Guitar Setup page can be found here. The index folders contain pics from 3 different cameras [usually]. Currently I'm using my new Cannon almost exclusively as it does large and close ups extremely well. These will have an IMG image tage. You will find a lot of the image folders predate the Cannon. Those that start MVC are from my Mavica and are close ups. Those that start with P are from my Olympus. Typically you'd want to look at these first as they'll show the whole guitar where the Mavica shots will just be chip/ding/scratch close ups. Since M comes before P these will unfortunately be the first files listed on the pages. Many of you have noticed this page went near 3 months without an update [again]. I have just been too busy. Always consider when ordering that I am usually in a 2 week backlog so unless you are ordering a guitar AS IS there will be considerable delays processing your order. Some of you will notice alot of the prices on this page have gone up. With the prices being paid on ebay lately and the continuing shrinking dollar the *Global* market prices have definitely risen. Last PG10th that sold in Japan was over $3400. Last Jem10 on ebay with chrome wear on the pickups sold for $3500 with another selling in Ireland at $4750! A good UVMC on ebay sold for $3600!! A sweet GMC brought $3900! [and yes, these are all true sales where the money changed hands]. I'm just keeping in line with the market fluctuations and the amount of work that goes into the preparation of each guitar before it ships. [I just looked at this, damn is this way out of date! LOL] I am constantly asked "Please send me an email when you get a JEM77XYZ in and I will buy it!". I do not do notices of incoming inventory. I get literally 100 requests like this a week and in an attempt to retain whatever sanity I have left I will not even attempt to keep track of your requests. You will have to check the Used page just like everybody else does, and bottom line, it's fair to all. Haggling - it's only human nature to
want to negotiate and feel like you've gotten a better price. Until now I have
firmly resisted this, but, as times change, so must I. If you'd like to haggle
there will be a $250 Haggling Fee assessed, and a maximum allowable discount set
at a
"What's your best price on that?" - My standard response - "You're looking at it." Prices shown usually represent the cost of the time I put into working on a a guitar plus a small $50-$100 profit. Some of them actually reflect a decent profit margin! Some also reflect a LOSS. I get screwed buying online more than you do, I buy more! What *All* prices represent is *Bottom Line*, and are a *Fair* price for each guitar. If you don't like the pricing please shop elsewhere. The only discounts are if the guitar is bought AS IS and I don't have to work on it, although the deduction will vary per guitar and may not be as much as you might think or want. I am constantly asked to put guitars on hold, HOLD means that cash is on the way in all but very rare circumstances. If you are waiting for a payment or bonus etc. guitars can be put on short term hold with a 10% deposit down. Short term is 2 weeks maximum. I do make exceptions on occasion for valid reasons, but in any deal for longer than 2 weeks and your 10% deposit becomes non-refundable! [Maximum penalty $100] I'm not an ogre, but this is a business! If there's a possibility that you cannot complete the terms of a deal then do not enter into it! I will in no way mark guitars on HOLD for people to "contemplate" whether they want it [or something else they're watching on ebay]. For every guitar on this page there are 2 people sitting on the fence, and a buyer that can come in 2 emails and "buy" it. This does not mean I don't want you to be very sure about a purchase and not take your time to decide, it does mean I won't "hold" it for you while you "think" about it. 2 or 3 players could be talking to me about the same guitar at the same time and bottom line is, first buyer to close the deal gets it. It's fair to everyone. ;o} I just did a MAJOR cleanout of this page and put ALL sold guitars on the Used Sold page. I will probably keep this page trimmed to current offerings only from now on. It was obviously creating confusion as I would get emails from people requesting guitars that were marked GONE. There was a time when I would install new studs in the used 1999, 2000, and early 2001 guitars that have the pinched studs. Because of the expense and the inability to procure enough good studs I no longer do this. This is a quirk that does affect some players but does not affect the majority. You can read about it here and decide if you want to have a guitar from these years upgraded with new studs.
GUITARS IN STOCK *** GONE
JPM90th - Mint -, Sweet tighter flame top and head with minimal flaws. A very small amount of very light scattered cert rash on the back and some extremely light wiping swirls in the pick scratch area, otherwise a super clean 90th. Cert of course, original M100 case. The guitar has a slight twist to the neck, the result of which causes there to be more relief on the treble side than the bass side. It's fine for casual play or case queen, but for anything more serious it would require a fret level [EDIT, this used to say "fairly deep cut" but it's been in climate controlled environment here and the difference between the treble and bass side relief is now very small. It would play fine as is or be perfect with normal level].** $2100 AS IS** $2400 Pro rebuild with level** JPM90th - Near Mint, with one of the killer flame tops and very little play time. There is a little fingernail scratching under the high E right at the bridge pickup, a clear coat touch up to a small 4mm chip on the side of the front edge, between the jack and the strap pin, and a light cert rash buff on the back, just a polish without a wet sand so there's still evidence of the cert rash but it looks clean. There's a small scatch on the back next to one of the neck screws, one spot of a few impressions on the back of the lightly flamed neck, and a small thin depression line just off the bottom edge of the binding on the headstock. I see so many of these I'd bet it was from the factory like this, but it's been so long since I sold them new I just don't remember. The bridge has some small pimpling on the bass side of the plate and the tops of the saddles have some corrosion I'd need to clean. This guitar was previously sold and prepped by me so it's had a fret level and fret end finishing, but before I started having saddle shims made as the bridge has not been radiused. In it's original World 90th case with cert, cover of the cert with some wrinkling. Sold cleaned and the pro setup finished to current spec.** $2475** JPM90th - Exc+++ JP90 with one of the killer flame tops. It does have several flaws and all of them have been "touched up" with a sharpie. The top is clean except for the expected light scratch patch under the pickups. There's a small ding on the back edge of the end of the upper horn, 2 small dings in the belly cut on the back, a could scratches and ding in a cluster on the side at the arm contour, and some wear up from the butt strap pin, probably from a cliplock. The back is overall light scratchy as black gets from wiping. There are a couple tiny spots of missing finish on the back of the perfectly 1/4 sawn neck, the clear at the very tip of the headstock is chipped, and there are 3 small depressions on the lower edge just off the binding. There is just enough fretwear between frets 5-10 to scratch your head and, why only there? The cosmo on the bass side of the trem is blistering and has worn off the very edge, and lighter in a few mm. It's in a TJC case, without cert. Loosing money on this one, bought out of Japan in a bad currency exchange rate hike.** AS IS at $1775** or ** Full Monty at $2100** JPM100A - What is a 100A? This is part speculation and part deduction but France never called the P1 a P1, they cataloged it as the JPM100B which would be a typical Japan model designation number. If there was a B, then there was an A, and the original Japan only release of the "P1" had the multi color pickups like the P1 the John played at the time. If there is any spec different about a model Japan has a different model designation for it. Following protocol this would have been a limited issue of probably 50 pieces although I have never heard a specific number, and then the regular issue P1's would follow, and I have seen plenty of these in Japan and also bought one to include in this investigation. Basically I've spent the last year collecting possible JPM100A's from Japan to pull them apart and see how you can determine a true A from a converted B. To put together a decent group I inevitably overpayed for most of them, so the prices may seem high on some [although with pro setup they should be in line] and some are at a loss. It was just an experiment to solve a mystery. The details of how to tell an original ended up being very simple. Factory wiring has a very particular look to it. As techs we all solder well but nobody does this job like an assembly tech that does nothing but wire 100 guitars a day. It's so clean and precise and almost "cold" with zero heat distortion to the plastic wraps. In addition to the factory wiring is the Patent Applied For stickers on the base of the Air Norton, the solid core ground wires instead of multi strand, the way everything is cut and twisted before soldering, the original untouched foam spacers, and the whole general look to the assembly. I though there would be some secret I might find but in essence it's just common sense, although I do believe I found something very particular to A's that I'll be able to confirm as soon as I break down the early US P1's I have, but this I'll keep to myself if it verifies. All 4 A's I have turned out to be original, and all fall within a very narrow band of serial numbers. I've just started keeping JPM serial numbers so as I gather more the better I'll understand them, but the range is so narrow as to be within 37 digits from low to high. It's only a 4 piece sample and with more data I'll have a more precise picture. JPM100A - Exc+ condition original 100A that looks very clean but there are plenty of small marks dings and finish cracks. There is a 2mm white spot [ding] on the edge in the upper horn, a 4mm finish crack on the top edge of the same horn, a 4mm round circle crack/ding with little depth 2" above the trem, a 2mm finish crack on the arm contour, a reverse circle finish crack on the edge between the pin and jack, 2 short finish cracks on the edge below the tone and a 3mm circle dong on the edge below the vol, with 2 tiny marks in the very clean pick scratch area and another 1mm ding on the edge on the neck p/u rout. On the top side there's short finish crack in the belly cut and one on the edge near the rear point of the cut, on the butt side there are numerous small marks from being set down on something very rough like concrete, and then on the bottom back side is another small 2mm white mark. The back is very clean with a very light 2" scratch off the jack cover and some small ones off the AANJ. On the back bass side of the lightly flamed neck there are 2 separate patches of what look like fingernail scratches. Very clean head, imperceptible fretwear, hardware all very clean except the strap pins. This guitar has seen very little play time but managed to collect it's share of small marks. In heavy duty Ibanez gig.** $2600** or **AS IS at $2350** REDUCED**$2400** or $2150 AS IS** JPM100A - Exc condition original A with a very clean face, but some front edge problems. Lightly cloudy pick scratch patch, there are a series of tiny marks on the front edge of the upper horn, a couple more on the arm contour, there is 1 4mm chip with a 2mm and 5mm light edge ding on the edge between the jack and tone, a 3mm edge chip at the vol, and a smack on the inside of the tip of the lower horn. There's a straight and circle finish crack of the back edge point of the belly cut, a 5mm finish crack of the bottom of the lower horn, a 2mm ding in the middle of the back with a series of finish cracks and light impressions where a buckle would tick the back, otherwise the back is clean. There are quite a few fine string scratches across the face of the headstock and through the logo, and light fretwear mostly on the G. Hardware very clean, in SKB case.** $2525** or **AS IS at $2275** REDUCED**$2300** or $2050 AS IS** JPM100B - Exc + and very clean, but with minor flaws. I'm listing this with the A's because I bought this from Japan to have a sample of a factory B, considering most likely all US P1's had their pickups installed in the US, as was the status quo for many years. And the neck pocket on this one is stamped JPM-100B. The face is very clean with some light circular scratching below the pickups, a 3mm finish crack between the trem and bridge pickup, a 2mm finish crack 1" off the edge near the jack, and a light scratch that runs on the arm contour. There's a 3mm ding on the top front edge at the center of the belly cut, a fine 3mm finish crack 3" away, and another 5mm finish crack on the side at the arm contour. There's a small 2mm ding that's just a circle crack near the tone but on the back bottom edge / side is what I believe is a decent chip fill 1.5cm X 7mm. On the back there is 2 areas of shallow "cuts" for lack of a better way to describe, and a light 2" scratch on the belly cut. Super clean headstock and a recent fret level that I'll clean up and crown better. The wiring appears original but being a year later than by serial number to the A's, it was definitely done by a different hand, with the solid core grounds loose and not tied together which would be standard, and the Air Norton now with it's Patent number sticker. In decent no name case.** $2550** or **AS IS at $2300** REDUCED**$2300** or $2050 AS IS** JPM P3 - Details coming JPM P4 - Near Mint, a tough condition to find this model in after 10 years. There is some very light pick marks below the pickups in what would normally be a polished area, this one just starting to show the lighters polish below the bridge pickup. On the bottom side there are 2 either light scratches or finish cracks, about 2 and 5mm long. There's a series of tiny finish cracks on the back bottom edge at the jack about 1cm long, a 2mm finish crack just off it on the back side. Very odd is the few small to tiny dings on the inside of the lower cutaway, like somebody that kept dropping a 3mm wrench when tightening the nut or something. There is a very small patch of jean rivet polishing lines off the back edge of the trem cover. No fretwear, all hardware mint, strap pins have been changed to Schaller, in new condition UV1000 case.** $1850 AS IS** or ** $2050 with a Platinum level service** GONE** THANKS KARL** 12/20/09 JPM P4 - Exc + with a very clean face, just a hint of polishing where you would finger bridge, and a super thin edge chip on the front inside edge of the lower horn. There's a small 2mm edge chip off the jack cover rear, 2 small edge chips off the back edge at the arm contour, with a couple very small marks nearby, and a chip on the back edge of the lower bout. There's a strange light "whiteish" area middle back that may be something in the matte texture, or anybodies guess, doesn't appear to want to clean off. There's also a lot of button trails on the trem cover and just off the cover toward the AANJ, where there's a little chip off one of the neck screws. Neck and headstock are very clean but there is a patch of what I believe are pick scratches from the high E down on the head from what I would guess is somebody picking for the high pitch. No fretwear, the fret ends definitely exposed enough to be sharp, and the black on the bass side of the trem lightening. In generic case.**$1650** or **AS IS at $1375** GONE** THANKS AARON** 3/8/10
JS10th #18 - Near Mint early first run Chrome with 97 serial number. These first run chromes look much more nickel than chrome and this one has a very clear finish. There is a fingernail patch under the strings but the rest is in superb condition, with just a few super light scratches on the upper back. It does have some mild pitting and a couple specs of dust, but no hairs, and none of the typical spider web wiping and handling scratches. There are a couple of light string change scratches on the headstock overlay around the low E and A tuners, and a light brush on the edge of the end of the headstock. No fretwear, no issues with the skunk stripe, a really nice early example. In it's case with some handling marks, but still in quite excellent condition, with used strap and cord, also excellent.** $5225 AS IS** or $5500 fully prepped** JS10TH #435 - Exc +++, this is a 10th you can buy and play. It still looks fantastic, but it's not perfect so you can feel comfortable playing it without stripping lots of value. It does have a couple marks around the bottom back side, a few inches on either side of the jack, these would be considered dings on a chrome. Nothing missing, one a short 4mm line, the other a round 3mm, no missing chrome. It has several scuffs including a light one over the neck pickup, and some very light scuffing where it looks like the end of the bar came in contact with the body and moved, but then I put a bar in and they're out of range so I'm not sure it isn't just one of the wonders of factory flaws. There are 2 little tiny spots on the front where the black undercoat is showing, well under 1/2mm, one about 1/2mm on the trem cover, and one about 1mm on the back side of the upper cutaway.. Otherwise it has overall ultra light scratching from play or wiping clean. The neck is perfectly clean with no fretwear, but does have a small bottom side bruise on the headstock that just distorted the front edge, and the skunk string has a separation in the middle scale on one side about 7" long. These are fairly typical on JS's and just means that in that area you can barely feel the edge of the stripe. The strap locks are on it and it, and the strap have been used, but are still in excellent condition. These later number chromes from my experience are a little tougher and usually put up with playing better that other ranges.. In it's original silver case that has a few flaws including a longish black line on the back side, but looks very very clean. Fully Prepped.** $4250** GONE** THANKS MARTON** 3/1/10 JS2PRM - DEAD MINT, as it left the factory, but with some long very light sets of scratches that run across the top and the back that can be seen in the right light angles. I count 5 on the front and 4 on the back. Definitely factory as one runs right under the neck pickup mounting ring and out the other side, and another under that strings between the pickups. These were all there when the guitar was assembled. This is a second batch Mizumo plated model, released in Japan where I bought it and imported it. In it's dead mint PRM case with all case candy, and in it's factory shipping box with a few stickers and shipping labels on the outside. Buy for under a bed, or to play. Sold AS IS.** $5750** JS2PRM - DEAD MINT - This is one of the cleanest PRM's I had, and I've had a lot of them. There is one 2" light scratch line you can see in the right light between the trem rout and the butt edge, and some uber light scratches that looked like was moved on a carpeted table, most likely when Joe signed the back of the headstock. Otherwise absolutely flawless Mizumo plated second generation PRM. It's probably better that the one I kept for myself but it's too much trouble dragging it out to check! In correct silver case, in perfect factory shipping box, only out of either to be signed and for pics.** $8500** JS1000TB - Not BTB, this is a TB which was the more attractive model with even staining. There are several finish cracks on the front of the body including a pair of line cracks on the arm contour about 5/8" long and a circular crack on the top edge. The bottom edge of the headstock has several bruises that has been attempted to cover up by running a coating of super glue [my guess] down the bottom edge which you can see in the right light but not sure the camera saw it. Neck joint finish cracks to both sides, very little fretwear, but the hardware showing corrosion and wear, especially the trem. No Strap pins, no case. Another loss leader.** AS IS $875** JS1200CAL - LEFTY - Brand new with a new breed of contour blems that look like ripples on the edge of the cutaways. I'd return these, but I have 2 that both have the same problem so I see no reason I wouldn't get the same in return. I'd have to go choose replacements from the stack, and they don't seem to willing to let me do that right now. This one has the most ripples, most of them on the edge of the upper cutaway. AS IS.** $1675** GONE**
JS1's - before I'm asked *again* "What's a JS1?", a 1 is the original top line JS. It has the same specs as the JS2 (Chrome), JS3 (Donnie), JS4 (Rainbow), and JS5 (Rainforest) except for the finish. The 90' and 91's are original Edge equipped just like Joes, 92' and 93's are Lo Pro equipped. When the JS100 was introduced they changed the JS1 model # to JS1000 so that the best model didn't have a lower model # than the cheaper Korean version. All pre 98' JS1's and 1000's do not have the digitized multi radiusing to the back of the neck that copied Joe's worn neck and was introduced in 98'. All JS1's have chrome hardware unlike the cosmo found on the 1000's.
JS1WH - EXC+++,
This guitar first year 1990 #523 looks very clean, although it does have some
minor blems, on white everything is tough to see. There are 3 dings on the front
that left circle cracks, a small 2mm near the strap pin, another above but
between the pickups, and the worst is a
VAI2KDNA - Millenium Swirls, New and used, ** in stock here**. Also bringing them back to the Used page as a convenience of my own records. I failed to keep past records on DNA sales so there's a large gap in the online record. VAI2KDNA #44 - Near Dead Mint with a sweet swirl. There is no playwear whatsoever, or any signs it was played. Not a single fingernail scratch on the pickguard or pick mark on the tops of the pickups. It does have a short 4mm NJFC on the bass side that was probably there when purchased new, and a hair of a string change scratch on the headstock for when the corroded strings were changed. They need to be changed again. If the pics you'll see the filth under the guard, and the remnants of film left on the headstock from a half assed wipe down, both of these the way every DNA sold in the US was, and completely correct. It was signed in silver Sharpie in an attractive place on the face, 3which can be wiped off if anybody desires. When it was signed it was put back into a gig bag too fast and got frags from being lightly smeared. The owner used something that was not very soft to clean them up which left some small dull areas like they'd been hit with 3000 wet or dry paper. They're very close top the signature line and masking the line it could probably be polished again, but personally I'd just leave it or polish the signature right off. This was a Florida guitar and evidently salt air and case evaporatives are just not kind on PC hardware. From the before pics you can see the fine corrosion on the tops of the saddle and the strap pins, basically where the PC came in contact with the case lining, or sat very close. The underside of the strap pins were perfect. These all cleaned up perfect as you can see in the post pics, but this also removed the normal oxidation and patina that PC gets from sitting 10 years. What would normally be darker in color is fresh and like brand new PC. The horn pin cleaned perfect as did the screw, but the butt pin that was really bad had tiny evidence of the corrosion, and the screw head could not be cleaned, so I put a new set of pins on and put the originals in the case. In it's correct HUSA DNA case with just a couple marks from storage, all case candy as new, including cert of course. Sold any way you want it, AS IS, cleaned and simple setup, pro setup, or any combination.** $8750** GONE** THANKS JEAN** 7/12/10
JEM90th - Near Mint 90 with your typical guard fogging of a guitar that’s been played a little. Clean reflections but light haze when viewed at an angle, but with deeper corrosion between the pickups.. There is a light scuff type scratch on the side down from the jack, otherwise the body and headstock are flawless. A hotdotz.com [evidently no longer in business as no website found] LED strip has been added. I remember when these first cam out and were claimed to be reversible and you can tell it’s just a tape on, but the power unit on the back of the headstock may or may not be easily removable, only half the tape had the seal removed but it appears to be foam type which a normally very difficult to remove. With no inlays I like the system but this information is included in case you’d rather have it removed. It’s a 3 position switch with off, LED, and strong LED positions. I haven’t decided whether this guard should be chromed as it’s the best of the 3 here, but chromed should be much more resilient and of course a lot better looking. Near zero fretwear but looks like some sort of string winder was used that left scratching on the tuner heads. Had a blue strap lock on but can substitute original strap pins. In it’s original world case with cert.** $2200 pro setup or $2300 with re-chrome guard** EDIT - I had to pull the other 90 guards to get them to the refinishers so I pulled this one and cleaned and buffed it. I still couldn't decide if I was going to have it plated so I'll just let the buyer decide. It cleaned up well but there is still light haze over the pickups, in the pickscratch area, around the volume, and switch. 5 pics post polish loaded. JEM90th - Exc+++ with An overall dull guard that’s easy to decide to chrome. There are 4 back edge flakes, the first under 2mm north of the lower pin, the next about 5mm long that also has an impression ding right next to it, and the last is a tiny <1mm 2” away. You won’t see these after I touch them up. Hardware is in very clean condition, there is no fretwear, but there are NJFC’s on both sides, ½” on the bass and ¼” on the treble. There is also 2 area’s on the back of the neck with no clear, about 3” x 1” long on the treble side and a spot about 1” diameter on the bass, both at the AANJ, odd to find and both taking on slight color. In world 90 case with cert, but it is the wrong cert as was not that uncommon for stores to mix them up.** $2050** [8 pics of the replated guard loaded, you can just see a light brush in the lower front that was gthere when I picked it up, can only be seen when it catches the light] ** GONE** THANKS ALDO** 12/8/09 JEM77FP - From the front this 1990 FP looks very clean. There's a 1cm chip on the front edge side near the jack, and a couple circle crack dings on the side opposite the strap pin, but the center of the back has lots of buckle or rivet scratching. The back of the neck has been sanded smooth, there is a nut mount hole stress crack running with the grain [not between the holes], and virtually no fretwear. There are neck joint cracks on both sides, the bass side crack wrapping 1" into the back, and whatever idiot once owned it [and for whatever reason] scratched over the top of the crack with what looks like a screwdriver. It could take a coat of superglue and disappear, but why. There is pimpling to the bass side of the trem and wear on the bass edge.. In near new UV1000 burgundy lined, has had model number written on it in white out.** $1675 AS IS** or $1900 pro rebuilt** GONE** THANKS ROB** 2/15/10 JEM7BSB - Super condition 1996. Since BSB’s have no clearcoat it’s all but impossible to find them in mint as it’s so easy to put little marks in the soft basswood. That said, this one looks super clean on the front with only minor marks to include an impression on the upper horn, a couple lines on the grip, and 2 impressions in the lower quad near the tone knob. There are even less on the back and on the sides with only a small impression on the bottom of the lower horn. The back side tip on the lower horn does have a deeper bruise, and as the edges are prone to finish wear and scuffing the back edge of the upper horn is scuffed as well as some other lighter spots. The head is clean except for one line impression at the bottom of the tick’s point. Hardware is in excellent condition with only some tiny brown spots on the baseplate and saddles. In best grade Ibanez gig.** $1975** or **AS IS at $1725** GONE** THANKS PAUL** 9/24/09 JEM7RB - VG+ Grade with some restorations. There are plenty of finish blems, edge chips, circle dings, and scratches on the light RB body, and like all RB's, they're tough to see unless you're looking for them. Plenty of photo documentation to show them all. Otherwise it has a new factory guard with the later volume location, and a set of EVO's were installed in it, the original pots in a bag in the case so they have been replaced, and the Tone is a push pull [haven't done a tap test to see what it does but it'll probably split the hums into singles for pure Strat setup]. The back of the neck has been sanded and [I think} oiled, it's had a very good fret level to cut out some stored neck disease [or scarf-joint-itis], it didn't get the best crown after but the level was done right. I believe the nut is replaced, it's too unmolested looking to be original, and there's finish wear to the edge of the trem baseplate, it may be original or may be a improved finish Edge, but has enough wear to look right on it. All in all it's pretty clean and in pretty good setup as it is. It's in a Prestige Deluxe case that's seen the trunk of a car of a blistering day and the top and bottom shows plenty of warping, although it opens, closes, and locks as it should.** AS IS $1375** or well crowned, better fret end finishing, fully setup at $1650** GONE** JEM7VWH - Exc+ 2002, IMO this is the best year Lo Pro VWH to buy. The scallops are the best cut with nice bright inlays, and the Prestige finishing was at it's best. Last year of the ebony and Lo Pro course. The top is very clean. Some light scratching on the guard and wiping scratching to the paint, with fading of the gold on the tops of the lower saddles and the baseplate getting a little lighter. There a shallow 1cm bruise with a small ding right next to it [looks far far worse in the pics, as intended] on the top side near the arm contour, an indented line by the jack, and a small scratch off the tip of the lower horn. In the belly contour is another ding associated with the bruises on the top side, and on the back bottom edge is a bruise that looks like it pushed the paint into a bubble on the back, raised a bit, and just a little flattened on the edge. In the area between the jack and trem cover is a patch of rivet worming boarding on buckle scratching if somebody actually wore it that high. There is a couple light worming marks in the back of the neck, and just enough fretwear to know it was played a little bit. Strap pins have been changed to Schallers with the included strap and locks. UV77PWH - EXC ++ 1990 Transitional with Lo Pro. This was actually listed as MINT by a well known Vintage guitar store in Vegas. Tsk tsk. It is very clean though, with some minor marks. No chips on the body but there are some small bruises including one on the top front edge that just left finish cracking about 3x4mm with a 1" scratch nearby, and a shallow 2x3mmding on the bottom flat, with just a bare edge touch mark near it. The rest of the paint is very clean, typical light scratching on the guard of a lightly played guitar, como wear off the tops of the lowest 4 saddles but with a clean baseplate. There are 2 small chips off the bottom edge of the headstock and a couple scratched through the end of the swoosh, otherwise the neck is extremely clean, no marks or worming, no neck joint crack, shallow dimple under the G string 2nd fret with very little fretwear through the rest of the neck, and a very good bow profile showing barely a touch of stored neck disease. All in all a fine example. In burgundy lined UV1000.** $$2000 prepped** GONE** THANKS WILLIAM** 6/4/10 UV7BK - Near Mint - This was the cleanest BK I ever had when I sold it the last time, plastic still on the guard with only plate corrosion and some lightening to the cosmo on the bass side of the trem. It was sold with Pro rebuild to a player, who still kept it in fine condition. Plastic off the guard and fingernail scratching from a couple years of play, the lightening on the baseplate just a little lighter, there's a back bottom edge ding that just left the predictable circl crack about 2x4mm, and 3 tiny edge dings to the top edge end of the headstock. Otherwise it's still in superb condition, paint very clear and free from scratching. This was a late BK with the 256K plates and later solid green knobs. These early UV's are almost never found in good condition grades. There is a ding on the edge of the trem rout bass side, and a small 2mm circle crack just off the top edge, otherwise the top is very clean. There's a small 3mm chip on the back edge, and a scratch close to it, and a few light scratches on the back, otherwise the paint is super clean and still in it's original arbor polishing with the distinctive surface pattern of a guitar that has never been polished or toyed with. There is a tiny chip on the drop point of the otherwise very clean headstock. The back of the perfectly 1/4 sawn neck is super clean with no bruises, with just a back edge bruise to the 1/4 sawn haedstock. The fretwear is very light and perfectly even and there are no relief profile issues with the neck. There is pimpling to the bass side of the original Edge trem but very little finish wear, except to the neck plate as expected. There is a neck joint crack on the bass side of the pocket, but not the treble. The body has been refinished [which was probably to fix chips and why it was available] and the paint is good, but look close at you'll find tiny pits on the surface, and the polish after the wetsand could be better, and there's a small ding on the back side near the lower strap pin since the refin. The neck looks like it was a new neck out of replacement stock [has never been drilled for a truss cover], basically new condition but some small edge chipping to the headstock. The guard is a new guard for a silver dot 7BK [Black/White/Black instead of the Green center], and all the hardware is black instead of cosmo. 4 of the tuners are marked Gotoh and 3 are not, but all match otherwise. The 2 outer pads on the nut are chrome. The wiring needs to be redone and I'll do that no matter which way it's purchased. PGM400 - Exc++ with only a 2mm finish crack on the top, and a 2mm circle ding/crack on the bottom of the lower horn, normal dull area of fingernail scratching under the pickups, and some light scratching on the back over the trem cover. The bridge is showing a lot of corrosion as well as the tuners There are fog spots at every fret from neck shrinkage but the clear edge on the bass side has lifted right at the edge, probably from the same shrinkage, could probably use a wicking with superglue to seal and fill. Medium fretwear, missing one strap pin. In it's original flimsy gig bag with all paperwork. Bar probably not original [it's threaded] but works. AS IS.** $1300** PGM600 - Another of the very rare home market only PG’s I see less 600’s come up for sale than I do the even more expensive 700’s. This one is in Exc. Condition with a tiny <1mm ding about 1” from the butt edge, a line scuff that left a shallow impression that crosses right on top of a 3mm finish crack near the cutaway edge ½” below the neck pickup, and about ½” length of binding separation in that cutaway that looks like it’s been there since new. Also there is some fingernail scratching below the pickup and overall wiping spider webs. Like every 600 I’ve seen the back of the rear point has been chipped with another ½” away at the binding, and the back edge/end of the lower horn has a bruise that left a 4mm finish crack. There is a puncture ding on the back near the butt point and another depression near the butt edge, with very light scratching in an arc 3” from the neck strap pin, probably from a strap clip, and an L shape scratch on the back edge of the cutaway. There’s a 3mm scuff/bruise near the low E tuner on the front of the head, the back corner of the drop is chipped, as well as the back side of the tip with a suff next to it. No problems with the paint on the back of the neck but there are a couple small finish cracks near the body mate. On the rosewood board is a small bruise that should steam and sand out before the first fret, and mild-medium fretwear mostly on the G string. Large added signature with graphic on the back has been covered with clear mylar as has the factory signed control cover. There is some light pixelization to the front from UV exposure [probably from display as the back is clear] but the orange seems unaffected. The only face blems are a pair of small depressions at the edge between the pin and jack, and a 3/8” line/light scratch ending in a tiny depression, otherwise the face is super clean but does have overall spiderweb wiping scratching, very tough to see because it’s white. The back is also super clean with a few lines of super shallow dot impressions that I can only surmise are from the gig bag zipper. Headstock and back of neck is perfect, there is no fretwear, but it looks like it had a slight fret end shave at the factory post paint as the fret ends look absolutely factory and no sign of file chatter at all, but a hair of clear stripped right at the edge of the board from what I believe was a slight file back. Outright this is the cleanest 700 I’ve seen. Hmmm. It's the first one I've seen over 50, not that they come up that often. This one is in Exc -, it does have lots of little marks but because it's white you just can't see them except when you catch them in the light right. I could 20 small to medium impressions on the face with a couple little scuffs, several more scattered around the sides including a small patch near where the arm contour would be, surprisingly the back with just a few and a few rivet trails. There are no marks on the back of the neck but there's a 1/4" chip to the back side of the headstock point and a couple tiny spots to the very tip. Very little fretwear, hardware all near mint, the signature on the control cover overlaid with clear tape. There are no separation or cracking problems around the neck joint that I have seen on a couple being sold in Japan in the past. This is a 700 that's been played so would make a perfect 700 for somebody wanting one that looks clean but that can still be played. In the only case I've ever seen these in when they have come up cased for sale. I'm not sure what case it is and very doubtful it's an Ibanez case, but this is the 3rd I've seen in this same case type. Simple setup.** $3700** or **AS IS at $3400** PGM301 - This is an early 2004 301 in Exc condition. There are a few small chips on the side back edge between the butt strap pin and the jack, and one of the side front with a small bruise near it. It has neck joint cracks on both sides of the pocket, there is a worm trail bruise on the back of the neck and a small but deeper ding on the back around the 5th, the back tip of the headstock is bruised and there are several very small chips around the end of the head on the top and bottom edges. FGM200WH - Near Mint - This guitar looks NEW, it's minor blems are very
tough to see on white, and just as hard to get pictures of. There are no chips
and dings, but there is a short wide-ish scratch near the arm contour about 5mm
long, a few patches of little but deeper scratches on the back trailing away
from the pickup cover, and a long squiggly one on the face of the headstock.
Other that a neck joint crack bass side, the rest of the guitar is mint,
including the hardware, and no fretwear. The dome top Sure Grip knobs missing
the rubber O rings which were probably just dry rotted and removed. Plumbers
supply to replace those. This is a flyweight coming in at just about 5 pounds. A
true oddball in the Ibanez line with the rear mounted and adjustable pickups and
the first rear lower cutaway relief on any Ibanez model.

PS20th - Technically a PS10 Limited Reissue for the overseas market, it is the PS20th in the US but has "20th Anniversary" inlay plaque for the US market while these international market guitars got the "Limited Reissue" inlay. Built in 1992 for the 20th Anniversary of the band KISS, I think the numbers are something like 512 worldwide with 200 of them coming to the US [or something like that, I'm not great on PS numbers]. That out of the way, it's in Exc+. There is a small 2mm dimple on the arm contour and 2 very small dimples by the tone knob, some light scratching to the guard and a mirror blem on the mirror tailpiece, otherwise the top is super clean. The back is also super clear except for a 1/2" scratch. There are plenty of little marks around the edges though as this is probably the toughest body shape to play and keep perfect. Plenty of pics show everything but I'll just describe the most serious spots. There are 2 back edge dings in the belly cut that are just finish cracks, the butt V point has 2 chips, and there's a shallow 5mm back bottom edge ding. The back of the neck is pristine but the tip of the head has a scuff and the back edge of the other tip is cracked clear. Just a hint of fretwear but the ebony board has natural odd spot depressions. spider web super light scratches below the pickups, and a <2mm back edge chip,
with a series of 4 tiny spots about 3" away where it just barely touched
something hard enough to slightly change the color. There's also a small spot of

Dead Mint. This is part of the run of 6 made as store specials for Rock Inn in

RG8427BX - Good condition, the top looks clean, there's a pair of chips on the front edge near the jack but it's on the faux binding so tough to see. Plenty of fingernail scratching that would buff out if you wished. There are several chips on the back edge, mostly on the butt end back edge, but a larger on on the back edge where it would rest on your leg. The trem has plenty of corrosion and rust on the steel blocks and screws, with some corrosion on the tops of the knobs also. There's also plenty of finish wear on the locking nut but the tuners are clean. There's a tiny chip off the front edge of the head and another "marr" that's larger but sorta between a ding and scratches, with another chip off the bottom edge of the drop point. Staining to the exposed edge of the flame maple binding as would be expected. The fret are dark and corroded but showing very little wear. In JC case [interior smells like cheap cigars] but no cert. I could do a hardware restoration on this with a full prep but it would probably get too expensive so I'll just price it out AS IS.** $1700** RG8527VV - Exc +, it does have 2 front edge chips near the jack, but the front looks very clean otherwise and has nearly no fingernail scratching at all. The back and sides are clean with just a few light scratches on the edge of the trem rout. The neck is super clean but for a bruise on the bottom of the end of the headstock that has a black streak to it. There is some tiny pimpling on the trem baseplate and on the tops of the saddles, and cosmo wear on the nut base. I replaced the knobs because nearly all the cosmo was worn and the rest of the guitar was too nice to leave that way. There is no fretwear but they are corroded from sitting as you can see. There's a strange clearcoat anomaly on the underside of the upper horn that looks like it was touched when the clear was still wet and had to be filled, as there is what looks like a fingerprint they didn't screw with, but the area they did there is not a good final polish on the work they did.
