SAVE YOUR RECEIPT! Ibanez cannot perform any Warranty Service without a copy of your original sales receipt. The registration of this Ibanez Guitar is important as it will allow us to keep you apprised of any improvements and / or upgrades made after your purchase.
Ibanez Rules Warranty is available on guitars with Silver package and higher setup levels. In my opinion this is better coverage than the distributor coverage of the Factory Warranty. Not that they aren't qualified to take care of your warranty issue, but because I probably care just a little bit more than a tech working on an hourly wage. I treat every guitar like it is my own. It's just a business expense and no expense is spared in making sure the customer is entirely satisfied with their purchase and that their instrument remains problem free, 2 months after the sale, or 11 months and 28 days after, including covering you return US shipping cost in the first 6 months of your warranty period. You do not have to register for this warranty but you should always immediately register your guitar for Factory Warranty as soon as it is received to make sure you always have the Factory Warranty option if you choose to use it.
Your warranty period on any New Ibanez guitar is exactly the same as the distributors furnish, one year parts and labor. The only difference is that I personally take care of warranty issues instead of having your guitar shipped back to a distributor for it's service, or having a local Authorized Repair Center perform the work. Most dealers will have you send your guitar directly back to the distributor for all warranty repair where a highly qualified technician will inspect the instrument to evaluate if the problem was caused by damage* or if it is a warranty issue and then perform the warranty work in a fairly expeditious manner. Authorized Service Center techs are a little more inconsistent as some are very good and some more qualified to walk dogs for a living.
I typically turn warranty service around in 24 hours, nobody wants you to be separated from your guitar any longer than is absolutely necessary. I also keep a deep supply of replacement parts on hand to avoid any delays in service. In rare cases, where I know the guitar cannot be properly repaired, I will issue a replacement New guitar [or part of a new guitar that will cover the problem] to resolve the matter. Any player damage or wear to the covered guitar will be prorated to the satisfaction of the owner and Ibanez Rules when issuing a new replacement. As with all products, warranty coverage is only valid in the country of original purchase. Overseas buyers will need to send their guitar back to the US to have any major service performed. For minor issues it is usually more expeditious to have the work performed locally and be reimbursed, or have the parts sent to you with plenty of email or phone guidance in how to perform the work yourself, whichever is preferable to you and still amicable to Ibanez Rules. My goal is to always have the best Customer Service on the net and to live up to that claim others have made about me.
* Guitars that are damaged from abuse or accident of course are not covered for warranty on the damage by either myself or the factory.
Used guitars do not come with warranty coverage either expressed or implied. Every attempt is made to assure that every instrument is fully sorted before shipping but this does not assure you of flawless function 6 months later. I will of course try to work with you to the best of my ability to resolve any issue you may find with a Used guitar purchased from Ibanez Rules. I am always available for email/phone diagnosis or advice that pertains to any purchase from ibanezrules.com and can usually get you sorted and back playing as expediently as possible. My goal is to always have the best Customer Service on the net and to live up to that claim others have made about me.
