JS2450MCP - Summer NAMM release of the new PURPLE JS2450! It will have chromed Dimarzio pickups and I can't wait to see it in person. Since Ibanez [and most manufacturers] quit doing SNAMM any Summer releases will only come with factory pictures until the actual guitar come in. The 2450 has chromed Dimarzio's ala JEM10th and JS90th, which did not hold up to wear very well. Dimarzio was reluctant to do the chrome again, came up with a different process, did much testing and decided these were much better. If they are remains to be seen, I would be suspicious any plasti-chrome would stand up to pick and hand wear for very long before it gives way, so be forewarned it is a possibility.

After years of tweaking, Joe Satriani and Ibanez finally release the 24 fret JS. Many times I've heard "I'd just love to buy a JS but I only play 2 octave guitars!!". That is no longer an obstacle. Using a single coil sized humbucker to keep the coils as close to the octave node as possible, this guitar still has classic looks. Guitars can be converted to Lo Pro Edge for an upcharge if the customer desires.
