7 String Locking Nut Mod
Even on a basic Bronze package, every new 7 string locking nut has the thin and soft original mounting screws replaced with the 6 string X23C screws that will keep the nut locked into place, which the originals will not affecting tuning stability. The nut mount holes have to be opened up to accept the larger threads and I use a diamond Dremel bit to open up the headstock side of the holes only. This forces the nut to be pressed hard against the fretboard end. The treble side mounting seat must also be ground deeper using a Dremel stone head with convex face or the head of the screws are too proud to tighten a high E. Slightly proud does not matter on the low B/E strings. I'll then grind down a 12mm pad bolt to 11mm to get that extra 1mm or 3 full threads of grip where the original 10mm screws will normally only grip a couple threads on that low B/E pad. You must always remember that that bolt goes in that spot and that spot only.
The original black factory 7 screws, and the much stronger X23C 6 string screws [it just doesn't make sense, I've pleaded with them to have the nut mold modified to use the X23's from the factory]

The new screws mounted. This is the way these guitars should be built.
