Seconds? - Sometimes a Second classification has nothing to do with quality. NAMM Show guitars can be seconds because they were on display for 4 days and available to pickup and play, which many of them were and will show signs of it, exactly like all guitars at the local store. They are several other reasons they will Second guitars, some are imported for special promo events that went unsold, were offered to all dealers, and went unsold. To clear the inventory they have to technically be classified as seconds to justify the discount they have to give to move them. Seconds are also Demo service guitars they need to move. Sometimes they will Second brand new guitars that just never sold on closeout to move them out. AND, some seconds have heel crack, blems, some are just cosmetically trashed. Every case I open is like a box of chocolates. All Second Stock guitars comes with Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. They're all superb quality.

- Second Stock - The sticker is marked Top Dent - started to sane though, in the area below the trem where there is a very small dent which is deeper than ever being able to sane thru, but I guess they have to make things worse so they sanded a line 1/4" away from it about 1/4" wide x 1.5" long, not even on the dent and would then be rejected for having a shallow sandded line on the top, Light S stamped on the back of the head. All Second Stock guitars come with a 1 years Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. ** $1350 AS IS, $1450 BRONZE, $1625 SILVER** - PLUS SHIPPING
EKM100TRD - F1415287 - SECOND STOCK - Beautiful guitar with beautiful build and features, similar to a JSM but Erics own. No description tag, needed cleaning and as I wiped the fingerprints off and the tops of the pickups clean, I find no evidence of play, the back had alot of areas with something tough that took polish to wipe off, but all wiped off, still perfect, then I catch the front top edge of the headstock. I've never gotten a Second, that was burnt. About 1/2" long by 3/16 wide, it's charred, the clear golden brown at the edges. I got no explanation. The case has some white scuffs and a tear at one end further adding to the mystery. Standard check of my NAMM files, it's the 2016 NAMM show guitar, note in the heastock pictures from the show the edge is already burnt. Knowing it's a show guitar, my bet is it was setup on the top row for the sales meetings in Bensalem, and the headstock was way too close to one of the overhead lights and over a couple days, torched it in that one spot. Don't you love mysteries? The S stamped very lightly on the back of the head. All Second Stock guitars come with 1 year Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty.** $1800 AS IS, $1900 BRONZE, $2100 SILVER**
JIVA10DSB_I220305167 - Second Stock - There is a nothing 2mm neck crack on
the bass side. That's it. Otherwise perfect, extremely light S stamped on the
back of the head.
JIVA10DSB_P021220210790 - Second Stock - Sticker marker poly bubbles which
is marked over and replaced with looks ok but not for picky dealer. It looks to
me as if there's just a slight distortion to the edges on the front edge of the
inner bouts. Very minor. Otherwise perfect, extremely light S stamped on the
back of the head.
TQM1NT_F2200005 - Second Stock - The tag is marked heel crack, pointing to bass side. It's about 3mm long but seems to have caused a paint anomaly around it, kinda like a heel crack fog spot. That's it, otherwise flawless except for the light S on the back of the head. All Second Stock guitars come with a 1 years Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. ** $1800 AS IS, $1900 BRONZE, $2150 SILVER** - PLUS SHIPPING

LB1VL_F2204950 - Second Stock - The sticker is marked Heel crack, there's a 1/2" crack on the bass side and a 3/8" crack on the treble side, otherwise a beautiful build. S lightly double stamped on the back of the head, evidently the first time was too light. All Second Stock guitars come with a 1 years Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. ** $2000 AS IS, $2100 BRONZE, $2375 SILVER** - PLUS SHIPPING
RG8570CSTNT_F2212523 - Second Stock - Crazy good quilt. Probably a marriage between 2 guitars to solve 2 problems The sticker says neck joint crack treble side and binding separation.. Neck joint crack is about 2mm. The binding separation has been glued and if you rub it with your fingernail you can just barely feel it, which means you cannot feel it with your hand at all. That's it, otherwise flawless except for the S on the back of the head. All Second Stock guitars come with a 1 years Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. **$2300 AS IS, $2400 BRONZE, $2600 SILVER** - PLUS SHIPPING**
AZ2204BBK_F2006161 - SECOND STOCK - Description tag marked "Twisted hum neck [replaced with a new neck with a good fit, about a .3mm pocket gap treble side] and ripples and lines in top" where the area below the trem is covered in sink lines, with another single line above the trem, shown in these 2 .mov files here and here. S stamped on the back of the head. All Second Stock guitars come with 1 year Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. **AS IS $1450, BRONZE $1550, SILVER at $1700**

AZS2200FSTB_F2115418 - SECOND STOCK - The sticker is marked Chips on top, and I'm at a loss. It looks like some kid played drums on it for a minute. there's 2 chips, one 2x5mm and the other about 2x3mm, but there's about 30 tiny shallow dings mostly in 3 areas, around the bigger chip, the smaller chip, and then below the trem off the knobs. All Second Stock guitars come with a 1 years Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. ** $1450 AS IS, $1550 BRONZE, $1825 SILVER** - PLUS SHIPPING

- SECOND STOCK - Description tag marked NAMM SAMPLE - BUYER DIRECTED SECOND. The guitar is perfect, there are a couple light short sink lines by the knobs andanother pair under the pickups, but all the BKP's I received had lines. Shown in the .MOV files HERE. Extremely light S stamped on the head.
- SECOND STOCK - Description tag marked sanded thru while repairing body lines, and there is no sand thru but there are body lines running from the knobs almost to the lower horn. There's no way these sand out, there's no evidence anybody tried. Lines shown HERE. Extremely light S stamped on the head.
JS2410SYB_F2215640 - SECOND STOCK - Description tag marked Chip on back and
there's a 3mm chip off the end of the trem cover. There are a few shallow sink
lines around the knobs. Extremely light S
stamped on the head.
JS2410SYB_F2319480 - SECOND STOCK - Description tag marked Chip on back and
there's a 4mm chip off the end of the back of the lower horn. The rest is
perfect. Light S
stamped on the head.
JS2410SYB_F2421213 - SECOND STOCK - Description tag has long description of
trying to sand out sink lines all over the top and in some areas there are sand
thru. It's not exactly thru but IMO the buffing process created tiny pits in
between the pickups and above the trem you can only see after searching for
something a long time. The sink lines were removed except for a couple short
ones over the neck pocket. The back still has lines and waves. Super light S
stamped on the head.
JS1's - before I'm asked *again* "What's a JS1?", a 1 is the original top line JS. It has the same specs as the JS2 (Chrome), JS3 (Donnie), JS4 (Rainbow), and JS5 (Rainforest) except for the finish. The 90' and 91's are original Edge equipped just like Joes, 92' and 93's are Lo Pro equipped. When the JS100 was introduced they changed the JS1 model # to JS1000 so that the best model didn't have a lower model # than the cheaper Korean version. All pre 98' JS1's and 1000's do not have the digitized multi radiusing to the back of the neck that copied Joe's worn neck and was introduced in 98'. All JS1's have chrome hardware unlike the cosmo found on the 1000's.
JEM7VPWH_P01220918141 - Second Stock - The sticker is marked Top Dent - started to sand though, in the area below the trem where there is a very small dent which is deeper than ever being able to sand thru, but I guess they have to make things worse so they sanded a line 1/4" away from it about 1/4" wide x 1.5" long, not even on the dent and would then be rejected for having a shallow sandded line on the top, Light S stamped on the back of the head. JEM7VPWH_P01230612923 - Second Stock - The sticker is marked Heel Crack and on the bass side is about a 2mm heel crack I could barely find and not sure will show up in the pictures. Otherwise a very nice build with typical roughness inside the trem cavity. Super light S stamped on the back of the head. All Second Stock guitars come with a 1 years Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. ** $1450 AS IS, $1550 BRONZE, $1725 SILVER** - PLUS SHIPPING

ATZ10PSRM_I211104324 - SECOND STOCK - File specifies Cosmetics, buyer directed seconds. Flown over from Japan IMO it's the new HUSA demo model that would have been the NAMM guitar if they had a regular booth, although the sand thru blems on the fretbboard would have been pointed out at the show. A couple very light line scuffs from slight handling at the meeting.2 S stamped on the back of the head. TQM2CUF_F2328183 - SECOND STOCK - No description tag, I believe this was the
NAMM sales meeting or the show guitar I never got a shot of as I didn't go last
year. It's a matte finish and the only blems are 2 faint line scuffs on the
upper horn, and a very short line scuff from the corner of the neck pickup rout.
The top side of the AANJ shows some light polishing from handle or play as does
the back of the neck. Very nice build. S
stamped on the head.

GB10BS_F2329183 - Second Stock - There is a small chip under the bass/head corner of the bridge pickup most likely from the pickup slapping down and hitting it. Under 3mm and hard to see because of the location. Extremely light S stamped on the back of the head. This line absolutely produces some of the finest guitars in the world, you can measure this against any boutique. All Second Stock guitars come with 1 year Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty.** $2750 AS IS** $2850 BRONZE** PLUS SHIPPING
GB10SEFMSRR_W24050287 - SECOND STOCK - Description tag marked Crack under
poly - missing paint, and after a long inspection there's some of the red
missing under the clear on the side of the neck heel next to where the neck
pickup mounts, and there is a line but I do not believe it's a crack at all,
it's whatever scraped the red off in that spot and left a ridge. Otherwise this
is a beautiful build, Premium quality finishing though they are not listed as
Premiums. The tailpieces always look like crap on the plating, even most of the
Japanese guitars. Light S
stamped on the head.
PM3CBKL_W24031449 - SECOND STOCK - Description tag marked Finish flaw top
body [matte finish] and the entire area over the neck has been polished to try
and remove a very light but long scratch, about 4". Of course all that's going
to do is polish the matte finish but it was a Second either way. The last 5
frets roll down, or from where the neck meets the body. S
stamped on the head.

MMN1TAB_F2401007 - SECOND STOCK - Description tag marked heel cracks and
there's a 3/4" on the treble side and a 1/4" on the bass. Very sweet top, I wish
I could get J Customs this good. Very nice build, the rosewood board is grainy. S
stamped on the head.
MAR10LMM_I1812578 - SECOND STOCK - Tag missing but right below the trem there's 2 "lines" on a paint anomaly they messed with to try and fix when they know it's just going to make it worse, so it has a 1" lightly polished spot around them now. Otherwise perfectish, it's Indo. S stamped on the head. All Second Stock guitars come with a 1 years Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. AS IS $1100, BRONZE $1125 SILVER $1300 - PLUS SHIPPING
MAR10LMM_P01190218449 - SECOND STOCK - Tag marked "flawed logo and headstock" and circled on the front, but there is nothing on the front. I think they're referring to a 2" wide line scuff on the back of the headstock. There is also a tiny dot pimple in the paint above the guard but that's just typical Indo finish. From the fingerprints I can tell this was the sales meting guitar that would have gone to NAMM. It cleaned up all but perfect with a 3" line scuff that's just took enough matte off to be visible, but it's on the arm contour where your arm will always cover it. Very light S stamped on the head. All Second Stock guitars come with a 1 years Ibanez Rules Platinum Warranty. AS IS $1150, BRONZE $1175 SILVER $1350 - PLUS SHIPPING
SLM10TRM_P01210110052 - SECOND STOCK -Description tag marked "Chip on fretboard" which looks more like a sand thru at the 14th, the clear around it polished, with several spots between 1, 2 and 3 that have some shiny streaks. There is a little sheen to the matte clear on the back butt end. A very nice build but the rest is typical cosmetic Premium crap. S stamped on the back of the head. New Jersey residents must add 7% Sales Tax unless guitar is shipped out of state, no exceptions!
All pricing on this page has finally been converted to Credit Card pricing to comply with regulations governing merchant accounts. All sales that predate 6/15/08 were listed as cash prices and card fees were added to the total if the sale was a charge.
Circumstances determine that some guitars are listed and sold AS IS, either because I was screwed when buying and condition did not equal price paid, or typically some version there of. Guitars that are AS IS are not just packed and shipped blind. Even AS IS guitars are tested to make sure there are no problems such as loose stud inserts that are so common to basswood guitars, or electric problems, etc. I don't sell just guitars blind. There may be some fret choking somewhere that could be fixed by action or a level still present, these aren't play tested like a fully sorted guitar, but you should at least have some comfort in knowing it has been checked for most typical problems and either had them addressed or reported so you have the option of refusal before it goes any further.
Check out the Used Guitar Primer section for plenty of tips to help you with your own guitars. This also shows part of what the guitars on this page go through before they are shipped to you. It's 9 pages of longwinded dribble, half cleaning tips and the rest setup tips, and it was alot of work, but in actuality it's quite out of date for the amount of work each guitar would receive today. Basically you'll be getting a full Pro Setup as any of the new guitars I sell would get, but also fully debugged as these are older guitars and I always expect to run into issues, on top of the fact that they're dirty and need a thorough cleaning. The link to the New Guitar Setup page can be found here.
The index folders contain pics from 3 different cameras [usually]. Currently I'm using my new Cannon almost exclusively as it does large and close ups extremely well. These will have an IMG image tage. You will find a lot of the image folders predate the Cannon. Those that start MVC are from my Mavica and are close ups. Those that start with P are from my Olympus. Typically you'd want to look at these first as they'll show the whole guitar where the Mavica shots will just be chip/ding/scratch close ups. Since M comes before P these will unfortunately be the first files listed on the pages.
Many of you have noticed this page went near 3 months without an update [again]. I have just been too busy. Always consider when ordering that I am usually in a 2 week backlog so unless you are ordering a guitar AS IS there will be considerable delays processing your order.
Some of you will notice alot of the prices on this page have gone up. With the prices being paid on ebay lately and the continuing shrinking dollar the *Global* market prices have definitely risen. Last PG10th that sold in Japan was over $3400. Last Jem10 on ebay with chrome wear on the pickups sold for $3500 with another selling in Ireland at $4750! A good UVMC on ebay sold for $3600!! A sweet GMC brought $3900! [and yes, these are all true sales where the money changed hands]. I'm just keeping in line with the market fluctuations and the amount of work that goes into the preparation of each guitar before it ships. [I just looked at this, damn is this way out of date! LOL]
I am constantly asked "Please send me an email when you get a JEM77XYZ in and I will buy it!". I do not do notices of incoming inventory. I get literally 100 requests like this a week and in an attempt to retain whatever sanity I have left I will not even attempt to keep track of your requests. You will have to check the Used page just like everybody else does, and bottom line, it's fair to all.
Haggling - it's only human nature to
want to negotiate and feel like you've gotten a better price. Until now I have
firmly resisted this, but, as times change, so must I. If you'd like to haggle
there will be a $250 Haggling Fee assessed, and a maximum allowable discount set
at a
"What's your best price on that?" - My standard response - "You're looking at it." Prices shown usually represent the cost of the time I put into working on a a guitar plus a small $50-$100 profit. Some of them actually reflect a decent profit margin! Some also reflect a LOSS. I get screwed buying online more than you do, I buy more! What *All* prices represent is *Bottom Line*, and are a *Fair* price for each guitar. If you don't like the pricing please shop elsewhere. The only discounts are if the guitar is bought AS IS and I don't have to work on it, although the deduction will vary per guitar and may not be as much as you might think or want.
I am constantly asked to put guitars on hold, HOLD means that cash is on the way in all but very rare circumstances. If you are waiting for a payment or bonus etc. guitars can be put on short term hold with a 10% deposit down. Short term is 2 weeks maximum. I do make exceptions on occasion for valid reasons, but in any deal for longer than 2 weeks and your 10% deposit becomes non-refundable! [Maximum penalty $100] I'm not an ogre, but this is a business! If there's a possibility that you cannot complete the terms of a deal then do not enter into it! I will in no way mark guitars on HOLD for people to "contemplate" whether they want it [or something else they're watching on ebay]. For every guitar on this page there are 2 people sitting on the fence, and a buyer that can come in 2 emails and "buy" it. This does not mean I don't want you to be very sure about a purchase and not take your time to decide, it does mean I won't "hold" it for you while you "think" about it. 2 or 3 players could be talking to me about the same guitar at the same time and bottom line is, first buyer to close the deal gets it. It's fair to everyone. ;o}
I just did a MAJOR cleanout of this page and put ALL sold guitars on the Used Sold page. I will probably keep this page trimmed to current offerings only from now on. It was obviously creating confusion as I would get emails from people requesting guitars that were marked GONE.
