JS20th Prototype

JS20th - The Prototype for the JS20th was shown, but that's it. It is not confirmed this will be the model, there is no pricing [although you can be positive that it will be high], and the possibility of a Summer NAMM release was as far as any of the reps were willing to say. So, it was just a tease, but it really teased. No doubt it was one of the hits of the entire show as there was usually a mob standing around it taking pictures, having their pictures taken with it, and just plain gawking and jawing about it. If it was there for the reaction it did it's job well. The display was outrageous. I had been told a few weeks ago that the 3D surfer was possibly going to be "detachable" for playing [as with it's height it would be in the reach of a pick which would undoubtedly peel the chrome] and you can see from the close ups that the "puzzle rout" it fits into was kept out from under the pickup rings which leads me to think this might be the case, possibly it could be replaced with a flat piece so as not to interfere with pick of picking hand placement, but only speculation. Of course, this could or could not be the end product anyway, but cool, it is! Complete with the life size Silver Surfer hangin' 10, if that doesn't fit right in an LA show I don't know what would. Obviously I shot lots of pics, many of them redundant, but with the crowds it wasn't easy to get close shots so I did at every opportunity, and was given a Crowd Chant [MOVE!] more than once!
