SZR720TGB - The SZ series is changed to SZR this year, but these 720's are far above the old SZ's. Made in the Chinese Custom shop the details are excellent, in fact if they ever get the minutia perfect they will be a power player. The fretwork is the superb JCustom trained [IMO] ball fret ends, although, the frets do not get a level the way a Japanese neck would [even though they need to be redone after the fresh built necks settle]. The new vine with the abalone filled MOP leaves is very very nice. Maybe a little "flowery" but only the most macho would have any objection, the design really looks nice. Mahogany body with quilted maple top, 1 piece mahogany neck with 22 medium frets on a bound rosewood board, Gibralter III bridge, Ibanez NeoN neck and NeoB bridge pickups mounted in rosewood rings, Gold hardware, available in TGB [transparent Gray Burst shown here] and BB [Blackberry shown below]. $799.99 List price.
